I was surprised by reaction to king because I actually thought it was one of the easier fights since it was so well made. The Walker of Illusions MINI boss on the other hand… I had to sleep on that one before I could kill it. Very satisfying to go into NG+ and slap it with the wrench for 9k opener and phase it instantly after struggling so much the first time though. Also the perfection grindstone is usually all you need for most enemies you struggle with the first time
Same but you probably used a summon like I did so this fight was easy but I died to the green monster like 30-40 times the most I’ve ever died to a boss besides ishin and I was using summons but on new game I beat him first try. But this boss no summons is tough summons just make it easy mode
I spent 4+h on Romeo and 2nd tried Walker of illisions lol. Had to beat him with 4 flasks because I couldn't respec before the update.
@@unknownbmx12345 after replaying both I definitely think it’s from habit of circling boss certain direction. Running around Romeo the right way will dodge most of his attacks and made phase seem super easy aside from fire attacks while same direction with walker gets you caught on every swing
@@roycecarter4663the way I did king of puppets without summons was to learn/perfect parry his first phase till his weapon broke then I start to fight him for real because he loses his grab attack and the fire attack is a lot more manageable

I got him to second phase easily, but when I died one time and forgot to grab my ergo I couldn't even leave the fight with that telport so I died when they were one hit. Every attempt after that I was devastated and made so many mistakes only to keep dying. It didn't help this was the one boss I REALLY wanted them to die so I could get their weapon.
King of Puppets was tough for me. I just have to take breaks sometimes too. I cheered so hard for you. My adrenaline had me shaking so hard that I had to quit for a day or so afterwards

The puppet string with its last upgrade makes it the best legion arm by far
btw your weapon gets stronger with technique, so if you put points in that you should hit harder. but you also need to upgrade your weapons as well, otherwise you're just going to tickle the bosses. and upgrading your weapons also increases the durability as well so i strongly encourage that you take some time to explore the world so that you get more materials and new weapons.

Doing new game+ you can now read the boss puppets are saying. It's clear and we can actually Hear what Romeo is saying. That fight in new game+ is more depressing knowing the full Story.

10:22 hurt me to watch. When you stagger a boss try to get a combo in before taking the fatal that automatically ends the stagger. You had it free there. Especially with fable arts.
Puppet ripper is phenomenal, the game gets so much easier thanks to the heavy attack as well as the fact it can hit through SOLID WALLS (hint hint, lots of things this helps with)
This game is extremely difficult. I finished the game the 9/26 and at that point the game was out for 7 days the archivement for finishing the game the best ending Rise of P was a diamond one in xbox and had a .56% now a week and a half after it stands at 2.21% thats the amount of people that finish this Game. Is insane. So keep trying my friend this game is really really hard

And 2 of them aren't actual bosses, just powerful enemies/mini-bosses.
I beat the clown in 45 seconds lol. Only boss I had to fight more than 5 times was the damn swamp monster

Game have 3 endings. I made the best one (Rise of P), on NG+ already.
I beat the game before the update, but coming from a guy who's favorite games of all time are Sekiro(#1) and Bloodborne I knew I could do it. Now if you think it's hard you should try those bosses in NG+ like I'm doing right now. Even the nerfed version won't help you. Laxasia will destroy you in NG+.
Btw yes, Aegis, Fulminus and Puppet String are the best Legion arms imo. Flamberge has been so useless for me and I fully upgraded it and tried to use it, but even on carcass enemies I just do way more damage much faster by just hitting them with my weapon they need to buff Flamberge range if they want me to ever use it again
They don't need to buff flaamberge. I made an advance and all elemental arms were amazing.
My first play-through was advance too. Not saying its incapable of killing things, I am saying every other elemental legion arm is way more useful so why would I ever use Flamberge? My Fire weapons kill Corpse enemies 3x faster and the other arms have way better status (Poison or Shock for more Stagger capability) @@An1metrev1n
You should try the puppet string when you fully upgrade it the attack you do with it does a lot of damage
pre nerf king of puppets took me 3 hours straight to kill him and i had a peanut of hp left i was shaking of happiness
The mini bosses almost make me quit entirely lol like wayy too many...wayyyy tooo much health...too much damage

You are waaaaay better at parrying then I am and I have 4 playthrus of this game done, I rely heavily on legion, bombs and the specter tho, considering you go solo and tend to not use anything than the weapon mostly, once you beat this game and see every encounter you will be able to breeze past it. King of puppets first form was hard as hell pre nerf.
The fire legion-arm is the most common under pros i guess xD The aegis seems to be the most useful of them all but i had it the whole game and never used it once xD haha

Especially after romeo I felt vitor was really easy for instance it only took me like 4 tries. Honestly romeo was crazy he had like 9 part combo you had yo perfect parry to beat him so a slow clunky 3 hit combo guy with a grab randomly wasnt tooo hard tbh

I notice he has minimal health bars and probably dont upgrade his weapons indeed. Also dodging is the key in this game also. Enemies without blade are better to be dodged, parrying brokes the weapons so for different enemies different things works.

