For me (born 1975) 92-96 was the best; too young for the summer of love but caught the techno hardcore wave. Back then life was so simple and sweet - you got wasted then could come down without emails and texts pinging. It’s changed me for the better lifelong and we need to keep that spirit going for everyone ☀️
The only problem with this track is that it's about 500hrs too short. I want it go on forever and be in a parallel universe with the drop-dead gorgeous piano and synth playing again and again until about a year later when I wake up and it's a dreary, grey Monday morning...but that's okay, I think I can now manage a world on its last legs...if you ever raved to this choon you have lived and lived well.xxx
Literally shimmering! If you haven't listened to this in the back of an 'old' Ford Cortina on your way to an after party with a bunch of beautiful strangers - then you probably haven't lived. 🙂
I still remember hearing this when I was 16 years old and it changed my world. At the age 48 I still come back here when I’m having a shit day as this track will always evoke such good memories of a time that was the best years of my life 😊
I still can't get enough of this track and never will and so had to express it the best I can. Gat Decor - Passion (Naked Mix)" is undoubtedly a seminal classic in the realm of house music, a track that defined an era and continues to resonate with audiences even today. Let's delve into its magic: "Passion" by Gat Decor captures the very essence of what early '90s progressive house was about. From the hypnotic, looping melodies to the entrancing rhythms, it’s a masterclass in building atmosphere and tension. The track begins with an almost ethereal soundscape that gradually layers in elements, drawing the listener deeper into its sonic world. When the bass kicks in, as you rightly pointed out, it's a transformative moment. That bassline, both deep and resonant, serves as the track's heartbeat. It's the kind of drop that, whether in a packed club or in the solitude of one's room, sends shivers down the spine and compels movement. For many, this is the moment of release, where the buildup meets its crescendo, and the music takes over, allowing listeners to lose themselves in its rhythmic embrace. The title "Passion" couldn't be more fitting. The track ignites a passionate response, a surge of emotion that's hard to define but universally felt by those who've experienced its magic. It's more than just notes and beats; it's an emotional journey, a timeless piece that encapsulates the spirit of a movement. In essence, "Passion (Naked Mix)" isn't just a song; it's an experience, a memory, and a testament to the power of music to evoke deep feelings and transport listeners to another place and time. House music has a unique ability to speak to the soul, evoke memories, and unite people on the dance floor and beyond. Remember, as many enthusiasts say, "House is a feeling." 🎶❤ Piano sections in house music, especially in tracks like "Passion," often act as emotional crescendos that resonate deeply with listeners. The piano's emotive keys paired with the rhythmic consistency of house beats can be a profound combination. It's no wonder that so many iconic house tracks incorporate the instrument. The warmth and richness of the piano can bring out feelings of nostalgia, happiness, and even introspection, enhancing the overall experience of a track.
I was a DJ in Boston from 79 to 05 had to dig this one up from my collection after hearing it here, took me a while to locate but it was definitely worth it to hear the wax on my sound system. I’m in my 60s now and this brought me back to my Club DJ days, killer track! Thanx for posting it.
Wowwww....your life must have been really amazing. Must have seen a lot of things while playing music for everyone. Would love to talk one day. Bless you.
The first time I heard this was on Danny Rampling's Radio One show and he had Pascal the bongo player in the studio playing on top of Danny's tracks. I was blown away and luckily I was recording on cassette which I did a lot back then so that I had music for driving. I hammered this and bought the 12" a few weeks later when it was released. One of my all time favourite tracks! Still sounds good today.
Danny was the reason I got into DJing. They say don't meet your heroes. Well I did some years ago, all I can say is the guy is class. One of the few times in my life I got tongue tied!
Tim OMG, I remember listening at the time!!! You’ve brought it all back now as I’m typing this with the tune playing... the bongo drums heightened the expectation of what was to come - the piano drop. I can remember buzzing my tits off. Any chance you could somehow upload that recording onto TH-cam?? Love to hear it again.
Absolute killer of a track!!It just goes to show you, if made and produced correctly music can still sound fresh and new multiple years on and this tune is a very fine example of that😎
un excellent tube de mes annees que je possede dans ma discographie...cette version est particulierement reussit...un musttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.......merci you tube
was 11 in 92 but was dancing like a loon to these tracks n fast forward 32 years n several disco biscuits later i'm still doing it at 43, minus the disco biscuits lol
imagine growing up a skateboarder and listening to METALLICA all your teenage life and then one night a Dj plays this and changes your whole world from that night forward!!!
