I notice he has minimal health bars and probably dont upgrade his weapons indeed. Also dodging is the key in this game also. Enemies without blade are better to be dodged, parrying brokes the weapons so for different enemies different things works.
It's hilarious hearing your reactions. But for the sake of Sophia, add rising dodge next p-organ upgrade so you can roll out of the way of those kicks from Victor and other bosses.
@@MaidenlessScrub I feel like it's a challenge runner's wet dream. But I wish some of the p-organ upgrades were more useful. You get like three upgrades that just add a belt pouch, can you please give me a perfect dodge for double i-frames or assassin's step for a dodge that auto circles the target or disengage that doubles dodge distance when rolling away from the target. Maybe even a muscle through upgrade that gives hyperarmor when using pulse cells. There's a lot more they could've done with it
@@MaidenlessScrubit’s so early on that you get those stop complaining. Also you get so much quartz early on you get both your dodge upgrades and 4 passive abilities on top of that just for getting them. Relax

To make the game more frustrating because they gotta top FromSoft's difficulty? It left a bad taste in my mouth and gave me a bad first impression.

I just finished the platinum and i can say without a doubt... this game was developed with the intention of pissing people off. They designed every move and said "how mad are you?" And they said "pretty mad" so the dev said "make it more annoying"

Agreed. Just got platinum an hr ago. Nameless Puppet had me seething. I came close to breaking my controller twice, thankfully that didn't happen since SCUFF PS5 controllers cost a good grip of money to replace.
I agree 100%, just the fact that there's no poise or hyper armor makes the combat so much hard cuz you have to calculate your moves while anticipating theirs. Also the run backs to the bosses were sooooo unnecessary, literal proof that it was designed to piss players off, cuz you wouldn't even have to fight anyone, just run for 30secs everytime just drag out the agony 😂
@@Floverse NG+ is just a boss rush. When you’re all levelled up and have all of your upgrades etc it’s so much easier. Watching your videos make me remember how I was in my first play through 😂 the stress with some of these bosses man
This game so F'n good. If FromSoft had released this it would be 9.5's and 10' across the board, and it would be generating GOTY talk. Easily the best soulslike ever, and we now have an actual competitor to the originator in the genre.

I was surprised by reaction to king because I actually thought it was one of the easier fights since it was so well made. The Walker of Illusions MINI boss on the other hand… I had to sleep on that one before I could kill it. Very satisfying to go into NG+ and slap it with the wrench for 9k opener and phase it instantly after struggling so much the first time though. Also the perfection grindstone is usually all you need for most enemies you struggle with the first time
Same but you probably used a summon like I did so this fight was easy but I died to the green monster like 30-40 times the most I’ve ever died to a boss besides ishin and I was using summons but on new game I beat him first try. But this boss no summons is tough summons just make it easy mode
@@unknownbmx12345 after replaying both I definitely think it’s from habit of circling boss certain direction. Running around Romeo the right way will dodge most of his attacks and made phase seem super easy aside from fire attacks while same direction with walker gets you caught on every swing
@@roycecarter4663the way I did king of puppets without summons was to learn/perfect parry his first phase till his weapon broke then I start to fight him for real because he loses his grab attack and the fire attack is a lot more manageable

