    Welcome back to the channel and if you are new here thank you for checking us out!
    I bring you what I believe to be one of the very best used car purchases you can make for 20K or less.... the 2017 BMW G31 Touring! This is a detailed car review.
    So pleased to bring you this video, it has been a labour of love for me over the last few months. I have tried to put as much detail in as I can without making the video 1 hr long.
    Happy to make a deep dive video covering more of the Tech and systems if enough of you ask for it.
    Feel free to ask me questions in the comments section or through our Facebook page. Happy to help.
    Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. If you do like the video please give it a thumbs up to help support the channel.

    I’m watching this after a video about the new 5- series, it just confirms how much better this model is. Much better looking, better quality materials inside, possible to open back window separately and last but not least the buttons and knobs inside that makes it SO much easier to drive and use. Cars are now downhill, they are getting worse. Mercedes was at its best 10 years ago, BMW a bit later as the 3 series was good until 2020, 5 series was good until 2023. Now ALL BMW’s look bad.

    • @rev-viewsauto
      @rev-viewsauto  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You're absolutely right in my opinion. Many think this was the pinnacle of thr 5 series. Best mix of quality and technology. Most new BMWs now all use the same dash and the interiors all feels the same. A real shame. But good to know these gems will still be around for many years to come. I bought a 2017 540i xdrive after this far. Incredible! Done some videos on that too. Cheers 🍻

    Very complete review, I wouldn't get too excited about end of warranty check, the idea it's very good but the dealers are not interested in helping you at all, are using it mainly for MOT and future maintenance. Enjoy driving it, it's lovely😉!

    • @rev-viewsauto
      @rev-viewsauto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Rennie, appreciated. True, it might also depend on the dealer. Mine was very open about it and said they will try and find as much as they can as they will simply claim the work under warranty. I guess the workshop wanted the work. Equally well, a dealer might not be fussed. It's still a useful buying tip and normally a great price point. Thanks again. Cheers 🍻

    Great review, thanks. Just picked up a 2017 G31, loving it so far 😊 Question on the drove modes, have you noticed much difference in fuel efficiency between comfort and sport? Would it be foolish to drive in sport mode all of the time from an efficiency POV?

      Hey, thank you and congratulations mate. Cracking vehicle. Tbf not much difference in economy unless a heavy foot. But using Eco Pro and the coasting feature on longer journeys will definitely make a difference. I know the 520d can get at least 820 miles from a full tank, I've done it.

    Excellent Review!
    Question. I have a 2020 pre LCI g30. Do you guys feel sqeaks or cracks from the door trim when open or close doors or drive true bumps or potholes.
    How do you fix it? There is a service bulletin about these defects but any luck with it?

    • @rev-viewsauto
      @rev-viewsauto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you friend. Cant say I have come across that myself. It might be possible to Tighten the door card and trim? Could be worth having a quick look around the edge of the door and see if there are any easy to access bolts/screws that you can Tighten a little. Happy to Tey and advise when you've have a look. Great review. Quick question - could you get that rear-facing car seat in the back behind you? (Behind the driver seat?). We’re expecting twins, I’m 6ft2 so in the market for something that can fit two rear facing car seats in the back with me still being able to drive comfortably.

    • @rev-viewsauto
      @rev-viewsauto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Steve, yeah I think so, I might have to have the seat a little further forward but it would be doable. For sure. If you can get a car with the memory seats that will help too as you can have a setting for you in comfort, and another for a full car. Congratulations on the twins BTW, epic news. Hope that helps and feel free to ask away if needed. Cheers 🍻

      @@rev-viewsauto thanks mate, really appreciate the response. I think what we probably need to do is buy the car seats and isofix bases so we can go and physically test them. We’ve been using a measuring tape at the moment but that’s not an exact science with the shape of these baby seats.

    • @rev-viewsauto
      @rev-viewsauto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Morning mate. Thank you, I appreciate that. That's right, East Sussex, around Uckfield way. Great choice whichever you go for, I do miss the boot of the G31, but that's all. The saloon is still great, just make sure you get one where the rear seats can be folded down, as I don't think they all do.
      I bought this car for just under £25k, but at the time of making the video some 8 months later you could get similar dpec cars for £20k. However, the world then went crazy and prices went theiugh the roof if you remember. I actually traded this very car in for the same value I paid for it against a 540i :)