I listened to rock music nonstop because my dad said disco was for p*****s (he called all dance music "disco"). Around high school I started to listen to a lot of house and hip hop (my dad hated hip hop too) and downloaded a bunch of great tracks on an Mp3 that just came out. Woke up around 2 am one morning and heard this track coming from the garage. I knew he was playing my Mp3 and honestly felt embarrassed but when I peeked into the garage my dad was drunk and dancing lol. Everyone has the spirit in them
Oh my, where did time go.... Reliving past memories with tears in my eye! What do we have today? Thank goodness we have real music to remember! Classic track! Live long people!
The thing about Passion is it brought intelligence into dance music. At that time there were lots of great sounding tracks banging about but there were a selection of "special" tracks that really stood out. Gate decor - passion, Future Sound of London - Papa New Guinea, Jam & Spoon - Stella, Beltrams - Energy Flash I could go on. They brought form and intelligence into the chaos of the 90s Rave Sound! Love em all! 😊
@@machinaprivada there's too many to mention but the really cool thing is nowadays you can find them all online for free. Back then you'd have to chase around to find the best tracks or do mail order which was expensive. Now a quick search on TH-cam and it's there!
Early mornings with the coming the hardcore of the crowd remains and the dj’s including myself would drop this gem. Take me back to the days of old I miss it so much T
This for me was the first deep house track ever. Pounding kick, Phat bassline and classic Korg M1 piano. You can keep the vocal version - can't stand it.
That accapella has always been god-awful. How can you take the most beautifully laid out, most gorgeous progressive flowing music, and add some screaming wench blabbering on all over it? Do me a favour. Wise words RJ.
Literally shimmering! If you haven't listened to this in the back of an 'old' Ford Cortina on your way to an after party with a bunch of beautiful strangers - then you probably haven't lived. 🙂
it's truly starts from 3:35 and makes you feel the real 90's house

Fuck yeah
I still remember hearing this when I was 16 years old and it changed my world. At the age 48 I still come back here when I’m having a shit day as this track will always evoke such good memories of a time that was the best years of my life 😊

Ellis Dee? 😎
Saw, perfect music
I really miss those days, but at least we have the memories. We were the lucky ones....
Hearing this tune just took me back to the 90’s and those smokey, sweaty dance floors in and around the Midlands.
Oh, man. We were spoiled back in the 90s. - When that 16ths-delayed piano comes in, it's like manna from Heaven.
Mintue second ?
@@chickenoriental1210 3:35 oh yes!
the whole thing was new though, there was a lot of scope for musicians. We were just lucky to be living in that era.
Literally. It's the shit.
Spot on mate 👍🏻
I sent this to my daughter in usa to play to my newborn grand daughter. It's in her genes..she will live it like her granny. Love my clubbing dayz x
I still can't get enough of this track and never will and so had to express it the best I can.
Gat Decor - Passion (Naked Mix)" is undoubtedly a seminal classic in the realm of house music, a track that defined an era and continues to resonate with audiences even today. Let's delve into its magic:
"Passion" by Gat Decor captures the very essence of what early '90s progressive house was about.
Safe as f*ck
totaly ruined it with lyrics

I was a DJ in Boston from 79 to 05 had to dig this one up from my collection after hearing it here, took me a while to locate but it was definitely worth it to hear the wax on my sound system. I’m in my 60s now and this brought me back to my Club DJ days, killer track! Thanx for posting it.
Wowwww....your life must have been really amazing. Must have seen a lot of things while playing music for everyone. Would love to talk one day. Bless you.
I'm nearly 60, and I think this tune is fantastic, one of the best.
Amazing track.I can't believe. Absolutely should be written in the book of (electronic)dance music classics...
Andrej Ristic my all time fav. What's better,
soooooo true
Timeless. Fresh ❤️this always gives me goosebumps
Hi Lady 😈
Old-school magic
Yep indeed - what a tune 👌
Only 2million+ views is a disgrace for this song. Should at least be 200 million+. One day this will explode.
The piano kills you on an eeee absolutely bangin
great story
Danny was the reason I got into DJing. They say don't meet your heroes. Well I did some years ago, all I can say is the guy is class. One of the few times in my life I got tongue tied!
Tim
OMG, I remember listening at the time!!! You’ve brought it all back now as I’m typing this with the tune playing... the bongo drums heightened the expectation of what was to come - the piano drop. I can remember buzzing my tits off.
Any chance you could somehow upload that recording onto TH-cam?? Love to hear it again.
I first heard it with a Jeremy Healy mixtape around spring 1995.
As you were coming down and sun started coming up👍
Looking for a bottle of water????
Best days of our lives.
With you there my brother🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@timothyhindley1800 If I had known in the 90's we were going to live through the present times, I would of raved even more than I did, lol.
