- 2022 has been a wild year for movies. Unfortunately, there are always some movies that just don't work for you...and these ten worked the least for me.

cody always seems to have a great neutral perspective that puts horror first. even when he has a strong opinion he always explains why in depth, great editing and content in general
Thank you
That's what I enjoy most...he puts his thoughts about why he feels a certain way about a film very clearly. Great content.
Anyone else sitting around waiting for Cody to drop these videos? No? Just me then.
Yea just you
Well I’m not sitting around waiting but I do anticipate them with excitement! Angry and pessimistic Cody is just too entertaining!
@@oh.....5075 you know you were waiting Bambino
It’s my favorite time of year.
You got too much time on your hands
I saw the first 8 movies, and I was like, "This must be a relatively good year for films" because even Dashcam he had something positive to say about. But then he talked about Jeepers Creepers Reborn and Birdemic 3. You have my sympathies, Mr. Leach.
There were a lot of bad movies but I think just like us Cody avoids bad movies.
I watch 193 movies this year only 26 movies I gave below average reviews of
I mean Birdemic is at least intentionally bad. I don't know what happened with Jeepers Creepers Reborn. I get that nobody wants to put much money into a Jeepers Creepers film due to the reputation the franchise has but why pay for the rights in the first place or even make the film.
Where can you watch birdemic 3 I can’t find it anywhere in Canada. I love james’s movies his incompetent it’s heartwarming like a less creepy Neil breen
@@bobgunter9608 probably wont come out till 2023 most like quietly on a stream service you'll have to keep an eye out for it if you really must watch a so bad it might be good film
Did you watch that many new movies this year
I really appreciate Cody’s balanced approach in trying to find pros and cons in everything
seriously im diggin his content he may be the next Chris Stuckman in terms of quality of level headed balanced perspective not just for horror but i appreciate he delves into other film genres.. example i used to like " We Watched a MOvie" channel but im pretty annoyed all they do is just slasher horror or the same freakin 40 movies and franchises. No wider scope, all over the place commentary and just way too tunnel visioned in even horror genre.. i may unsubscribe " We Watched a .. Horror movie" lmao . Good stuff @CodyLeach
Rob Zombie really needs a script writer, advisor, editor or at the very least someone to check his worst impulses. He's a talented director but his scripts vary wildly in consistency and quality - it's like the first draft makes the cut every time.
Rob Zombie = Horror George Lucas
@@p.d.l7023 ya very good analysis and comparison
We get not only one, but two epic rants on Jeepers Creepers: Reborn from Cody in 2022. What a year to be alive! For the record, I'm also a huge Jeepers Creepers fan and Reborn will be my worst movie of the year (because I didn't watch Birdemic 3)
As always, love your stuff man. Can't wait to see the rest of your end of year videos!!!
My sister and I are huge fans of the first two Jeepers Creepers, she held out hope that this fourth one would be good. At least better than the third! My poor sister even reached out to the direction of Jeepers Creepers:Reborn to thank em’ for giving the series a chance! 😂
I truly believe this channel has dead meat potential popularity wise with cody at the helm. Always great in depth explanations to your opinions and give a different insight to movies that 99% of these other channels just dont. Keep it up man i love the content. Keep giving us new things and i will always be back!
Thank you
First time on this channel and I really like Cody's perspective -- very balanced and much more nuanced takes than I expected. Subscribed!
Glad his channel is growing. Be sure to check out more of his stuff. He’s been great for years.
I'm curious as to what exactly you thought you were gonna get lol.
@@TwistedReality13 My first impression was that he'd be more of a fanboy than a real critic, but that's why there's a saying about judging book covers.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Jeepers Creepers 1, the first half was one of the scariest experiences I had in my entire life up to that point. It was on it's way to be the greatest scary movie ever made. The reveal of the creeper went downhill faster than anything I have experienced.
At the second I started watching this video, I was thinking :”If Birdemic 3 isn’t number one, I’m gonna be mad”
“If you’ve never heard of this franchise I apologize for changing that” 😂😂😂
Find out if your Neighbors have it and watch it thru binoculars is one of my favorite likes ever 😂😂😂
Haha yes!
