Thanks man! I'm pretty happy with the navigation arch and using it for gas cans. I'm trying to step up my content quality. Next video is already shot- just need to edit it. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@Deep_Down_Productions I didn't make a video of the install but I'm completely tearing the boat down to install some electronics this winter and will make a video of that. Installing the bar was a bit of a pain. It's heavy and it's cumbersome. I was surprised at the quality of materials, to be honest. I thought it would be more forgiving than it is but I needed to use ratchet straps to squeeze each side together until they lined up with the holes on the boat. I also needed to take a grinder bit on a Dremel tool to the hull- the plastic on the boat near the mounting holes needed to be sanded down so that the holes on the boat and the nav bar would line up. The hardware that Whaly sent me was the wrong size. The bolts are too long. They'll need to be replaced so I can certainly include that in the video. If you want some pictures or a video sooner you can shoot me a message on instagram @rivers_and_ridgelines and I can send you specifics.
Dude, I can't begin to tell you how horrendous the buying experience was through Nautical Ventures in FL. It took nearly a year for me to get what I paid for and nobody there seemed to care much since it's such a cheap boat. When I first paid for the boat they told me they'd have to order it and that it'd be a month before they got it. A month passed, the boat got to them and they "accidentally" sold it to someone else. I'm sure there was someone there in person who wanted the boat and who would have gone to one of their sister stores if they had to wait a month and that they got my boat. Then I never got a shipment notification until the morning of delivery. Luckily my wife works from home and was there to sign for it but when I got home to remove the plastic I realized that it was the wrong color and the seat and console were different colors than the hull. It took them nearly a year to get the correct colors of seat/console to me. Save yourself a world of aggravation and go through the Whaly USA site. I got the navigation arch through them and not only are they much more pleasant to speak to, they communicate much more than Nautical Ventures does and they're more knowledgeable about the boats.
@@riversandridgelines342 I'm not sure who I even talked to... I thought it was Whaly. PITA to purchase and the price has almost doubled in the last couple years. Kind of a turn off. I do like yours over all the other rotomolded boats I've seen though. Maybe they'll be more available in the future, or something else will be. Thanks for the heads up. Enjoy the vids.
@@dme7689 Thanks man. I thought about getting a different boat but it's hard to argue with how tough these hulls are...I'd have put several holes in a fiberglass boat by now. Since these are so easy to maintain, I find myself grateful every time I come home from a trip and can just unpack my gear rather than having to work on the boat. Not the most comfortable or prettiest thing on the water, but definitely worth a look.
I enjoyed this video- Thanks
New rear bar looks good, great idea to place extra gas cans and GoPro mount 🤙🏼. Another solid video

@@riversandridgelines342 any video of you installing the navigation bar, keen to see that as I've heard it can be tricky?

Do you have a backup plan if your engine fails you??
