Yessir, it’s crazy how much variance you can see in OEM part reliability! This car ate a lifter not long after this at 91k miles so it’s now got a healthy cam and several other goodies. I need to do an update video on this car haha
Pulling the intake is actually the 1st step on alldata when it comes to water pump r&r on the 6.4l hemi in the ram trucks due to the one hose clamp unnderneath the manifold lol. Don't forget to orientate the clamp back the same way or else it will prevent the intake from seating down all the way and it'll damage the bottom side of the intake when u pull it down with the bolts just fyi! The job pays 4.8 hours in the trucks. Best of luck to yall!
For just the water pump? That’s wild. On the car intake you can get the water pump swapped no issue without pulling the intake. Truck intakes are more bulky tho I’m sure! The only reason I had to pull it in this case was because the heater tube broke off in the old pump. Hope you enjoyed the video and appreciate the comment! @@MegaBALLINOUT my bet would be you didnt get the mating surface clean enough. but its hard to say without seeing it in person. hopefully you didnt get a bad pump

What’s the best thing to use to clean the mating surfaces for the water pump?
I typically use a razor blade or a brass wire wheel if you can fit it in there

Hello, do we need to rub any kind of sealant on the gasket? Or can I just clean the surfaces and bolt on a new water pump and gasket?
These use an o ring style gasket, so no sealer or anything is needed. Make sure you get the mating surfaces clean tho so it can seal properly.
So I did this and my waterpump still leaks any suggestions?
Where is it leaking from? Did you replace the pump along with the gasket? Clean the mating surfaces really well?
@@WhateverWithWheels i cant see exactly but I have a new pump with new gasket

What size wrench did u use to get the heater hose off?
Good question! Sadly I can’t recall for sure as it was quite a while back, but I want to say they were a 10mm.
@@WhateverWithWheels thank you
