@@starjun97 I think Tom means it has now become one of HIS new personal favourites, rather than the song being new per se when it is 30 or so years old. I am assuming that is why he put the word new in quotes.
@@lilianacaetano2866 I just think that the other poster was questioning if "musicist" is actually a word or not, rather than a judgment on your opinion.
I personally prefer "No Man's Land" over the three songs from Billy's "River of Dreams" album that were included on Billy's Greatest Hits Volume III album which are the following: All About Soul, Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) and River of Dreams.
I always get censored. All I posted was that it's nearly 30 years since Billy's final album and that he refuses to do new music partly due to his divorce to Christie Brinkley.
He actually got really disillusioned with the business because of getting shafted by a manager (who he sued for a ton of money, it was very public). Lots of clues in the lyrics on that album, and The Great Wall Of China addresses it directly.
One of my “new” favorites from Billy. Saw him do this on Letterman when he first moved over to CBS. It rocks!
new? its as old as me lol

@@starjun97 I guess when I said “new” this was a relative term. Comes from his last album, which is much newer than, say, Piano Man.
I loved going to this concert but at the time I didn't know half the songs. Now I know every Billy Joel song
I love when he adds a surprise oldie to the show. Great choice! Billy still rocks them all! 😎🎹♥️👏🫶💪
Dam, Billy rocking it at 73. He still has it and puts a great show.
He puts on a good show & engages the audience well. Excellent concert.
The best musicist I know!!! Love him!!!
"musicist"?
@@ATalkingBadger Yea! Excellent pianist, composer and singer. What's the question? It's my opinion.

second favourite Joel song after Scenes. Wish he did it when I've seen it!
Something abt that little vocal at 3:12 is why every new performance from Billy brings out just a small new fun thing to listen to
They never play No Man’s Land? This song is great.
I agree, I wish it was a bigger hit so it would be played more often
Love seeing this in the set!!! Now play Los Angelenos sometime dammit!!!!
Love the backing vocals during chorus.
Great song 👌

He uses the giutar for easy chord progressions songs like this, Matter of trust and We didn’t start the fire.
Is this his first time playing this song on guitar since the RoD tour?
Yes. All the times since said tour were on piano/keyboards.
I think so too. Nassau, Philly and Boston I think it was, all on piano
He started playing this song back in 2017 on the pinao when he brought back into rotation.
Good song; lyrics are a bit outdated obviously, but I could see Bruce doing a cover of this one
Lyrics sound more prescient than ever in my opinion
@@eddiemoney1093 Exactly. More people should hear it. Might open their eyes.
The crowd behind him is like saying" play uptown girl"... They are so not into this.....

When he does that kind of voice he sounds like in late 80s/early 90s for a second :)