I'm still salty that basic abilities like chain dodging or rising dodge aren't available from the start
@@MaidenlessScrub I feel like it's a challenge runner's wet dream. But I wish some of the p-organ upgrades were more useful. You get like three upgrades that just add a belt pouch, can you please give me a perfect dodge for double i-frames or assassin's step for a dodge that auto circles the target or disengage that doubles dodge distance when rolling away from the target.
Maybe even a muscle through upgrade that gives hyperarmor when using pulse cells. There's a lot more they could've done with it
@@MaidenlessScrubit’s so early on that you get those stop complaining. Also you get so much quartz early on you get both your dodge upgrades and 4 passive abilities on top of that just for getting them. Relax

This game so F'n good. If FromSoft had released this it would be 9.5's and 10' across the board, and it would be generating GOTY talk. Easily the best soulslike ever, and we now have an actual competitor to the originator in the genre.

I just finished the platinum and i can say without a doubt... this game was developed with the intention of pissing people off. They designed every move and said "how mad are you?" And they said "pretty mad" so the dev said "make it more annoying"

Agreed. Just got platinum an hr ago. Nameless Puppet had me seething. I came close to breaking my controller twice, thankfully that didn't happen since SCUFF PS5 controllers cost a good grip of money to replace.

I agree 100%, just the fact that there's no poise or hyper armor makes the combat so much hard cuz you have to calculate your moves while anticipating theirs. Also the run backs to the bosses were sooooo unnecessary, literal proof that it was designed to piss players off, cuz you wouldn't even have to fight anyone, just run for 30secs everytime just drag out the agony 😂
You could have used your fable arts to finish him off easy after your stagger attack 10:28 just making it harder for yourself
Puppet string is the best legion arm in the game especially if u get the last upgrade it’s pulls u to enemy then u do a jumping slam it usually does more than 1000 damage on just one hit

@@Floverse NG+ is just a boss rush. When you’re all levelled up and have all of your upgrades etc it’s so much easier. Watching your videos make me remember how I was in my first play through 😂 the stress with some of these bosses man

Puppet string is one of the best legion arms. Flamberge requires a specific set up, fulminis is good for post fatal attack charges. Deus and Pand are playstyle specific and require effort to make work well. Aegis and Puppet String are incredible for defensive and offensive purposes with little set up and can work for most play styles with little effort.
I liked the fire arm for doing chip damage while I regened stamina.
Puppet string is not very good til max upgrade, then it's very fun, but you can knocked out of the animation.
Aegis is the most op arm if you upgrade it once. Let's you shield hug while doing damage. VERY boring.
The other arms aren't worth mentioning.

@@swoluigi3828 Animation takes a long time, the projectile loves to miss. Sure, its fine for taking out trash mobs at range, but then you could just bomb them and have a better arm.

Theres still the issue of consumables doing its job better.
Flameberge legion arm is very nice once its upgraded. But I personally prefer the Pandemonium arm the most. But not every arm works for every boss.
Good tip . Farm Ergo , Go to the Vendor at Malum District and Max out Your Throwables. Once you get past first faze of boss fights . Spam Those Throwables . Saves a lot of headache with this boss fights.
“I don’t think my mental health can take it if I die again” is the most relatable line for any souls game experience ever we all always say that line on about attempt 15 on a boss you keep getting a centimeter away from death. Hit so hard cause every boss was a breeze for me but Romeo even new game plus 3 Romeo is still the boss that I just can’t seem to get a good understanding for something about the moment he applies the fire makes me lose all motor function for a brief moment sorta like a dear in headlights. You would think because Simon Prime and his #1 fan lady Thor love n thunder were easy for me I’d be able to breeze thru Romeo but I just can’t seem to get a good grip when he starts fire bending always gets me I hate it.
It's a little cheat but the zombie dudes and the puppets are not friendly to each other so you can make them fight each other

At 24:48 It's funny cause the puppet string is by far the best legion arm! You just have to upgrade it fully so you get that link attack where you jump in the air & Hit them on the way down. *That's the most broken OP move in the whole game pretty much!* it makes the game 100 times easier & destroys everything!! (You have to upgrade your weapon too though)
Facts. It can be dangerous with fast bosses, but very effective in staggering and cutting down the time on 1st phases. I had Puppet String and 1st phase Nameless Puppet down to a science by the time I managed to defeat that 2nd phase.

