Then Ron Wood just fills in the background, and Charlie Watts is one of a kind. The man played a 4-drum kit, and made more music with it than a lot of guys who surround themselves with 20 different drums. Excellent video.

No wonder this one is the " Official Promo " ❗ The best version of this classic I ever heard. Mick& Co. is in top form. 👍
Is this version on Spotify?
Yep you said it, this is definitely my favourite version of micks opening replayed the first minute over and over so many times
Wow, this women’s talent is unbelievable!
Watch- 20 feet from Stardom - to learn more about her and others. Great doc!!
Both Merry Clayton and Lisa Fischer are very much Stones.
Would have loved to hear this talented woman in Eric Clapton master piece as well.
dont fool yourself
I actually cried when she hit that high note omggg
Lisa indeed killed it - fabulous ! I love Keith's haircut", and Charlie keeping the gang in check. Mick is as colourful as ever, and Ronnie just plays - but this was definitely Lisa's night, no question. Bloody marvellous !
yep charlie keeping the kids in order
Lisa Kills this Song Every Time :)
Every person on that stage was influential to the finished piece. Nothing of that extraordinary performance by all of them could be taken away and the whole be as great. Just wonderful.
One of the greatest songs ever recorded!! Merry is the PERFECT addition. Her vocals are incredible!
She's Not Merry Clayton, she's Lisa Fischer - the best singer of this Song.
Lisa - made this song powerful and great.
What a voice!
Shivers!
Probably one of Charlie’s greatest contributions?
1941-2021 ... still you rock. Rest in peace, your beat lives on. ✌️
That's why I've been listening to it a lot today.
Brain and Charlie💜
YOu Frank... and right on!
the beat lives on --- forever ... Blessings for Eternity Charlie !!!
75 84 & 2018 still listen to them every day and yes Lisa is amazing
Man this is a really great performance by a very talented and special band that we will always be so lucky for having in our lives here on earth.
Thank you Stones!
❤️🤘🏽
Rolling Stones are timeless
My favourite Stones song, oh the voice on that lady is just incredible! ❤
@lorrainebennett7528. You are totally correct , Her voice is phenomenal, I seen them perform this live and her voice is as good or better ❤
Lo@@freshiefreshcannabisco.6758
Ive seen many live versions of this song, the guitar Keith uses in the this performance sounds awesome. That and Lisa's voice!
Gibson ES 345, in cherry red of course!
I've seen the 'STONES' 5 times and will be six if I can find out when their N. American Tour will start! Loved every song in their repertoire! My husband was in Vietnam in 68-70 and this was in the 'songs of the V. war era' ...Keith had these riffs in mind when they came to my town to record Sticky Fingers. THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Salute
Seeing then in Orlando,I am so looking forward to the evening,I will be rocking,Miss Charlie. They are beyond awesome
ONE of the few bands in history that transcend generations of people who love their music. I first heard them in the 60's and have listened to them ever since!!
I can't think of anyone else that has and still around today..I know Charlie and bill Brian are gone but the glimmer twins without each other are really not much.
Not only are these guys old as dirt - They are still kicking ass rivaled to most bands 20 years of age today... Absolutely incredible!!
Not just kicking ass!!! They are the best and will never be rivalled 👍🏻
Esa era musica mierda rock huuuuufffff
And they are still real musicians playing real instruments.
Mick rocks & Lisa rocks ! Fantastic performance by the whole band + a really soulful Rock song! Love it... thank you!
OMG. One, if not the, best. And Lisa Fischer, beyond incredible.❤
Gimme shelter is just one of those songs that remain engrained in our souls for as long as we live..The Stones are apart of anyone who listens to them, its inevitable...
These guys just make everything look easy. I know its not, but Keith Richards at the beginning looks like he's showing everyone "how easy this is". Then Ron Wood just fills in the background, and Charlie Watts is one of a kind. The man played a 4-drum kit, and made more music with it than a lot of guys who surround themselves with 20 different drums. Excellent video.
Yes! 👏🌟💐🎇🧓
if you have more drums than charlie then you have too many...
Charlie miglior
As someone wrote below, Lisa has sung this song with the Stones for 25 years. Apparently they think she's the best available to song Gimme Shelter. An amazing voice with over 3 octave range.
Did you know she,was pregnant when they were recording this song and had a miscarriage
Sean McMillian-El yes, Mary Clayton was not Lisa.
her Name was merry clayton and she was better than lisa. lin this concert they didnt give liasa enough volume
Yes I think she has been with them touring since 94 the voodoo lounge tour, if I'm not mistaken.
@@seanelmcmillian6617 did you know in the original recording of the song when Merry says rape murder for the third time her voice crack and you can hear mick in the back scream woo
Keith kicks ass on this version of the song. He doesn't play many notes because he doesn't have to. What he plays still gives me goosebumps.
To me, This is what rock and roll is all about.
Jay Kaptin ...........such wisdom Jay, such wisdom👍