I got him to second phase easily, but when I died one time and forgot to grab my ergo I couldn't even leave the fight with that telport so I died when they were one hit. Every attempt after that I was devastated and made so many mistakes only to keep dying. It didn't help this was the one boss I REALLY wanted them to die so I could get their weapon.
Good tip . Farm Ergo , Go to the Vendor at Malum District and Max out Your Throwables. Once you get past first faze of boss fights . Spam Those Throwables . Saves a lot of headache with this boss fights.
Puppet string is the best legion arm in the game especially if u get the last upgrade it’s pulls u to enemy then u do a jumping slam it usually does more than 1000 damage on just one hit
Puppet string is one of the best legion arms. Flamberge requires a specific set up, fulminis is good for post fatal attack charges. Deus and Pand are playstyle specific and require effort to make work well. Aegis and Puppet String are incredible for defensive and offensive purposes with little set up and can work for most play styles with little effort.
I liked the fire arm for doing chip damage while I regened stamina. Puppet string is not very good til max upgrade, then it's very fun, but you can knocked out of the animation. Aegis is the most op arm if you upgrade it once. Let's you shield hug while doing damage. VERY boring. The other arms aren't worth mentioning.
@@swoluigi3828 Animation takes a long time, the projectile loves to miss. Sure, its fine for taking out trash mobs at range, but then you could just bomb them and have a better arm.

“I don’t think my mental health can take it if I die again” is the most relatable line for any souls game experience ever we all always say that line on about attempt 15 on a boss you keep getting a centimeter away from death. Hit so hard cause every boss was a breeze for me but Romeo even new game plus 3 Romeo is still the boss that I just can’t seem to get a good understanding for something about the moment he applies the fire makes me lose all motor function for a brief moment sorta like a dear in headlights. You would think because Simon Prime and his #1 fan lady Thor love n thunder were easy for me I’d be able to breeze thru Romeo but I just can’t seem to get a good grip when he starts fire bending always gets me I hate it.

It’s always so interesting to me to see other people struggle with KoP/Romeo. I just went into the fight with a big F Off weapon on a long pole and did so much damage that I barely saw Romeo’s move set in the second phase.
2:20 this bossfight reminds me so much of the fight with the toymaker from castlevania-lords of shadow 2. The hall, the big machination with long arms. Good times
btw your weapon gets stronger with technique, so if you put points in that you should hit harder. but you also need to upgrade your weapons as well, otherwise you're just going to tickle the bosses. and upgrading your weapons also increases the durability as well so i strongly encourage that you take some time to explore the world so that you get more materials and new weapons.
When P slapped the king of puppets hand I also had the same reaction. P, the King of puppets met you with a handshake. They put on a play for you; FOR YOU for you! Why you gotta reject his hospitality like that? Surely we coulda talked it out.
As someone who has beaten this game, the puppet string is without a doubt, the best legion arm in the game, the link attack is just so OP that it outweighs every other legion arm (my build was broken and I was doing like more than 3000 damage with this thing)

I'm currently working on ng+5 and I think the last few bosses in the game are my favorites because of how cool there fights are and how challenging they are, you definitely need to keep a cool head with this game good luck

You just have to upgrade it fully so you get that link attack where you jump in the air & Hit them on the way down. *That's the most broken OP move in the whole game pretty much!* it makes the game 100 times easier & destroys everything!! (You have to upgrade your weapon too though)
Facts. It can be dangerous with fast bosses, but very effective in staggering and cutting down the time on 1st phases. I had Puppet String and 1st phase Nameless Puppet down to a science by the time I managed to defeat that 2nd phase.
@sartavin what's crazy is I felt this was one of the easiest souls like I've played. I only died 4, maybe 5 times the entire game. I died once on the Arch Duke, & king of puppet fights, but after that, I didn't die again until Simon's second phase. But laxasia and nameless puppet I got first try (It's weird, but the block and parry system just made this game feel so easy) I didn't even use the spector either, So it just feels so strange watching him struggle with this game. (Although he does seem to skip shortcuts, critical items, & not use alot of things that would make the game way easier)

24:51 as a matter of fact yes puppet string. Fully maxed you get a relatively safe plunging attack on enemies after a gap closer, not to mention the yank on most small enemies.
Best Legion Arm for me was maxed out Puppet String, the grab and jump attack count as heavy stagger attacks which can white bar enemies and bosses really fast. Another good Legion Arm is maxed out Ageis (the shield) at max level the guard and counter blast count as heavy staggers as well. And yes Puppet Master was a pain before the patch, but it only took me 7 tries. Game is super fun, but once you realize what is going on in the story it might annoy you. still 10/10 for me.
puppet string fully upgraded is the best legion arm in the game, it’s tier 3 ability or the charge does so much damage and you’re able to do it 3 - 4 times depending on p organ allocation
Puppet ripper is phenomenal, the game gets so much easier thanks to the heavy attack as well as the fact it can hit through SOLID WALLS (hint hint, lots of things this helps with)

the biggest tip is to abuse dodge to the right and try to get behind enemies, if you get good at timing your strafes around the target, their combos can't handle it.