I enjoy the “Worst of the Year” lists as much as I enjoy the “Best”. It’s all subjective, and personally I think it’s good to discuss both. If it weren’t for the bad movies, we probably wouldn’t appreciate the good ones nearly as much.
Cody, I think a great video idea would be a “top 25 essential horror movies every fan of the genre needs to watch” I’ve seen a ton of the modern horror movies but I feel like I need to branch out and watch more classics (1950s-1980s era) and would love your input, love the videos!
I so want another 30 Days of Night level vampire movie. Give us scary and vicious vampires again!
One, no I had never heard of Birdemic before this so thanks for that..
And two, the thing that baffles me about it is that you should like something because you ACTUALLY think it's good. Not that "oh man it's so good cause it's so not good look at us we're cool cause we get it" mentality.
Anyways love your videos. You're the only TH-camr I watch so keep it up!
Thanks Cody. Been watching you for about a year now & you keep getting better & better. You threw out enough hilarious one-liners for an entire script & had me rolling in the aisles.
Your quick becoming one of my favorite channels. You're not afraid to offend people by telling them how awful the movie is. I agree with everything you said about Jeepers Creepers. (In fact- agree on all your critiques in this episode)The original is a classic, and I'm glad I got to see it in a theater. Saw 10 minutes of part 2 & almost broke my TV. Saw 5 minutes of part three and wanted to pluck my eyeballs out with a fork. I've to go to Walmart. I need to get some binoculars so I can watch Jeepers Creepers Reborn through my neighbors window.
Peace.
Thank you Cody, excellent countdown as yours always are. Perhaps you could do TV series/ Mini-Series next? Just trying to save some folks from 6 episodes of “The Watcher”. 🤣
The CGI and use of green screen in Jeepers Creepers reborn😂
Honestly, I’m kinda shocked that Love & Thunder is not in the list considering how much Cody disliked it
OST all these movies seem like horror movies and love and thunder was not.
Randos ask: "Are these movies telling the commentary and morals WE want them to tell?"
I ask: "Is this movie good?"
I’m new to this channel but loving all of this content the way he describes everything and the way he talks about them! Keep bringing on more of these!!!
I don't know which I loved more "If you’ve never heard of this franchise I apologize for changing that" or "If you find out your neighbours have it watch it through some cheap binoculars"!
I also totally forgot about morbius. I was trying to remember what movies I saw with my friend and completely forgot about this one. To me it was just generic origin story where I pinpointed everything I'd seen something in and it's basically batman begins with the whole morbius standing with the bats scene.
28:30 THAT’S ME!!!!
ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!
Said no one ever
2:27 to be fair, that character was the main reason they even got into the situation they were in, since she didn't shut up about her stupid teddy bear, which ended up being in the car anyway, so they basically returned to the house and put themselves in harms way because their kid wouldn't shut up about a very insignificant thing, that wasn't even a problem to begin with
I'm actually surprised you didn't have Halloween Ends in your top 10, I'm not disappointed as I actually liked it and after a couple of watches I am appreciating it more.
Cody said he liked Ends, that it was disappointing in a few ways but that it is still a good movie.
Only found your channel earlier this year but really enjoy all the content you make keep up the good work!
1. After Ever Happy
2. Moonfall
3. Terror on the Prairie
4. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn
5. Brazen
6. Along for the Ride
7. Morbius
Before Jeepers Creepers Reborn started the director of the film was talking about how he was asked if he wanted to make this film. He was saying how honored he was and how much of a fan he was of the first movie. He even had the balls to say how proud he was of the film he made along with him talking so highly of the cast. Let me just say that movie was a huge slap to the face and it went against everything what the Creeper is supposed to be. If I was Timo Vuorensola I would be ashamed/embarrassed for that kind of movie he put out. No more Jeepers Creepers movies please and thank you! 😂
I haven't even seen the first 3 since they where all directed by a predator
My god, Dashcam was horrible.
