@@DieGo367 we have so many weapons in the game already, i dont want a smash ultimate situation where we have a bunch of the same weapons, cause once they run out of ideas then we will complain there is too many weapons, let them take their time so they dont make shitty weapons

Splatanas to me seem like a weapon that has a lot to master and has high rewards for doing so. A splatana main that knows what theyre doing is more often than not a menace to the enemy team. And thats why i love them.
Tri-Stringer was my main way to get S+50 in Drizzle Season 2022 and I was very surprised with every additional buff that weapon got. Since then the Tri-Stringer feels more satisfying.
video was rlly well done, i especially liked how this time u just jumped into it without an intro (the intros arent bad or anything tho i just like it getting straight to the video)
When I first tried the Splat Dualies in Alterna the dodge rolls felt abysmal, they have since been buffed but I would recommend revisiting Alterna to experiment with them and also to use the Undercover Brella without its jump height buff.
I'm kinda sad that Brushes are basically pushed aside nowadays. Its a neat weapon that provides some good coverage, but it doesn't change the fact that they are outclassed by almost everything. Brushes really need their damage overlap back as it will be a good buff, but not only that but increase the ranged damage to make it more consistent. I understand that this would make Painbrush a one shot, but every roller is a one shot, so it wouldn't make that much of a difference, plus 52 is still a thing.
I absolutely love how reeflux was balanced. I knew from the start that it had aggressive potential and the changes it got made it feel a lot better to play
I really want the roller roll to be more emphasised, as both mobility and combat, and Swig could honestly do this and be more unique than carbon. Buff its roll speed a lot, and I also want the damage to be buffed so that it combos reliably with dart not just up close but also slightly further away.
There was a very interesting Sakurai video on Smash stats that revealed they track win/loss stats and it was surprisingly close from top to bottom. I suspect the Splatoon team is doing the same and they buff/nerf based on usage and w/l rates. It's kinda arbitrary but it has to be the fairest way to do it. I wish they would rank by Hardware ID and just rapidly rank up the smurfs. Current multiplayer in anything under X feels like a game of find the best Smurf to play a set with. Fun.
Yeah, I hover between S and S+, but I have friends in lower ranks, and oh my god, the amount of people I see them get matched with from 2 or more ranks higher is insane. And that's only counting the people with badges that indicate that they're from a much higher rank
Unfortunately I dont even think smurfs are the right thing to call them here. The only mode that consistantly puts good players together is x rank above 2k xp. Even 1 point below 2k and every other mode just throws everyone together to the detriment of everyone. With the removal of the lower skill specials too most games just become a snowball for the best player with the best weapon and lower level players have no playstyles they can play to attempt a counter of that.
@@harmless9336 I'm positive that smurfing is part of the problem. K/D stats don't lie, even though they try to hide this with assists counting. All you need is 1 smurf to ruin a match for everyone. And it happens in almost every single match. It's a massive problem that Nintendo needs to work harder to solve. I think a lot more people would stick with Splatoon if they consistently had even matches. 8 players is basically the worst number for this. Low player counts like Smash it's easier to match equal players, high player count games dilute the effect of a Smurf. Like I said, Nintendo needs to rank by Hardware ID, then by user ID. It's just way too easy to reset and start low rank, or play on your little siblings profile.
@@closedchill5243 smurfing implies they are intentionally matching into lower ranks to overpower them. Yes that is sometimes the case but it more is that matchmaking just puts these people together and it isn't in the control of the players. Then there is the direction the game took. This game is really unforgiving with mistakes. The slightest mistake almost always leads to death, high killing weapons are stronger than ever except maybe the end of s1, and the movement allows good players to be near untouchable to weaker players. Top players love this but for the majority of lower players the game state has never been worse. Playing casually and half heartedly even in open is almost a guaranteed way to never win a game. The game is easier than ever to good players and harder to bad players because the skill ceiling has fallen so far while the skill floor has been pulled above most players reach.
@@harmless9336 Agree. Bottom line is the Splatoon team needs to do a way better job with matching 8 (not 7 or 6) equal players per match. They need to completely end smurfing and do better with match making. If there was a feature that allowed me to wait longer for closer matches I would use it. One or two matches with some spazzy high rank player pushing into spawn is enough to make me just quit the session. I'm here to play a game not feed your delicate ego. It needs to stop because I think it's killing the player population size. All thats left are the super high players.
