You really make some of the best gimbal reviews, I like my RS3 mini so far, as a beginner when it comes to film-making I'm still getting used to it, but one thing that was slightly disappointing is the quick release system, it's not compatible the with falcam F38 quick release plate that I use and this gives me extra work as I have to switch between the two, other than that, it's been great with my little ZV-E10.
Falcam actually just made a prototype quick release plate that’s for the f38. It’s in development that will replace the existing dji plate making it much easier. Stay tuned.
I really appreciate how unlike most of the videos here you truly went into the practical details in depth including the small negatives that this had. I bought one myself and wondered why it wasn’t working like all the paid/DJI provided reviews but seeing your video puts my mind at ease. Subscribed.
Love the review! One question, I have tamron 35-150 and it weighs around 1160g 😢, I was initially thinking to get the mini, you would think normal version would be better to hold that lens?
thank you very much for your honest, clear and informative review, it was much needed. 6:18 important to know that this gimbal won't hold a larger front-heavy lens .... I have the ronin sc and I just bought a Canon R6II with the RF 24-105 F4 zoom lens .... you can balance it on the Ronin SC but there is not enough clearance .... so even if the motors can still work, not all movements are possible. And from your review I reckon that the small size of the RS3 Mini will not provide enough clearance for a perfect functioning .... even if in the official page it is listed as a supported lens.
Great video. I had the RS3 Mini and returned it. I kept getting a 'tilt axis locked' error when I turned on the unit when all my axes were unlocked. Plus, I am looking for something like the RS3 that can detatch the battery, however, I'm thinking the top portion of the RS3 is too wide/bulky to carry around for smaller mirrorless / point & shoot cameras. I'm wondering if the M3 or M2S are good options and if they're more portable than the RS3 Mini. 🤔
Hey! Thanks for this! Super helpful. Just one thing. You mentioned with the rs3 going portrait mode was just one click. But you never showed how. I thought you also had to remove the camera and turn it sideways on the rs3?
Maybe a stupid question but do you have to balance your gimbal again when you zoom your lens? Because I'm always doing that, but I saw that you didn't. But I have the zhiyun weevil S for a few years now, and I think it's less stable then the rs3 mini.
Great comparison 🎉 Thank you. Looking at the footage, it looks shaky if compared with RS3?

Do you also have this issue that the RS3 Mini is vibrating and making a slight noise, almost rhythmically? Even when you use a really light setup, with the gimbal properly balanced of course. I am aware of the fact that inside a gimbal there are moving pieces and there should be some noise and vibrations but these seem different than any other gimbal. If anybody has the same issue or if you know that is normal for it to do so please let me know.
Personally I would pick the mini as most movements are doable on this smaller setup (using my s3) I find the rsc2 over long time use the snap body feature tends to wear. I just feel a little insecure , not a great confidence boost
The mini couldnt do a full 360 roll for my fx30 and sigma trio lenses. And battery life may is not enough for a full day event usage. Apart from those two, its a perfect gimbal.
I'm thinking of getting the RS3 Mini, but I'm not sure what the "Creator Combo" is all about (the extra thing they offer). It says it comes with two transmitters and one receiver (and a case)... so does that mean it comes with wireless mics? When I got the "Fly More" Combo with my drone, it was definitely worth it, so I'm just trying to figure out the same thing for the RS3 Mini. Is the "Creator Combo" that's offered with it worth it? Do you need it? P.S. I already have a Rode wireless microphone... so should I still get the Creator Combo, or not?
Man i love your review, i really appreciate that your dedication and only a matter of time until you become big.I just hope you stay real even when you get showered with all the sponsored stuff. Another question, i m running a canon r5c and i m currently looking for a gimbal but i only run manual lenses, i might think about getting some rf primes when 3rd party companies release rf lenses next year but for now i m all manual. What gimbal would you recommend, i guess i need a focus motor but i know that i can probably shoot without one too.
@TechTok so I went to your page and watch your videos but none talked about the 1 button click to vertical. So I'm confused what video you were talking about. I've watched other videos about the rs3 and I have yet to see the one click function. All have to remove the plate and adjust it?
For the RS3, did your prongs on the motor part (where the battery connects) shift inside? Just bought a brand new RS3 and the entire system would not turn on because of that. Getting a replacement now, but nervous if that's an ongoing hardware issue. Great video btw!
Not quite sure which part you are referring to, sounds like the power isn’t connected properly? Haven’t had issues with my rs3 yet. Hope your replacement unit is all good 👍
Hi! Great video! 🎉 Can sum1 suggest plz if RS3 Mini is compatible wz Sony A7C wz Sony 20-70 mm lens? Salesman is insisting fr RS3 but I want portability fr travel vlog. We can't return product here.
I wish I would have seen this before buying the Mini!! The Mini has been disappointing for me as something who shoots adventure sports, I don't really believe it can take anywhere near the 2kg payload. It becomes a hassle and unusable professionally. I've swapped mine for an RS3!!

