- CK3 playing tall is the way you might think to make the most money in CK3. Making money in CK3 should be as simple as building buildings, but little tips and tricks in CK3 such as abducting, demanding payment for hooks and even raiding directly might actually result in more gold. CK3 Multiplayer with Koifish and Simo (and Laith) is today's stress test. May God have mercy on us all.

I don't know if abducting is the best way to make money with intrigue, I think the old 'fabricate hook'/'golden obligation' is much better, easier too.
you have to pay gold to fabricate hooks. So this limits the strategy.
On the other hand, golden obligation alone can be profitable by sending your spymaster fish for existing secrets.

Sardinia is a pretty unfair start compared to the others because of the silver mine special building. Laith's starting area is pretty bad for his strategy. Hills don't have very profitable buildings, which is his whole strat.

The best place to just go build tall and earn money Laith's way would have been Bohemia. Nice rich province +a mine.
@@Geraduss yeah its a nice Provence but the Mine is hold by the duke hi self so its very hard to get it if you dont start as The Duke or replace him..
His mine wasnt much easy aswell, it being in a different douchy

the challenge is set up for Laith to lose, its a short term game so his investments dont have much time to bear fruit and the challenge invlves gold at character death rather than total made over a lifetime so investing becomes even worse
For money, Laith's tactic IS the best. It has some shortcomings though. Time. Playing tall has a really long start period. What makes it so good is that your income can be passive after like 3 generations. Then after you build up a few generations, you can focus on other things. My favorite Duchy for this is Cornwall, just because you can have your own culture and if the average devellopment in your counties is high, you can almost speedrun innovations (I played a 1066-1453 game where I conquered all of France, Germany and the Isles by having a comically powerfull army). In one generation, the winning strategy will be one that gives a lot of money quickly. That's not what with high stewardship does.

I dont think it would have been worth it in a short series like this. You get 0.5% more taxes per level,

The development you get while building will be max 1 or 2 levels. Thqt means 1 % more tax in this county

Always playing as a genius child, especially now that I can just do meet peers every two years and stack a bunch of bonuses. (As of Jan 2024, this is no longer possible, not sure why but I cannot do meet peers on a created character, their children yes, not the first person though. 😭)
I think it's because created characters start without parents, and meet-peers are organized by parents @@CSquared11

Rivers, specifically the Moselle. Same way (sorta) that Upper Egypt is south of Lower Egypt, because Upper Egypt is further “up” the Nile
Upper in rivers is usually closer to the source while lower closer to the end or an estuary.