I mained dualie squelchers for the first year and a half of S3, but the ink consumption is just too bad. The devs took note and fixed this quickly for douser dualies, but squelchers have been ignored throughout the S3 patches
It's a really hard time being a Brella main... still coping out of my mind they'll get slight buffs with the balance patches being not quite done yet...
I'm hoping they just say fuck it and make splat brella and recycled busted main weapons, considering they're not only mid to low tier in competitive, but also terrible casually because of how hard they are to learn. I'm not holding out anything for undercover though that thing exists solely to introduce players to the class, it should never be busted.
I think the one thing that they can do to make rollers a 10/10 is to do something about the consistency problem. My fix is to have the damage round to the nearest 5. Meaning no more 99.9 damage. I think 5 is better than 10 because that might be a bit too much?
I see the editor had a… certain theme with the music picks this time. (But actually go listen to The Messenger soundtrack, some of the best 8- and 16-bit tracks I’ve heard)
Really good video, but unless I just missed it (in which case, ignore me c:), you forgot to mention most chrargers also got piercing shots on a full charge, starting in Splatoon 2. Bamboo and snipewriter are the only ones that don't get piercing. Which I think also was a tradeoff for partial charge kills. It's not the biggest change, so it's easy to forget, especially with how you could also get collateral kills in Splatoon 1. But shots did not pierce until Splat 2 :)
I'm still mad they never buffed the Dualie Squelchers in 3 after how drastically they got nerfed at the end of 2. There is no reason for them to be this ink hungry anymore
something I definitely feel now that painbrush exists is that octobrush feels like an awkward middle child between inkbrush and painbrush - it's not especially mobile like inkbrush and it doesn't have the sheer power painbrush has when it swings. I agree it lacks depth but honestly I'm not sure what they could do to make it stand out more given the current state of the game
The fact that brellas are the hardest class to learn and also the worst class next to stringers and brushes... Still love em to death, and at least tent is a really good weapon competitively, even if you have to dedicate an ungodly amount of time to it and build your entire team around you constantly playing tent which can get exhausting (I wanna play splat brella and recycled for more than just specific map modes and matchups!! Pls buff nintendo)
Sad thing you didnt mention how the maps made chargers overpowered because its really feels like 4k wasnt intended to be in the game So weird you didnt include the sloshing machine hitbox size buff
Pleaaaase buff exploshers its ink efficiency, i dont wanna have to run an entire peace of gear worth of ink saver main, its really sad just how bad it is.
Gotta make this comment, its my sworn duty to tell people how garbage it is: Roller's increase in roll speed wasn't a buff, it was an accidental nerf. They made you slower at the start of the roll and it takes about a second to actually become faster, but you should NEVER be rolling for more than a second. The only time you would be using the roll is for a last ditch effort to get a splat in close range when even a horizontal flick would be too slow, which happens more often than you'd think, but because of the slower start its now a lot worse of an option, since it takes less time to get out of the range (or just jump) than it takes for you to be able to reach them/speed up. Rolling is terrible in every scenario, but the one thing it could've had, they messed up. It seems fun on paper but they didn't think before adding it, they gave it a downside and an upside as you should typically do with game balance but this particular mechanic didn't NEED to have a downside like that since its so terrible in the first place.
Hear me out: Tri slosher should be a three shot hence the name “tri slosher” Also make it just a tad slower to slosh it’s so stupid annoying Thanks you for your time
Tri slosher already struggles in the current comp scene, it doesn't need nerfs. It can be hard to deal with at a casual level but keep in mind it still has a slower kill time than like, almost every single shooter, and it can't move up too fast because of its mobility and range. The one thing it has going for it is its consistency, which makes it great for countering rushdowns and assisting in team fights, but it's by no means innately better at fighting than something like a splatana or slosher or even splattershot.
Brush and blaster geting promoted to their own classes gives them some bonus points
We really need more new brushes tho
FOR REAL I can't believe Blasters used to be considered a Shooter & Brushes used to be considered a Roller…