These lists have always been fun. I guarantee you that some of the creators of these films would rather be on these lists than their movie be completely ignored and forgotten.
Your mini rant on JCR made me laugh. Binoculars comment ❤️. Great list video, Cody.
Thanks for the cool video Cody. I’m a recent but big fan of your work. Best wishes to you and your family going into 2023.
Love your reviews Cody , thanks for this review - all the best for 2023
I like "Top 10 worst movies" videos more than "best movies" videos. It's more fun, and therapeutic.
As a huge fan of horror, with the 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre being my all-time favorite, I was so very disappointed with Barbarian. I went in blind and can’t believe how much praise this movie got after I walked out of the theater. It’s more of a science fiction X-Men type movie mixed in with some good old-fashioned incest rather than being classified a horror movie
Really like your videos! Subscribed.
I am truly shocked that jeepers creepers reborn isn’t first. A zero and that very rarely happens and it’s only second. That’s insane.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays Cody by the way. Tulsa King has been interesting so far as a show and Top Gun: Mavrick was my favorite movie of the year for me.
Great list Cody, definitely agree with many of your picks. Here's my top 5 worst.
Honorable mentions, Morbius and Jurassic World Dominion
5 Thor Love and Thunder
4 Prey for the Devil
3 Men
2 Jeepers Creepers Reborn
1 Legend of La Llorana
I didn't see a lot of movies in 2022 but Morbius Halloween Ends an Nope on my list.. I'll put The Munsters also. As soon as I watched it 10 mins later I turned it off because it was that bad..
@@jada8047 finally I was not the only person who hates Nope, about just as much as I hate jeepers creepers reborn
@aagamesyt2282 yea nope was really bad, great title for a movie when someone ask you do you wanna see it. (Nope)
I still haven't seen Jeepers Creepers Reborn..
That franchise had so much potential. They should of let original Director finish series, he did his Time in jail..
That Franchise was the next big thing shame it went to waste...
When you said that the demon used math in the cellar I said in my head huh
When they announced Morbius I was overly excited, Morbius was my favorite villain from the 90s cartoon...then the movie came out
No Morbin' Time today huh?
@Matt Epperson I hear you it's easily the worst thing I have seen from the spider man universe.
I really root for The Munsters. I've watched it several times and realized all my goodwill is based upon wanting Jeff Phillips to succeed in his performance as Herman. I think he really tried and came as close as he possibly could.
Yo Cody your channel helps my depression bro God bless you
I'm not into the new trend of saying "if you knew how hard it was to make movies you wouldn't be as critical". Part of our job as reviewers is to watch movies so our audiences don't have to. People's time and money is valuable and I think it's equally important to warn people not to waste their time personally. (ps, men is garbabge and you articulated it well)
That part with Sean dancing while Cody just stares at the camera is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!
Saw about 50 films this year…
1. They/Them
2. Choose or Die
3. Kimi
4. The Bubble
5. Turning Red
6. No Exit
7. Morbius
8. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
9. Deep Water
10. Firestarter
The Jeepers Creepers franchise been dead since 2.
Jespers Creepers became a slasher, killing for no reason, I thought it would be impossible to “top” the badness of Jeepers Creepers 3, but oh boy was I wrong.
Great top 10 list Cody. The 2 worst films I watched this year was Bring It On: Cheer Or Die and Jeepers Creepers Reborn. Speak No Evil was one of my favorite films of the year and I thought It was brilliant but I get why some would hate It.
Bring it on was so bad, I couldn’t believe it
Oh God bring it on:cheer or die was so bad. Should have just called it cheer or die and not used bring it on.
Why are grown men watching bring it on
I just want to say as a Non binary Queer person I appreciate everything you said. I think it is pretty fair not to make a side, and to make your own assessment on things.
Now I wonder if Morbius truely does have a director's cut. You can tell this movie was clearly cut down to hell so now I wonder how this movie would have been if all these cuts and stuff didn't happen. How much of a difference would it have made? I do not know but I feel like Jared Leto wasn't terrible in the role.
