  • The first of the spooky videos for October!
(I know, it's not quite time yet, but, it's close)
What better way to start Halloween too than with the awakening and slow approach of the primary cosmic horror of the 40k universe?
Plenty to analyse in this small clip still, and an incredible side-effect from a fantastic book.!

A preperatory video for the Halloween month!
What better than the origins of maybe the scariest cosmic horror in the 41st millennium?
The next month will be more spooky videos leading up to Halloween! In 40k and not 40k!

I love the idea that the galaxy is surrounded by the debris of probes and ships from ancient aliens and or humans who tried and failed to leave.

Barabas Dantioch died defending the Imperium of Man from Horus and the Ruinous Powers, but he had unintentionally drawn in another, equally great threat.

That's Warhammer for you. You can't have a victory without a big BUT at the end of the sentence.

Funny thing is that closest galaxy is Andromeda and even that is millions of light years away.. So if Tiranids came from it, they drifted for billions of miles to Milky way, so they are really really old..

The Tyranid Hive Mind being intelligent enough to differentiate between natural energy bursts and artificial ones honestly is terrifying since the at implies a significant amount of critical thinking and understanding of nature

Another - equally terrifying theory - is that the Hive Mind differentiates between natural and artifical signals is not due to critical thinking but memory... because it has consumed countless other technological species and it remembers that an artifical signal powerful enough to reach it means... that race is advanced enough to have spead and multiplied across their galaxy. A substantial meal.
      It's pure palovian.

Guy Haley wrote this beautifully. And then narrated with brilliant, creepy nuance. I loved this novel a lot and this final epilogue was very unsettling.
