- It’s Showtime! #Beetlejuice#Beetlejuice Only in theaters September 6.
Beetlejuice is back! Oscar-nominated, singular creative visionary Tim Burton and Oscar nominee and star Michael Keaton reunite for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited sequel to Burton’s award-winning Beetlejuice.
Keaton returns to his iconic role alongside Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Little Women) as Lydia Deetz and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt$ Creek, Corpse Bride) as Delia Deetz, with new cast members Justin Theroux (Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, The Leftovers), Monica Bellucci (Spectre, The Matrix films), Arthur Conti (House of the Dragon) in his feature film debut, with Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI) as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, and Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (Poor Things, At Eternity’s Gate).
Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
Burton, a genre unto himself, directs from a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Wednesday), story by Gough & Millar and Seth Grahame-Smith (The LEGO® Batman Movie), based on characters created by Michael McDowell & Larry Wilson. The film’s producers are Marc Toberoff, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tommy Harper and Burton, with Sara Desmond, Katterli Frauenfelder, Gough, Millar, Brad Pitt, Larry Wilson, Laurence Senelick, Pete Chiappetta, Andrew Lary, Anthony Tittanegro, Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg executive producing.
Burton’s creatives behind the scenes includes director of photography Haris Zambarloukos (Meg 2: The Trench, Murder on the Orient Express); such previous and frequent collaborators as production designer Mark Scruton (Wednesday), editor Jay Prychidny (Wednesday), Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sleepy Hollow), Oscar-winning creature effects and special makeup FX creative supervisor Neal Scanlan (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman (Big Fish, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman); and Oscar-winning hair and makeup designer Christine Blundell (Topsy-Turvy).
A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will be released only in theaters and IMAX on September 6, 2024 nationwide, and internationally beginning 4 September 2024. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

2023 Michael Keaton: wanna see me do it again?

Back in the 80’s Michael Keaton was a stand-up comic, I remember people were angry that he got the part as Batman. Boy, were they wrong, back 2 back hits and now he’s a legend

The fact that back in 88/89- Michael did Beetlejuice and Batman back to back, and now to come back as both over 35 years later is just too awesome!

Considering that actor's history, I think they did good lol

Didnt stop the last ghostbusters from getting harold ramis in the afterlife film...they could do something similar for a small memorial.@@FrawgfithAmblose
@@FrawgfithAmblose Eww, just no!
keeping the practical effects was the best decision they could’ve made
Actually. Keeping the practical effects was Michael Keaton's only condition for returning to the titular role
very much appreciated
They need to move away from 100% CGI in all movies and use more practicle effects.

@@benmunn7593 Atta boy, Michael
I love how the sand worms still have that claymation aesthetic instead of being full cgi.
This is beautiful
They did very little CGI, almost everything is practical. I expect they ARE claymation.
@@LeeKeels i'm sure there will be tons of CGI. just the invisible kind nobody notices.

Stop motion animation
I love the stop motion throwbacks. Am I the only one who hates how incredibly clear and clean modern movies look? There was a certain misty look the 80s and 90s films had that gave it an atmosphere, does anyone else notice it?
I do my friend
That's Tim Burton magic right there, not using all that high tech crazy CGI in these movies. It's a reason why I didn't like The Thing sequel vs the original The Thing movie, it used too much CGI.
yes yes and yes! you described it perfectly
I think this film has alot of cleanness to it, but tgey managed to find a way to make it work.
Compare to tge Sandworm between then and now. While they both show similar charm, the newer ones shows the larger tool set to make it cleaner.
Any other modern film would opt to overhaul it, but here, they took what they already had and refined it.
Absolutely, not everything has to be 4k. I would love to see a version of this in the visual quality of the original.
It took 35 years for his head to grow back to make this sequel.
😂😂
It takes a long time for dead things to grow back 👻💀
35 years waiting in the line
He wasn’t going to go woke. He needed it to be PERFECT. Jenna Ortega is the perfect addition.

If I wasn't somehow already sold on how flawlessly Michael Keaton slipped back into character or how they managed to get the original cast back, having Willem Dafoe on the castlist is the perfect bow on the gift to this generation.
Not to even mention how Wynonna Rider and Jena Ortega look vaugly similar in young age
@@MysticMorigan1998 Oh yeah. Jenna Ortega was fantastic in Wednesday IMO, can't wait to see her in another Tim Burton-helmed role
yes, Micheal Keaton is a really good actor.