1. Home alone 2. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 3 bad Santa. 4 Elf 5 home alone 2
You echoed my sentiments on Jeepers Creepers exactly! Hilarious hearing you go in on Reborn 😂
20 years ago hearing Rob Zombie was making a horror movie I was so excited. Then I saw it. Now when I hear he’s making a movie I roll my eyes.
He peaked at Devil’s Rejects and that was about it.
@@Pinkrosesandagraveyard yea, and in my opinion that’s not great 😂
Prey For The Devil is literally the most basic horror movie ever made. It's literally "Baby's First Horror Movie"
"Speak No Evil". Never heard of this one.
10. "Men". Didn't bother with this one.
9. "They\Them". Never heard of it.
8. "The Munsters". Own it, haven't watched it, yet.
7. "The Cellar". Never heard of it.
6. "Morbius". Never heard of it.
5. "The Invitation". The cover art looked demonic, so I passed on purchasing it.
4. "Prey For The Devil". Title says it all. No thank you.
3. "Dashcam". Never heard of it.
2. "Jeepers Creepers 4: Jeepers Creepers Reborn". Like this series.
1. "Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle". Never heard of the film, nor the franchise.
Hey Cody have you seen Cane see no evil? I can’t find a video on your channel on it
Only film I've seen this year that I would say I didn't enjoy was Texas Chainsaw Massacre, perfectly watchable but nothing I'll rush to check out again.
I think we all knew what your number 1 pick was after the review 😅🤣
Great video as usual Cody! Hope you and the family had a great Christmas and have a wonderful New Year😁
Curious how you felt about the new Hellraiser? I enjoyed TCM as it was entertaining n shot well I guess. Story was a bit bananas of course but had some great kills n is something I could watch again. Just wondering what you think about Hellraiser?
As someone who loved the movie Men it makes me sad that nobody wants to respect each other’s opinion on it. Not liking the film or getting a completely different interpretation or message from it compared to other people who’ve seen it is totally fine! Everyone’s entitled to their own feelings and opinions on media.
“That doesn’t look like jeepers creepers it looks like leprechaun origins wtf are you guys doing” had me 😂😂
The Birdemic franchise has to have been intentionally made to piss off critics.
It certainly seems to be working lmao.
I didn’t hate morbius didn’t love it. I do love the venom movies but I don’t think there’s anyway they can turn him into a villain at this point.
I hated Dashcam so much. She was the worst.
I love this👊All good things this year Cody😉
Note to self, skip Dashcam... corkscrew in ass... LOL! Thanks for the content Cody, have a safe and Happy New Year y'all!
Totally disagree with you about Men, but low and behold, neither of our opinions are invalidated! Shocking! Haha. Surprising how people can disagree because art is subjective. Love your lists and reviews all! Thanks for a great 2022, and cheers to an incredible 2023 for you and your channel!
Here we go.
Need a review of Darkness Falls pleeeease
11:35 I hated maths as a kid but I was never scared of it. What's the ghost or demon's plan? "I'm gonna make your brain hurt with sums, algebra, times tables and measuring shapes."
I applaud a worst movies list..I want to know if someone disliked a movie as much as I did lol. Thanks for the great year of reviews Cody! 🎉
Since when did it become "problematic" to like the films that appeal to you, exactly fu*k all of the ones who say otherwise.
Very insightful. Nice work!
The Munsters (2022) felt like a cheap modern hallmark movie
I was listening to this in the car. When you made the bird noises you had my kid laughing his ass off. Great job dude!
Yes! My work is done!
Have you seen Pi? It's kind of a horror movie / thriller that uses numerology throughout. It's a weird movie but I dig it !
#7 "They tried to scare you with MATH!" LOL
I'm surprised Halloween Ends isn't here. I would have put Black Phone on the list, but after seeing his shirt, I knew it wouldn't be here.
“F em too” 😂 Tell ‘em Cody! That made me bust out laughing!
