Learn advanced sound design in my Music Production Accelerator program! www.edmtips.com/accelerator
In this step-by-step sound design tutorial, I show you 13 creative sound design ideas to help you develop your signature sound.
Sound design is important in any genre of electronic music - as it will allow you to create unique sounds but also understand how other sounds are created. Once you learn how sound design works, you can start creating the sounds in your head and translating them into the DAW - as well as stumbling across happy accidents of course! Great fun :)
Shout out to my Accelerator student, Conwaï, recently released this SICK track!

If anybody use Ableton just buy the courses from this guy or even better 1to1.Gonna buy something soon,at least a merch for thank you. Keep it up !
Thank you for the kind words and support! I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me :)

Haha, appreciate it! 🙌🙏

Amazing tutorialll the Vocoder technique blew my mind....
It's cool, eh? 😎
I have heard that on so many songs but never knew how it was done. Even the gate technique was nice. @@EDMTips
BTW, also your last few videos on Polyrhythms/Polymeters and Basslines were great too...🙏
Will can you please do another but different style of Purple Disco Machine tutorial.
My man you’re a freakin’ genius!!!
That sounds is incredible! Can you make an FL Studio tutorial please 🙏🏿
Vocoder is wicked
😎
Always love your videos bro💪 when I heard them lady moans I was like "you naughty boy Will" lol. Great techniques though man I'm going to try some of them out. Thanks for everything you do brother. 💪🤙
😆😇
That vocoder technique is very cool. The sound that comes from that is superb.
It really is! 🤫
I can't thank you enough for what you do. I'd love an "In the style of" Lovebirds.
Will add this to my list, Tony! Thanks for watching the videos and supporting the channel :)
Please leave this one up! Definitely will be revisiting soon! (oh, btw. HELL YEAH!)
BOOM! 🙌🙌 😎

Im getting some serious Avalanches vibes with the vox here. Amen Brother!!! Cheers for the inspo!!
You're welcome, Daniel, I am glad you found it helpful! 🙌🏻
Thank you for your reaction man.... now if I watch your Ableton daw I see you got a bunch of tabs you made with diffirent colors under collections for your plugs/sounds how do you do this .... I know it is a newbie question but since you know Ableton like the back of your pocket I would like some advice on that?
Nice video background
Yeah 👏😄
I’m gonna play this video on a loop until I know all of this by heart
Could be a blokes lol . Legend Will …
Your a great teacher mate 100%
I don’t know we’re you find the time to both videos and your music
Very talented
I mostly spend time making videos and coaching my students. I don't have much time to write my music, but I love what I do, especially when I get reminded how many people benefit from these videos :)
Fantastic as always Will! Cheers. Could you please cover a style I don't think you've touched on before: old school, Jackin' House, eg in the style of Jason Hodges' - 'Our World'. Would be nice to see how to combine that swing (that's not quite garage) and hip-hop style sampling. Thanks in advance and much love. x
Would be awesome if you make one of those start to finish videos in the style of HVOB and apply some of these crazy techniques there! Amen Brother!
You're a genius
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
Useful stuff! I learn a lot from you! But where is the old background with that cute dinosaur? I miss him.
I'll be back there soon! I was travelling in a new city so rented a studio for this
A.W.E.S.O.M.E ❤ 🙂 😊
What are those headphones bro?
stay on tune with what you want to learn, just because it's hard now, doesn't an it's impossible. It's all about ntal mindset and
Amen Brother :D
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
This video pushed me over the ledge! I finally committed and bought a course. I have watched SOOOOOO many TH-cam videos for a few years, but still didn't have a work flow to really understand Abelton and producing in general. If you are on that ledge, just Jump! Will has you covered! His teaching style is smooth and his knowledge is amazing! I bought the Accelerator course and the Bonus course that was offered. If you missed the deal, send an email and they will probably hook you up!
Really glad to have you on board, Curtis!
Question, why don't you use the resample function?
Oh and btw if the small keys logo topright is enabled, u can actually use your keyboard to find/play middle C on the armed track..
The resample function on Serum? Because I want to show how people can do this using any synth
Love tha song
Thanks!
Hello, I see you making sound design and referring to serum a lot .... is that really the synth I should focus on to create any sound I want ? or is there a better synth that you recommend ?
Serum is not free but it's great. I'd use either Serum or Vital.
5:21 lmao
What is your headset?
Man what a video 😁 in nora en pures Tantrum there is a funky glitchy delayed guitar which I'm now thinking it's your last method delayed resample glitch????!!! Maybe even reversed.. Please tell me I'm right lol been pulling my hair out haha 😂 thank you Will. Nick
Glad it helped! 😊
Thanks - great tips. A comment though: if this is not a 'only for Ableton users' channel, you should use the best plugins you have, and not only go for the box plugins.
Thanks for your feedback, David!

WILL...
PLEASE DO A 'FRED AGAIN' TUTORIAL / HOW TO ....PLEASE
Great suggestion! What's your favourite track of his?
@@EDMTips thanks for getting back to me Will. Love your channel, I'm learning loads as a newbie to music production. After watching the Boiler Room and Fred Again's set I'm more inspired than ever.
His track 'Pull Me Out' has such an incredible vibe to it. I can't find any tutorial online with this kind of genre (Not sure what genre / sub genre it is).
Please do a tutorial, I know we would all love it 🙌

Honestly very Basic stuff
Not to some people
Voice is clipping a lot.. not a good thing from a video that focuses on good sound.
I only catch one word where it clips. Not great, I admit, but not a lot!
