While that's true, I can't count how many times I've sent my own stuff too hard and was like instantly that's going to be expensive. Then spend 2 months getting the funds and time to fix it just to turn around and break something else. You got to pay to play, simple as that.

@@jordansmith1626 we have a fresh water lake bigger than you can imagine and that produced tons of great sand on the west coast of Michigan. It's a great place for a motorhead. The machines there are purpose built rockets. With suspension.

Was riding and climbed a big hill with roots sticking out, I was the 3rd one up in my group and one of the roots popped up and went in between my radius rods... completely bent all 3... now I have some beefy ass super atv rods, hopefully they last longer lol. Few weeks later my x3 got revenge and broke my arm lmfao.
Honestly these things are incredibly easy to drive. I grew up on four wheelers, but haven't owned one in 10 years, but as soon as I got my x3 and drove it for 5 mins to get a feel for it, I was pushing it to its limit without ever feeling like I was riding beyond my own limits. They're basically like driving a Nissan GTR. They feel so perfect and you never feel out of control and they just do what you expect them to. Driving that yamaha was pretty impressive though.

zack wazz I used visit silver lake. But once you’ve been to Glamis. Silver lake feels like riding around in a parking lot. Tho silver lake is crowded at time(15 years ago). But a great area. Used to ride all day, then a concert at night.
I never had heard of dunes there either. Florence Oregon has a 4 wheel sand dune park there and it’s huge, with huge steep dunes and a. 150 miles north there is a place called Sand Lake that is another sand dune RV park. huge dunes!
@@Globalflavor I don't think silver lake is that big but it is a great place to learn how to ride sand and great terrain. Most Michigan folks have had some wild rides out there, and the beach is great for the kids and a chill spot to grill and watch drag races.

Theres really no need for a helmet on these things. There's really no way for your head to hit anything if you're wearing the 4 point harness properly. I've done some fucked up shit on my x3 and even did a half barrel roll that broke my arm and my head never hit anything. On a bike or fourwheeler you 100% need a helmet at all times, but these things are basically already a helmet. Race cars go so fast that the car flies to pieces and gets crushed. You'll never have the speed to bend or break the cage in these things.

Yeah... $30k on the x3, literally remove everything from the engine, trans, suspension, just keep the cage. Oh wait... you can get a freaking rock bouncer chassis for under $12k or build your on for basically nothing. I know it's a joke, but it's just so impractical that it just makes you sound kinda dumb.
lHiTMANll the merican way would be to take out the small inline 4 and put a huge ls3 motor in her. Chop that frame to pieces make some custom brackets. 30k would be rednecking that together. Yes I know you can’t fit an ls3 in it though unfortunately.

@@brentmcchesney1660 umm... they have the same amount of power and only 400cc larger and would be unreliable(staying I'm boost would be hard) with its powerband... yeah a turbo busa engine would put down close to 400hp, but you can just get a stage 5 kit from evo and put down 300+ with the rotax. These rotax engines are more powerful and WAY more reliable than other engines their size. The make tons of torque and hp without revving crazy high like others.
Just build a damn rock bouncer at that point... theres a company that sells the chassis for like $12k. Would cost about the same for 10x the performance. Theres really no reason to heavily modify a sxs because the initial cost is $30, start dumping more money and you're getting into v8 buggy territory. Just get a stage 5 kit from evo, beef up the suspension, and better clutching(might come with the stage 5 kit, not sure). 300hp is more than enough for a 1500 pound trail/sand toy that's extremely reliable. You usually can't double the power of an engine and it be reliable, but these rotax engines are tough as hell. Even a stage 3 kit is gonna be fast as fuck.
You can see across to Lake Michigan now coming up into Mears from the south - the dunes are 50' shorter than they used to be. There are also like 4 houses completely under the dunes on the east side, they're moving inland.
@@kevinvermeer9011 , My Grandfather had a house on Hamlin Lake, Ludington, Michigan, in the early 60's. The sand dunes on the north end of Hamlin Lake completely slid into the lake. Those dunes are just a small remembrance of the much higher spectacular sand dunes that once stood there. Sand Dunes, are a moving, living type form of nature, that makes huge changes in just ones lifetime. I even remember the Devils Soup Bowl down at Yankee Springs/Gun Lake area being totally devoid of trees when I was young. The last time I saw it, it was thick with trees,making it hard to really interpret what was there.

Yeah... $30k on the x3, literally remove everything from the engine, trans, suspension, just keep the cage. Oh wait... you can get a freaking rock bouncer chassis for under $12k or build your on for basically nothing.

lHiTMANll the merican way would be to take out the small inline 4 and put a huge ls3 motor in her. Chop that frame to pieces make some custom brackets. 30k would be rednecking that together. Yes I know you can’t fit an ls3 in it though unfortunately.

@@brentmcchesney1660 umm... they have the same amount of power and only 400cc larger and would be unreliable(staying I'm boost would be hard) with its powerband... yeah a turbo busa engine would put down close to 400hp, but you can just get a stage 5 kit from evo and put down 300+ with the rotax. These rotax engines are more powerful and WAY more reliable than other engines their size. The make tons of torque and hp without revving crazy high like others.

Just build a damn rock bouncer at that point... theres a company that sells the chassis for like $12k. Would cost about the same for 10x the performance.
Theres really no reason to heavily modify a sxs because the initial cost is $30, start dumping more money and you're getting into v8 buggy territory. Just get a stage 5 kit from evo, beef up the suspension, and better clutching(might come with the stage 5 kit, not sure). 300hp is more than enough for a 1500 pound trail/sand toy that's extremely reliable. You usually can't double the power of an engine and it be reliable, but these rotax engines are tough as hell. Even a stage 3 kit is gonna be fast as fuck.
Been some 25 years since I'v been to Silver Lake Dunes !! A lot more trees then I remember !!
Back in the late 50's to early 1960's there were no Trees.

You can see across to Lake Michigan now coming up into Mears from the south - the dunes are 50' shorter than they used to be. There are also like 4 houses completely under the dunes on the east side, they're moving inland.

My Grandfather had a house on Hamlin Lake, Ludington, Michigan, in the early 60's. The sand dunes on the north end of Hamlin Lake completely slid into the lake. Those dunes are just a small remembrance of the much higher spectacular sand dunes that once stood there. Sand Dunes, are a moving, living type form of nature, that makes huge changes in just ones lifetime.
I even remember the Devils Soup Bowl down at Yankee Springs/Gun Lake area being totally devoid of trees when I was young. The last time I saw it, it was thick with trees,making it hard to really interpret what was there.