I heard this again on the series white lines ..... immediately take it out of the record cabinet and played on the SL1200 ... love it !!!!
This song gives me goosebumps, one of the greatest songs of 90's, such a classic.
If you don’t get uplifted when that piano comes in than your not living
Exactly.
10000%
👌🏽😂
I get tears in the eyes…
It so uplifting, It's epic and it makes you feel alive.
Now April 2021 and this tune still makes me have shivers down my neck . .as good as the day it came out . 52 now , bangin mix too . .thank you . 😊😊
was 11 in 92 but was dancing like a loon to these tracks n fast forward 32 years n several disco biscuits later i'm still doing it at 43, minus the disco biscuits lol
imagine growing up a skateboarder and listening to METALLICA all your teenage life and then one night a Dj plays this and changes your whole world from that night forward!!!
Love your story on that my friend, 🕺
replace metallica with KORN and that was basically me too :')
Snap
I listened to rock music nonstop because my dad said disco was for p*****s (he called all dance music "disco"). Around high school I started to listen to a lot of house and hip hop (my dad hated hip hop too) and downloaded a bunch of great tracks on an Mp3 that just came out. Woke up around 2 am one morning and heard this track coming from the garage. I knew he was playing my Mp3 and honestly felt embarrassed but when I peeked into the garage my dad was drunk and dancing lol. Everyone has the spirit in them
ahaaaaa same here....
Aw the goosebumps at that beat never fails !Now I’m in my early 50s and still boogying to this song in 2024 😅
Brings back great memories - great CHOOON 💯👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻
Oh my, where did time go.... Reliving past memories with tears in my eye! What do we have today? Thank goodness we have real music to remember! Classic track! Live long people!
I was born in 1991 20 years too late to the scene but blessed to have the likes of YT to pick up gems like this. 😊
SO SO GOOD, I wish music gave me these days gave me the same rush as this.
Simply one of my favourite records of all time..
92 is one of the most elevating years ever for music history. So many genres raised to their prime. So much to say, feel and Love 💪🥰
46 sec in that sound reminds me of a time we'll never get back, such a progressive tune, just a great builder
Oh do please go on! Any more suggestions for a 33 year old 90's rave appreciater?
@@machinaprivada there's too many to mention but the really cool thing is nowadays you can find them all online for free. Back then you'd have to chase around to find the best tracks or do mail order which was expensive. Now a quick search on TH-cam and it's there!

You know l co write most music on TH-cam well thanks for the appreciation
I feel like I’m on one listening to this 30 fucking years later. Dangerous territory for a 61 year old...
Early mornings with the coming the hardcore of the crowd remains and the dj’s including myself would drop this gem. Take me back to the days of old I miss it so much T
The start of my raving days! ❤❤❤❤
And the end of mine. Still a killer bassline though.
I absolutely love this and there are some more like future sounds of London papa new guinea and jam & spoon the age of love classics ❤😊😊😊
This for me was the first deep house track ever. Pounding kick, Phat bassline and classic Korg M1 piano. You can keep the vocal version - can't stand it.
Indeed, the kick is like an earthquake. Together with the bassline I guess a club would shake on its fundament.
both are decent tracks
I quite like the vocal version shame I can't find a club mix of that version though.
yahahhahah agree, cant stand the annoyingly loud vocals, fuck that
That accapella has always been god-awful. How can you take the most beautifully laid out, most gorgeous progressive flowing music, and add some screaming wench blabbering on all over it? Do me a favour. Wise words RJ.
Lots, of Love and Happy Moments with this Lovely Song!!!!!Bai,bai!!!
Ze draaiden dit nummer vroeg (zeker 10-15 jaar terug) altijd in mijn lokale bioscoop tijdens de pauzes, had niet verwacht m tegen te komen :D
Passion. What a blinding track. It takes me back to way back when. “MEMORIES AY”
Without a doubt the original and best progressive house track created. Masterful
That piano sample @ 3:35 almost gave me an eargasm, takes me right back 2 the 90s...
Coming up to 55 years now.....listening to this absolut master of a pianohouse track for the 10.000th time and still my armhair rises at the first pianobreak...such beautiful chords...remembering clubbing in Amsterdam to this with all the housers back in the day! Massive track!!!!!!!
One of the nicest tunes ever, timeless
Absolute belter this track
This Beauty is like a tutorial to me on how a House music track needs to be done, step by step, detail by detail. So many small parts of it that I can relate to other tracks that have come afterwards, even classics. Unbeliavable.
I've tried, but there are no words to describe the beauty of this song.
Masterpieces don't need words
Outstanding
