as an old guy , 68, who always loved a challenge. WAY TO GO GUYS !! That was worth a measly $70 fine.I was told 40 years ago I couldn’t ride and “park” my hours on my College Campus. So I got my horse “Registered” on Campus as a Vehicle and had a Campus Parking Sticker for it. Drove people crazy ,but they had OFFICIALLY given me a Sticker.

A friend of mine who was a police officer told me this once, police have protocols for everything. That being said, the only reason why they have that said protocol is because someone somewhere tried it. So when a police officer pauses, goes quiet, then starts to look into a manual, you’ve done something that the police have never seen before.
It's definitely not the first amphibious vehicle. It's a bit silly though. They were probably trying to cya to be sure they weren't going to be in trouble for letting them go in the water for any reason

You see here's the problem nowadays, we're supposed to be the land of the free, but yet we have all these weird laws and regulations or the law tries to find some reason we the people need to be fined for harmless things all the time, I say we all only have one life to live so live it without hurting yourself or others, because ultimately that's what real laws are for, to protect the people, this is considered a possible danger but no more then driving a boat, I agree with the sheriff's decision but also don't condone such petty regulation, we the tax payers pay for all this nation has to offer so honestly asking what right do they really have to tell us we can't put our boat number on a vehicle when we own it regardless??? All title and registration is legit but for a simple experiment like this it really shouldn't be a problem just because it's not a sanctioned event, I hope people start waking up and just be people again, really miss the 90's when nobody gave a shit lmao!!!

@@Julian-rt9qs The truck is riding above the water. Unless there is a mechanical failure it shouldn't leak anything. Same applies to a boat. Its just big ass rubber tires spinning in the water, and his axels which should be sealed.
There is very few animals that live that close to the surface of the water and those can just move or be pushed out of the way of the tires. They are probably less damaging than a boat propeller.
