    You now what I love, all these fancy multi-millionaire chefs who tell you it takes multiple expensive items to make a successful dish. I call bullshit. It takes generations of people using what the land had to offer and the passing of knowledge to the next generation. These beans were delicious, simple, easy to make and the aroma was to die for and the taste lingers in my mouth hours after enjoying. Thank you for posting and staying true to what "REAL" cooking is.

      @briannaquepasa5174 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, generations of people learning how to use the land to produce the canned beans, and canned tomato sauce.

    Just what I needed, a short and to the point instructional on cooking beans! I’ve never cooked beans before, and it’s something I’ve been nervous about messing up! I love the beans and rice at many local restaurants, but what if I could make them myself! I will be using these ideas tonight ☺️

    I can't wait to try this!!! This is EXACTLY the kind of recipe I was looking for. Having done many many kids parties in the NYC area, I can tell you Puerto Rican food is SOOOO good! My favorite people too because they ALWAYS tell me to eat... and most of the time Grandma is the one who cooks the food. YUM. And you can't just go order this food anywhere. Thanks so much!

    to make them from the bag, dry beans, boil them with a smoked ham hock , once they are soft remove hamhock , break upthe meat from the bone and re add , then add all the ingrediants of this recipe including fresh cilantro , once thick I ltake off the heat and let it cool for like 30 min. , you can even eat it without rice ,