Speak no evil was a good honorable mention. It was so incredibly effed up. And left me very distraught for a while which usually is a good thing lol. But yea, I also was so angry about the whole thing. So for me, it was hard to piece how I truly felt. Acted and directed great. But man….. wow
Man I must be developing a spider sense for bad movies because I dodged a LOT of bullets this year
Looks like I dodged 11 bullets this year because I didn't see any of these movies😏... and I'm looking forward to your Birdemic scene
Someone not in awe of The Exorcist. Thank you!
I'm another person not in awe of The Exorcist. It is an okay movie to me, I don't think it's bad, but it definitely isn't as amazing as some people say it is.
Art is subjective. That is art's one and only rule.
24:13 They turned The Creeper from a monster that ate people's organs to regrow its own into a generic killer who wanted to kidnap a baby.
Yo Cody where do you get shirts like the black phone shirt you’re wearing here?
Creepers reborn was such a travesty that it makes SYFY movies look like Shindlers list. Just a complete waste of time… too bad bc the creature has so much potential
Loved Black Phone movie. Love your T Shirt Cody.
There were so many I was hoping would be great.
10. Lightyear
9. Samaritan
8. Secrets of Dumbledore
7. Jurassic World: Dominion
6. Death on the Nile
5. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
4. The Munsters
3. Blonde
2. Firestarter
1. Morbius
I love list videos they are perfect to listen to at work. Keep them coming
Controversial ranking but here’s my top 10 worst: From worst to bad
1. Hypochondriac
2. Bodies Bodies Bodies
3. Dashcam
4. Choose or Die
5. Abandoned
6. Speak No Evil
7. House of Darkness
8. Terrifier 2
9. They/Them
10. Thor: Love and Thunder
glad i’m not the only one who hated bodies bodies bodies
@@cinematicsterling6897 your not I didn't like it either
I think your good out of your 10 only 2 of them I liked though 4 I didn't watch because of their such poor rating
I watched “Men” and I typically enjoy “high brow horror”. That movie was so heavy handed and I still don’t know what exactly the movie was trying to say.
It was a great film and the final act was absolutely insane!!!! The story was great and gets you thinking. I really don’t understand the hate.
Dude you literally word for word spoke to my soul when you were gone over "MEN" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don't hate the movie for the same reasons A lot of dudes hated it for..... But I just couldn't agree with the people who loved it either.. I can handle a movie that has something to say even if I don't entirely agree with the message.. As long as the message is being conveyed competently and the movie is quality.....i just Simply don't think this movie was firing on all cylinders...
First time to your channel. Loved your reviews. I am glad that Black Phone wasn't on your list. I loved this movie. As for the Invitation, the whole thing reeked of Meghan/Hawry .... Argh, we have had enough of these 2 cringe worthy gnomes. Perhaps they can make a horror movie and call it "Their Truth".
Tbf- I think Rob had no intention to appeal to anyone but himself with The Munsters. I felt like this was his love project SO much that he had NO care in the world besides making it happen.... but the visuals were 🫡
I agree with you about Sheri Moon Zombie 100%. I've always felt the same way about her acting. Husband's casting their wives, and father's casting their daughters (Kevin Smith with Harley Quinn Smith) in everything, is NEVER the best option. 🤦🏻♂️🤬
I've seen the first Birdemic. Based on that, I'd agree that it doesn't quite work as "so-bad-it's-good." It's just too goddamn slowly paced. Since it's based on Alfred Hitchcock's famously (or notoriously) slow-burn The Birds, we have to wade through a love story for its first 45 minutes before the birds start attacking. (Spoiler alert: He makes a million bucks as a software salesman on the same day she gets a modeling offer from Victoria's Secret).
My top 10 worst of 2022
1. Moonfall
2. The munsters
3. Morbius
4.Disachented
5.Pinocchio
6.Jurassic world dominion
7. Texas chainsaw 2022
8. Amsterdam
9.deep water
10. Thor love and thunder
Halloween Ends has to be in top 10 worst. That movie single-handedly ruins Michael Myers for many years to come.
Halloween Ends wasn’t that bad.
100% with you on Elisha Cuthbert lol
The “Girl Next Door” film made me have a particular disdain for Emile Hirsch to this day solely for being in that movie with her lol. She’s a certain kind of special
