Can you snip the old wire without turning off breaker safely? Then do you need to cover the loose wire with anything or kind of just let it hang there? I also need to change a wired version to wireless. Thanks!
@@flannelguydiy6458 Thank you! Good to just let wires kind of just hang or do i need to put one of those ut caps on it? Sorry, first time home buyer and I have learned a lot this year, but its never ending learning it looks like, lol
Same keypad but different directions found on you tube. Followed directions on keypad but did not work. I went on you tube and followed different directions. It worked . A head scratcher.
@@flannelguydiy6458 The only instructions are for initial set up. If it is like the Genie than holding power, 6 and up/down arrows should clear the old and allow new set up But I am hesitant to try this.
Hello Flannel Guy family... thank you for watching! This install was easy and if you are interested, here is the wireless keypad that I installed amzn.to/3d9NzfD

Low voltage wires do not go to a breaker. You will not get shocked

How to take off the lift cover on the garage door opener?
Wow I was thinking about getting one of those! Thanks for sharing this my friend!
Dom... thanks for watching. It is good to see you
Is the code required to close it ?
yes
Nice job. Dreading doing mine still

Does it mean that if your garage door is not from Genie than you cannot use this wireless genie garage door keypad?
they should be universal and likely will work with other brands
Genie is not compatible with lift master/chamberlain/craftsman. The latter three are pretty much interchangeable but not compatible with Genie.
Thank you much..

How do you change the pass code.
it should be in the instructions...

After programming it, no matter what button I press activates closing/opening of the door.
I'm not going to let you see the code, you might break into my house.
unfortunately half of the neighborhood watches my videos...

Great video but it seems easy for someone to steal removing the battery cover.

That door sounds horrible!