The best Stones song in my opinion. Epic, and in my top 10 of best songs of all time.
It was recorded in a era when the Stones sincerely peaked!
Couldn,t agree with you more!!! Jeff D. age66
Same!
If im ever deep in a cave.. and you need to get me to come out.. this is what youl play..
I Love this song too,my favourite, rollingstones will live on, an amazing talent for sure they have, Mick's ⭐8️⃣0️⃣⭐now still strutting on stage🙏
Mick sure as heck never lost it! WOW! He is truly amazing and inspiring. ❤
Find the interview circa 1963 about when Mick was asked how long he thought that the Rolling Stones would last and he said 😂 " ..oh bout four years " .😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@marksykes3817 Thank you, Mark. That sounds funny. Definitely will search for it. Happy Friday to ya!
He does sing some of his songs in a lower key. Totally understandable. But yep, never.
@brettralph3403 Thank you! Hope you have a Happy Wednesday. 😊
Wow--that whistle note Fischer hits at 3:04 gives me chills.
Keith’s guitar sounds amazing
Keith’s smile is so genuine. He smiles and the whole world is smiling! ☺️
Hands down the Stones are are one the greatest performers of all time. They always put on a show. RIP Charlie. You was my favorite!
How can you fail to be moved by this performance of the greatest rock and roll band ever by a long way!
Aye, they're good but the best, for me, are The Who
The subject , the message , the delivery of this song is just amazing! Never tire of hearing this anywhere! * RIP Charlie!
Lisa is the icing on the cake. Actually she is the cherry on top of the icing on the cake 🍰 Love her voice.
She is divine
Maybe even half the cake, to begin with. And all the rest...❤😂🎉
what range she has my God love her vocals
A#dim-F3
@ 65. Still can't get enough of this song and ttthat performance by Lisa Fisher.
Rock on !
This song alone is enough to place the Stones in the Olympus of Rock music. The sounds of Richards and Wood's extraordinary guitars, the perfect rhythm of Watts' drums, the irreplaceable voice of Jagger and finally an amazing Lisa Fisher in a solo that will remain unsurpassed, make this performance a masterpiece.
Absphuckinglutly!
ABSOLUTELY
I was a mothers helper for Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg in his
Cottage in Chichester..2 months in
1970 ❤️🍸it is called Redlands and
it is special with carpets on the Wall

.
If this song doesn’t make you rock, you are dead.
Is that just the greatest song of all time ? In my world it is
One of them. I feel pink floyd, queen and others have a song in my top 10 greatest songs of all time
Yes it is❤️❤️
my whold life I loved it.
Absolutely 100% best song ever to be made no doubt
one of my fav !
Goodness I love this song. Love the Stones and the female singer is amazing.
Best singer you never heard of. 🎉
Lisa Fischer
Gracias Rollings ❤❤❤
Lisa only adds to the greatest rock n roll band ever! Period, no discussions
No matter how many times I listen to this video, every time Lisa hits that note I get goose bumps!
Dean bh
She is great till she shreaks!
Me too , Eerie, Powerful, Excellent, Mick, Keef Charlie Ron Darrell shall Roll FOREVER, Walter B, Memphis TN,
Same.. I keep playing her part over and over again. I love how she runs up to the front of the stage, then how she holds that last note! Greatness
LISA IS MY FAV TOO BUT BY NO MEANS IN COMPARISON TO MERRY CLAYTON , MERRY IS THE THE TOP SHELF BEST , EVER !!!!!!!!....
Ladies and Gentlemen the Rolling Stones! The greatest rock and roll act in the history of the planet. And still going!!
She is a magnificent being 💚
Man! Timeless!! Thank you Rolling Stones for my youth and old aged memories. Damn. Y'all will live within me forever. Thank for everything.
My older brother once asked me what my favorite rock n roll riff was, all time. I instantly answered Gimme Shelter. I wish all life's questions were that easy.
Gimme Shelter is my favorite Stones song of all time.
I used to sing it when my husband and I gigged. Love this woman singing with Mick. Phenomenal voice.
I prefer her to Lady Gaga's cover with Mick.
Try you tube search for Wild Horses by Jewel. Will knock your socks off. Did me anyway.
Lisa Fisher.
Lady GagMe sucks, no one will remember gee in 60 years.
Mick looks like he was having a LOT of fun ❤
Some good shots of Charlie in this version on the day he left us forever.
The Stones are immortal, their music will live on for a VERY long time. We love you Charlie!
No one is immortal
@@michaelstauffer3918 just your imaginary psychotic jesus and tyrant sky daddy are immortal!
No one should complain these dudes kill it into their 60s and 70s. That's a bad ass woman there!!!
Counting the days till June 3rd.I an so excited ,my era,Orlando will never be the same. Many blessings to them
RIP Charlie Watts. Imo an underrated drummer for the world’s greatest rock n roll band 🤘🏼🤘🏼 miss you
Charlie was never underrated. A fucking drum machine he was.
How can the drummer often described as the greatest drummer in rock music be underrated?!
What an extraordinary drummer he was. He will be missed.
Their masterpiece. A song that could sum up the entire 1960's in just a few minutes.
If it wasn't for the psychedelic era, this song would NEVER had been so COOL!!! I 72 And still killing it!! Still surf on a regular basis also. Is there a connection somewhere ??
I am 26 and everytime i listen this masterpiece, I cry for real. What a brilliant song!
