The combat scenes were phenomenal. I would watch this episode over and over again. What I didn't like was that Jecki and Yord died. Now we have to see who the real Sith behind it is. Who taught Qimir? Will it be Darth Plagueis?
I’ve heard the timeline lines up more with Tenebrous. I guess we’ll see if there’s someone else behind the curtain. I know I’m sad about Jecki and Yord too ughhh. It’ll be weird not to see them in the show anymore.
It’s debatable whether Qimir is really a Sith since he never really confesses to it and his whole thing is using your weaknesses against you, especially with words. Plus, Kylo Ren’s theme is heard in this episode with him so perhaps he’s more so the progenitor of the Knights of Ren.
As an older Star Wars fan, that was the most impressive live action lightsaber duel I've seen in a long time. Maybe even better than the Prequel lightsaber duels.
I wouldn't say it's better than the episode 3 obi/ani duel because that was truly epic!! Mustafar, the music, the heart-wrenching dialogue. Can't top it, in my opinion. But I'm super impressed with the fight choreo from this episode!!
When it comes to mind reading, I think he meant that if you see someone's face, know who they are, then they are easier to read. With the helmet, you can't form that personal connection. It is like 'look me in the eyes and tell me you don't lie'. When it comes to colours, they change from one movie to another. Also in legends, and it is not unreasonable to believe this can be a thing in canon as well, crystals can simply display many shades of the same colour. I loved how Qimir looked like a horror movie villain at times. And after the mask is gone, Manny did a wonderful job portraying him, switching emotions from one second to another. He also had the best lines IMO. His outfit was pretty well thought too. Mask was really scary this time (didn't look like cheap cosplay), robes allowed him to cover his arms enough to fool the opponents while being well built actually, and also didn't restrain his moves. Combine that with cortosis and he looked and behaved like a total badass. Kinda funny when people behave like Disney is all about candies and lollipops, then we have Andor executing 2 guys on their knees, and Qimir snapping Yord's neck which was never a thing in Star Wars. He looked like damn Shang Tsung.
The armor is made out of Cortosis. It's like super weak Mando metal but far more rare to get. It temporarily shorts out light sabors and absorbs blaster shots like when he is shot with the stun blast, and it does nothing.
Great reaction, I really enjoyee this episode. Thought the fight choreography was awesome. Cant wait to find out more about sol he is definitely guilty about something 😬 🤔 qimir looked like he knew sol maybe he is his long lost brother!
I know, Sol’s acting has been top notch!! And the guy that plays Qimir was also so impressive!! I agree it feels like a totally different person. Yeah I could have done without the bugs, I feel like that’s a staple in SW 😂 Do something else, anything else! I cannot believe about Jecki and Yord!! I really did not think they would die, especially not BOTH of them! This episode took a toll on my emotions lol, hopefully the last 3 episodes bring the whole series to a satisfying conclusion.
I think Sol does know it’s Mae. His response of “your sister” rather than using either of the twins’ names makes me think he already knows and just wants to lull Mae into a false sense of security. Assuming he’s sticking to Vernestra’s orders, the important thing was to get her onboard the ship and into custody on Coruscant. Even if Qimir is the much more dangerous threat.
RIP Not Plo Koon 😂 I thought this was an awesome episode. I think all the Jedi have to die in this series to stay consistent with Ki Adi's line in TPM. If no one outside of this group of Jedi knows who they interacted with then his line is true, but if Ki Adi and other Jedi find out it might be that they are covering it up and he isn't telling the truth in TPM. Who knows? We still have three episodes. However this ends I think it will be cool! They are the story tellers at the end of the day