@sartavin what's crazy is I felt this was one of the easiest souls like I've played. I only died 4, maybe 5 times the entire game. I died once on the Arch Duke, & king of puppet fights, but after that, I didn't die again until Simon's second phase. But laxasia and nameless puppet I got first try (It's weird, but the block and parry system just made this game feel so easy) I didn't even use the spector either, So it just feels so strange watching him struggle with this game. (Although he does seem to skip shortcuts, critical items, & not use alot of things that would make the game way easier)

Half way through (I think) pretty much at the same bit you are at. This game gave me Tourette’s syndrome- never have a ever shouted “Get fucked!” As much as I have when I kill a boss. Both love and hate this game at the same time. It’s brilliant
to be honest this fight was ez before nerf. now, it's a joke. in second phase you just dodge every attack to the left and you will be fine.
The Puppet String comment hurt a bit. I ended up only using the Puppet String for the whole game. Once it's levelled up all the way, it works really well.

The character is way too slow for bosses like Romeo. It takes FOREVER to block after swinging or to heal or anything. You're afraid to even walk up and hit him cause he might just eat your attack and then hit you through your attack. I love regular enemy combat but bosses in this game are beyond retarded sometimes.
You keep skipping everything, you don't have quartz to upgrade your skills, to at least get the quick rise. I don't mean to be mean dawg, I love your videos, but to answer the one question you asked in the middle of this vid, yes you are just bad at the game XDDDDD
It is a puppet. Use a bloody fast electric weapon and sidestep the puppet king. Use the items as you're supposed to. I can't tell if you are intentionally playing badly. Or if you are actually ignoring the game's mechanics for ratings. Electric arm or puppet string arm would have made this easier. PS Gepetto was controlling the puppets

Lol. Puppet string fully upgraded makes the Elites easy. Especially if you use the right counter element. Puppets need electricity, tentacle monsters fire and humans weak to acid. Aegis arm upgraded is the most powerful arm. It makes almost invincible.
I’ve found that fully charged heavies are usually the best at stance breaking. That goes for souls games and this game.
The King of puppets is my next boss so now I gotta watch something different

Im glad this is the follow up last time I watched your last lies of P vid I was stuck on the archbishop by this upload I beat the game. It really is easy compared to the likes of sekiro or DS3 I think the perfect phrase I heard to deceive this game is a flawed masterpiece. I’d also put this is game above demon souls but that’s just my opinion and the hint of the wizard of oz as dlc sounds really cool.
As someone who has beaten this game, the puppet string is without a doubt, the best legion arm in the game, the link attack is just so OP that it outweighs every other legion arm (my build was broken and I was doing like more than 3000 damage with this thing)
It’s really not that difficult if you upgrade the weapons and take your time exploring every area for all items. It’s hard but not so punishing that it’s unfair. The soulstone is extremely helpful to have an extra hand in the boss fights. Not using that makes the game way harder but overall I find it much easier than sekiro.
King of puppets took me so damn long but I came back the following day and smashed it before they patched it, man I was so proud of myself at the end! Still nowhere near as bad as Miquella in Elden Ring she wanted to make me smash my whole pc 😂
I don’t blame him for breaking his controller on the king of puppets boss fight, that took me 50+ attempts and around 4-5 hours to beat and he’s mentally draining and he ain’t even the hardest of the hardest of bosses
I know you heated but you start to realise the “billion health enemies” aren’t really that tanky when you use throwables and fable arts. Just a heads up
Using throwables on bosses is barely any different than using a Gameshark

Unfortunately there are a few special weapons that are better than the puppet ripper. Trident of the covenant, two dragons sword, golden lie, noblesse oblige and uroboros’s eye are all better than that scythe. It looks awesome but the damage is pretty weak in comparison.
King of puppets really wasnt that bad, even before the nerf, just the first phase had more hp. The reason why you struggled was because you tried to parry when you can easily dodge behind romeo in the second phase and his attacks miss
If u abuse the krat police baton handle shit is insane fable art lets u basically 10x ur damage and one shot most enemies and usually stagger a boss after 2

beat prior to nerf, was one of the hardest fights i've had in all the souls games!
Yeah trust me pre patch final boss it was a focus pure run, you got it easy now on him, cuz mistakes back then was back to the stargazer, hell summon die in first phase, hell pre patch was mostly solo bosses. Summon was useless back then.
I’d go back if you skipped everything .. that area has so many item upgrades.. also aegis is my fav one .. even if it doesn’t scale as good with strength .. I have it fully upgraded

I loved this game but it kinda stopped being fun on my 3rd run, they just increase the health of the bosses too much and you can no longer raise your stats after a certain point. Plus of course everything kills you in one hit, not really fun.
