Thanx 4 posting these 2 old recorded video-songs...prob rare! I’ve had the great fortune of hearing BG live several times. First time was many years ago at a little club in Northern California. Before the show, I happened to walk by the dressing room and the door was open. Inside I could clearly see the band. Buddy was seated and looked PISSED off big time. When they came onstage - Buddy laid the place flat. Never seen anything like it in my life and I have seen the greats. Not sure if whatever I saw backstage was driving it but it was next level. Over the years have seen him a bunch. Each show is different, his vibe is different, and what he brings is diff - but always major.
What incredibly valuable documentation. My guitar students are continually humbled, excited, challenged and amazed when I give them links to the masters. While I'm gratified by their reactions it makes me a little envious of their easy access to things I've never seen. lol This millennial generation of guitarists have such an incredibly broad pallette from which to choose. I've got a 14 yr old student who's been through the Mickey Baker Series books, Bob Wills, Charlie Christian, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Page, Jerry Reed, Tony Joe White, Leslie West, Doc Watson, Chet Atkins, Wes Montgomery, on and on. Been teaching him since he was 9 and he's far surpassed me in technical facility, but keeps coming back. He moves effortlessly through different genres all within the same 12 bar blues format. He's already solidly professional. I'll turn him on to something and he comes back with obscure nuggets all the time. It's all from YT videos just like this.

I am here because i met my buddy after 15 years not seeing him,and we talked about Buddy when i had my VHS tape!!!
Life is funny❤😢
Jack Bruce plays the blues on bass very well.
It was pretty cool to see Lemmy watching Jack Bruce play bass. I know just how he feels! :)
Lemmy was probably tripping balls
Not Lemmy. Spencer Dryden of Jefferson airplane
@@mrmott44 :D I had that same thought - Lemmy at a Buddy Guy concert? Don't think I'd ever seen Spencer with those muttonchops.
@@mrmott44 Good catch! I thought is was Lemmy too until your comment. The wikipedia for Dryden actually has a picture of him looking exactly like in this video
Good thing I read this comment. I honestly thought it was Lemmy as well. But, remember, Lemmy had been a roadie for Hendrix probably right around this time so it wouldn’t have been out of the realm of possibility that he wouldn’t have been in the audience.
That bass is on fire!
Turgut Kartal that's jack bruce of cream. You know, one of the three gods along with baker and clapton.
Yeah I know. He is too good to be unheard of ;)
Turgut Kartal ok
In your fruckin dreams!!!
Somewhere, a village is missing an idiot! Don't feed the troll.
BUDDY GUY played at Mississauga's Canada's SOUTHSIDE SHUFFLE a few years back and TORE THE Roof Off!
WHAT A SHOW!
Thank You BUDDY!
❤
Man, Big Buddy was beating the hell out of those drums!
I've listened to all these individually, but never knew they did this!! Best supergroup ever.
Three beasts! This band should have been named "The Hydra".
Wow, Buddy Guy is such a supreme talent. His musicianship combined with superlative vocal abilities, is incomparable.
You know it's awesome when u pause to go through comments to find you're liking everyone else's comments :)
Saw him in college back in May 2017 at the Indiana University auditorium. Was a great show! He was 81 at the time and still killed it !
That was great. And Jack brought a whole new feel to this number playing that bass like it was the lead instrument which you don't get too much with straight blued tunes and very few can do.
JACK BRUCE IS IN THE HOUSE..!!
4 EVA
Buddy Guy too. ( But who is Biddy Gueyz?).
I agree. Bruce is cooking on this one. I am glad the mix is so you can hear his playing quite clearly.
Hell yeah! He earned his right to be up there supporting the two Buddys.
Jack is the CREAM of the crop!
So much talent on stage at the same time. If someone didn't have the wisdom to film, it I might not have believed it.
Thanx 4 posting these 2 old recorded video-songs...prob rare! I drove 2 hours and over 100 miles 2 weeks ago to Appalachian State University ( Boone,NC ) where, for first time in person for me and many I met of the captivated, responsive audiance of over 1600 singing and swingin' fans) ...be assured that at 88 next week ( July 30) Mister "Buddy" Guy is swingin' the BLUES as well , if not better than ever ...with his excellent band...too little space to describe more here!
I'm sitting here with my Buddy Guy signature Stratocaster round my neck when this came up in the suggestions for me
They had no business shooting this to look like a scene straight out of a movie. This holds up so well.
Great vocals and guitar by Buddy! Cool to see Bruce playing the heck out of the bass too
What incredibly valuable documentation.
I am not originally from this country but I love its music, I had never heard of Buddy Guy, but I did know there was a musician like him, he has changed all of my musical preferences in favor of what he did, and I am very happy to find this music and Buddy!!
Jack Bruce was a monster bass player...
Can hear that badass bass lines even without earpiece.
All those musicians are in in a Buddy Guy wonderland! Love this
Both Buddys were giants.
Hey man, dig BUDDY MILES on the drums 🥁 😊 It's the "Buddy-Buddy Show"!! 😉
What a killer version. Buddy's singing like Otis Redding and the rhythm section is cooking.
Great video!! The audience doesn't seem to be too enthused about the wonder and awesomeness they are in the presence of.
That’s fine by me. Who wants this great music drowned out by the crowd. :)
when you listen this kind of music some of the modern crap that circulate in the world turns even crappier.
+Elmer Omero Sport if i could give you 10,000 likes i would but sadly only one have good one cobber.
roderick sloan cheers brah ! u2 !
Elmer Omero there was crap at this time too and there's a lot of good artists today but we don't hear the most of them on the radio :) What's sure is that music has changed because people don't live the same life they lived in the past
True that my friend.
cliche
Just a tremendous collaboration of 3 of the blues/rock greats. I was 21 in '69, living in one of the greatest times in history. It was so good.
Jack Bruce and Buddy Miles are in the zone here. Wish I could've been there!
Really Buddy Guy 1969 this was amazing.
that drummer has the guitar solo face lol
Steve Gosen It's Buddy Miles the band of gypsys drummer
they all have it xD
Music from da Soul yah
@@cosmicfool4926 He was great i saw him live with santana years ago R.I.P buddy miles.
Was a star even before the immortal Band of Gypsies. He played drums for Electric Flag. Buddy MF Myles! 😝
its so hard to choose one of these three giants to listen to when you hear all these perfectionism notes in this performance. 2:01 Rip Buddy Miles and Jack Bruce what a back up rhythm section.
Buddy Guy . . . not only is the THE greatest guitar player of all time he's got a voice is second to none. Jack Bruce is one of the most under rated bass players and his voice is one of my all time favorites.
Great guy! Glad I had the opportunity to play with him!