Best review of this gimbal on youtube so far, and I watched a lot. Thank you!
I genuinely appreciate the 200mm test! That was pretty crazy!

@@MrTechTok that’s great, thank you for letting me know.
Does the dji plate work on the f38 products? I thought they were all arca compatible
@@illuminis The mini has a new style plate. Not the same as on my RS2.
RS3 min is almost perfect - which gimbal you want to review next? Feiyu Scorp Mini?

I love how you are about practicality and real world usage!! Best comparison I’ve seen on these gimbals
Im still unsure why this channel dont have more followers. Very pro made and quality content
After watching so many videos of Gimbals, I bought the DJI RS 3 Mini and I'm happy. Thanks to one of your good reviews, it made the choice easier.
glad I could help

It needs the focus wheel... so I can use for zoom

Hi there I am using the r6 ii +24-70 do you think the mini could withstand the weight? thank you.

Balance it at its mid point zoom and you dont have to balance it anymore.
Your practical in depth overview just helped me change my mind from the mini to the Rs3, thanks!

Fantastic and well done video extremely informative 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

@Techtok I'm going to get the BMPCC - given the clearance and balancing issues, would you still recommend the Mini?
Im impressed how you managed to balance the Mini 3 with a small rig... I was never able to do that.
Thanks for making a perfect practical possibilities comparison
I'm betwen Weebill 3 and Crane 2s what do you recommend??? 🤔
This is the definitive video. Deciding on the Mini after watching this. Thanks!
cheers orlando
i wish there was a comparaison of the running shots between the 2 gimbals?
Maybe in another ultimate showdown video this year. But you can check out the rs3 running shot I did in its own video on my page. Same tests.
How does rs3 mini compare to rsc2, if price is an issue, and r3 is too expensive?
Awesome comparison! Subbed - I went with the RS3 mini for my sony ZV-E10 setup
I'm wait for the video comparation RS3 mini vs Scopr C , Scorp mini
Don’t have the scorp C but do have the mini. Will review that next
Great vid as usual! I Would love a comparison with the RSC2.. Would you choose it over the Mini for semi - pro work? Thanks!
Personally I would pick the mini as most movements are doable on this smaller setup (using my s3) I find the rsc2 over long time use the snap body feature tends to wear. I just feel a little insecure , not a great confidence boost
@@MrTechTok thanks! That snap feature also makes me doubt. 🤔
Excellent comparison. very helpful. Thank you.

Which gimble best sir ? Your choice
rs3 mini for easy for travel
I think I missed the part where you showed "switching from horizontal to vertical is a 1 button click on the rs3"
Good suggestion, as most people should already seen this feature. But It’s in my rs3 review full breakdown as this review is more for rs3 mini. Cheers
@@MrTechTok I don't follow you so this is the first video that's popped up from you but will go back and check that out! Thanks

Thanks for the honest review . Due to limited budget and just wedding shoot , so i will go for rs3 mini hahaha
Hi there, would you recommend RS 3 mini over Weebill 3S? Is the payload the same for both?
personally I would probably take the WB3S actually. see if you can find one at decent price

rs3 mini or crane m3s?
Can Sony A7IV with smallrig cage fit RS3 mini?
Do DJI send you the products?
Nope purchased this for 1400CNY like all my gimbals I’m not sponsored nor sent. otherwise it defeats the purpose of a “review”
This was actually good . ❤
IBIS on and off对比很不错,请问用稳定器的时候,有必要开active增稳吗?会不会更好?
我就是用active 做的测试

been waiting for this. might trade in my rs3 for this mini!
What did you decide?
Don’t
i didnt. my rs3 hasnt been used since.
Apparently the Crane M3S also can do pretty well with an 'unbalanced' setup.
the force is strong with this one

Hello, I just had my gimbal. When I am in lock mode, the pan axis is still moving. Should it be locked right?
Nopes, the lock trigger only locked to your recent target, so your pan axis will rotate to lock on to that.
IBIS nedir?
In body image stabilization
You said in the video the rs3 standard does vertical to horizontal automatically?

@@sripadsahu if you don’t need to stabilize really large lenses, definitely get the mini
Видел проплачено. Rs3 обычный и стоит ближе к краю кадра, и объектив с дисторсией растягивать углы. Это чтоб он казался крупнее