The original cast, except for the Maitlands (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin). They also didn’t get Jeffrey Jones, but I understand that, thanks to his “proclivities.”
Needs to be said. Catherine O Hara still looks amazing 35 years later
Totally agree
Both Winona and Catherine look 10-15 years younger than their actual ages. Geena Davis looks amazing too. Hopefully they can successfully convince her to come back if there is a 3rd film.
it's ai you dumb kid
She looks so beautiful
Her eyes are always stunning.
I love that they didn't go overboard with the CGI and actually stuck to the same DYI look the original had
I wish my mom was still alive to see this with me. She loved Michael Keaton and this character. We laughed so hard in the theater together. I was 15 at the time...and I can still close my eyes and picture us smiling and laughing. Especially when the "Day-O" song came up and they started dancing around with each other at the table!!! The “EEEK” just gets me every time it’s like a trained response for that first Beetlejuice to send him back

dont worry! IGN will come through and trash it like they usually do..
😊
Me too. Keaton was and still is the best beetlejuice and Batman.
I just appreciate that it's not a remake! Or a prequel! An actual sequel?!
There have been a lot of recent movies that have just been regular sequels. And there are also a lot of movies which are original ideas not based on existing franchises. Audiences don't spend theater money on movies that aren't Batman or existing properties. Hollywood is boxed in.
Since we’re not getting Stranger Things this year, this is a perfect way to get our Winona fix.

Yeah, the claymation stuttering of the sandworm was brilliant. I'm so glad it all 'looks' right!
it makes it look worse, enough with this nostalgification of movies we want RAW CINEMA!
I hate it when people talk about movies like they know what they're talking about and other morons agree. There's no practical effects such as matte paintings/stop motion clay, it's loaded with crappy VFX, and they look nothing like the "80s". Idiot.

The cherry on top is the fact that instead of just calling the movie "Beetlejuice 2" they named it "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" and that's incredible!
It also makes me hope for a third movie to finally finish the joke.
Edit:
Although very obvious a third movie titled "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" is planned to be made next, nothing is guaranteed unfortunately.
Michael Keaton, and many of the other returning original actors are getting old and might not be available by the time the third movie starts production, the movie most likely won't be made if the actors aren't available. Even if all of the actors are still here, the movie itself will need to be green lit and have the funding to even begin said production. Even succeeding in those, there is still the possibility of the movie being shelved or abandoned abruptly.
A lot of things could happen that can stop the third movie from being made. Which is why I *hope* for a third movie to be made.

I used to watch it all the time. And transformers.
That cartoon literally gave me nightmares and I got scared whenever I heard the opening or end credits but it wasn't a scary show to watch. I didn't know it was based on a movie when I was a baby.
That classic Tim Burton animation style is so iconic. I cannot wait to see this in theaters.
Cannot WAIT for this sequel. The fact that Keaton has aged just makes him all that much more creepy-looking to perfect this role!
- Monica Belucci missing her ring finger at 1:34... Beetlejuice pulling the ring off the severed finger in the first movie... I see a story arc coming
- When Keaton says, 'I'm gonna make you so happy' in the not-so-Keaton voice, Ryder from behind appears to be smiling and gestures as if she nervous-laughs, plus several scenes where they are doing things together- suggesting they might be friends in this movie (like the animated series) trying to vanquish/escape the villains Belucci and Dafoe. Belucci IS holding up the Danny Devito character when she asks 'Vere ess Beetlejuice?'
- One of the most iconic scenes of the first film was the dinner party where the uppity guests got spooked... I see at 1:23 a Halloween party getting the same treatment 🤩
- If those are all deceased handmaids standing behind Catherine O'Hara, that would be the blackest comedy right there (although they're probably witches that were drowned or burned at the stake).
- What appear to be frozen Turkish soldiers escorting Ortega to the train... another interesting detail 😶
- The DOUBLE-DELUXE LUNG TOSSER at 1:59 😍
I am so happy to see that I'm not the only person who noticed Monica Belucci's missing ring finger! That made me squeal in delight to see that continuity.
Something is telling me the 3rd movie will be called "bettlejuice bettlejuice bettlejuice" check back 36 years from now.
of course but if this one is a success, they probably won't wait 36 years to make a third one lol
@@Lady_Morgana_HighPriestress Michael Keaton probably won't be alive that long
Confirmed BOT
@@joshhickeysmoviereviews indeed
I will also accept "Beetlejuice: It's Showtime" as the title.
"Here's a preview"
That was the best preview for a trailer without spoiling the trailer, thank you
How a preview should be done.
I love who Tim Burton cast for his movies. Perfect fit.
I can't wait to watch this. My kids love beetle juice.
My Mom was big on Tim Burton's classic movies and showed them to me as a kid. I was obsessed and we bonded over them. Now as an adult I get to take her to see this one. :)
I grew up on them as well. Tim Burton is my favorite film director of all time and the original Beetlejuice is one of my top 30 favorite movies of all time.
Your mom and I used to love watching movies together.... Beetlejuice and chill...
@@ruffhausmalinois Don't be gross. Ew.
36 years later. Worth all that time.
IT’S SHOWTIME!!!
Indeed it’s time FOR THE JUICE
I so can't wait for this. When the first movie dropped, my parents took my brother and I to see it. We had a blast.
It's Showtime
The "I'm gonna make you so happy," is my favorite part of this trailer
Catherine O’Hara nailing her only word in the trailer “ ugh “ lol
