I've been to many concerts in my 78 yrs. The best one ever was Junior & Buddy at a damce club in Santa Fe, NM, USA. My man & I danced til our ears were sweating! Was already a huge fan. They were so rock solid & so alive that if I forget my name, I'll still renember them.

My wife and I had the honour of listening to Junior Wells and his Chicago All Star band in Wellington, New Zealand in 2010 or so. We met Junior back stage and I called him Mr Wells. He came cack with the classic reply ' Just call me Junior son'. What an all time blues legend and absolute gentleman. He is always missed.
I was at Lake George, NYS, Bolton Landing, Buddy Guy was doing a Free show at the park, He saw me getting into it and waved me up and had me sing chorus with him. I can't believe I did it! True story.
I randomly bough Buddy Guy's CD last week to listen in my car while in work and man do I feel this guy. Such a complex artist and absolutely fantastic guitar player. I could hear straight away he inspired generations of musicians. Absolute original. Can't get enough.
Lucky enough I've had the chance to see Buddy Guy and Junior Wells many times especially at the Jazz Fest in New Orleans, a long time ago before HURRICANE KATRINA hit. From 1983 to 1989, when I had 2 kids in a double stroller and they jammed too. What beautiful memories
The Blues made me become a professional musician. Makes my heart glad to see some of these guys hit the top even buying their own clubs and investing their bread. The sad thing is there's no more old Black blues bands anymore. Some new guys who just want to show off. These guys played the blues. You could feel their pain and struggles. They worked hard for every dime they made.
Some of the best blues playing I've ever heard is live recordings of Junior Wells and Buddy Guy during this time period. From what we have recorded to listen to and enjoy, I can only imagine how good some of the stuff we have no recordings of is 🎸🎶❤🔥
Yes, the perfect counterpoint to Buddy's spiky high-register guitar. It's not acrobatic or showy harp playing, but you can see on his face he's selecting and feeling every note. That's what it's all about, and what makes it so great.
This is tremendous...Jr Wells is a monster harp player. But Buddy Guy is off the charts spectacular. I've seen him live a couple times. Mind altering vocals and guitar...have mercy....
I’ve seen Buddy Guy several times and once tapped him on the shoulder as he walked through the crowd playing (I didn’t wash my hand for a week). If you have a chance to see him after the Covid lifts, you owe it to yourself to go, your life will be profoundly enriched.
We even got to see James Brown and we were taking pictures of him smoking pot and guess what The only pictures that did not come out were those ones I really wonder why? I know exactly why do you?
I took Buddy to the airport in Austin Texas in the 80s.One of the highlights in my life. Also used to go to Sam's BBQ on 12th in Austin after the Antones shows with Cotton, Stevie and a few others. We would sit on my tailgate until almost daylight. Those days are gone forever.
Wow excellent excellent showmanship Bloody back-in-the-day man his voice was just breathing fire man he had a hell of a voice. You can tell there is it is here it's too devotional quality to this music and the love they have for the music
I saw them around this time . They played for several days at the local university . Unforgettable and during those days Buddy's guitar playing was not muddied up with distortion so much more enjoyable . One night he played lying on his back , having a good old time toward the end of the show .
I’ve never really listened to buddy guy but he’s giving me the same feel as Peter green , BB king, Ry Cooder. The deep spiritual feel to name but a few and they can be counted on both hands. I shall try and find an album of his if anyone can recommend a particular one.

Great, but Bill Wyman's bass playing is lacking in detail & feeling. I had that same reaction when this show came out as an LP. Nice to hear this song from Buddy's early solo years get played, however.

I appreciate the fact we can still listen to the material he left behind. It's a blessing to your family also I am sure ((hugs n love from SC)

I like how Junior Wells kept his Marine Band harmonicas in their little cardboard boxes. Those were the days!
Buddy Guy was born to play the guitar! He's the best ever in my book! Inspired a lot of guitarists throughout the world!!!!
I agree Myles. Really exploited the melodrama and dynamics to the best possible effect. What a musician!
I randomly bough Buddy Guy's CD last week to listen in my car while in work and man do I feel this guy. Such a complex artist and absolutely fantastic guitar player. I could hear straight away he inspired generations of musicians. Absolute original. Can't get enough.
It's so effortless for him
The Original Blues Brothers.

What can I say, simply amazing! Went to Buddy's pub in Chicago last year. Grand, bloody grand! Old Hippy from Cape Town.
Was Buddy still playing? Its on my bucket list to go to Legends. Amazing he is still going strong at 80+ years. That is some blues power
Some of the best blues playing I've ever heard is live recordings of Junior Wells and Buddy Guy during this time period. From what we have recorded to listen to and enjoy, I can only imagine how good some of the stuff we have no recordings of is 🎸🎶❤🔥
The way junior comes in with that fat bassy chord, perfection.

it's beautiful to listen to the blues I love I never get tired of it.

Agreed....a national treasure. I've got photos from different shows of him within 5 feet of me. And he...Flat. Out. Shreds.
We even got to see James Brown and we were taking pictures of him smoking pot and guess what The only pictures that did not come out were those ones I really wonder why? I know exactly why do you?

Buddy guy's singing is so underrated so much pain
Probably, If not, one of the Best Blues Songs of all Time
i couldn't agree more with you.
Except for ever Muddy Waters song.
I have seen them in a small club in Quebec City, maybe around 1986
Was a young man when I first heard this decades ago but I done got old. Sounds as good today as when I first heard it.
Buddy Guy and Hubert Sumlin to me are the kings of Chicago blues guitar
After almost 50yrs, still one of my favorite records of all time.
Wow excellent excellent showmanship