I finished the game the 9/26 and at that point the game was out for 7 days the archivement for finishing the game the best ending Rise of P was a diamond one in xbox and had a .56% now a week and a half after it stands at 2.21% thats the amount of people that finish this Game. Is insane. So keep trying my friend this game is really really hard
I’ve found that fully charged heavies are usually the best at stance breaking. That goes for souls games and this game. The King of puppets is my next boss so now I gotta watch something different

Lol. Puppet string fully upgraded makes the Elites easy. Especially if you use the right counter element. Puppets need electricity, tentacle monsters fire and humans weak to acid. Aegis arm upgraded is the most powerful arm. It makes almost invincible.
Also used the trident carried me the whole way through the game and the 2 dragon katana for the faster enemies. But the reach and power of the trident is just too good 💯
Im glad this is the follow up last time I watched your last lies of P vid I was stuck on the archbishop by this upload I beat the game. It really is easy compared to the likes of sekiro or DS3 I think the perfect phrase I heard to deceive this game is a flawed masterpiece. I’d also put this is game above demon souls but that’s just my opinion and the hint of the wizard of oz as dlc sounds really cool.
Doing new game+ you can now read the boss puppets are saying. It's clear and we can actually Hear what Romeo is saying. That fight in new game+ is more depressing knowing the full Story.
You gotta hold down the button a bit to parry easier. And you dont really have to focus on parrying, like he is wrongly doing, you can do a mix of both or even dodge only.
Half way through (I think) pretty much at the same bit you are at. This game gave me Tourette’s syndrome- never have a ever shouted “Get fucked!” As much as I have when I kill a boss. Both love and hate this game at the same time. It’s brilliant
@Floverse You'd probably have an easier time if you actually use the parts and amulets you pick up. Also not going into the boss fights lacking pulse cells, ect. helps... Aegis is definitely best for blocking while being able to light hit so if you have a parry issue it works awesome. Good vids man
If u abuse the krat police baton handle shit is insane fable art lets u basically 10x ur damage and one shot most enemies and usually stagger a boss after 2
I don’t blame him for breaking his controller on the king of puppets boss fight, that took me 50+ attempts and around 4-5 hours to beat and he’s mentally draining and he ain’t even the hardest of the hardest of bosses

I spent 4+h on Romeo and 2nd tried Walker of illisions lol. Had to beat him with 4 flasks because I couldn't respec before the update.

Flameberge legion arm is very nice once its upgraded. But I personally prefer the Pandemonium arm the most. But not every arm works for every boss.

@sartavin what's crazy is I felt this was one of the easiest souls like I've played. I only died 4, maybe 5 times the entire game. I died once on the Arch Duke, & king of puppet fights, but after that, I didn't die again until Simon's second phase. But laxasia and nameless puppet I got first try (It's weird, but the block and parry system just made this game feel so easy) I didn't even use the spector either, So it just feels so strange watching him struggle with this game. (Although he does seem to skip shortcuts, critical items, & not use alot of things that would make the game way easier)

That blue pot next to boss fight allows you to get a Spector that helps in the fight
You could have used your fable arts to finish him off easy after your stagger attack 10:28 just making it harder for yourself
24:51 as a matter of fact yes puppet string. Fully maxed you get a relatively safe plunging attack on enemies after a gap closer, not to mention the yank on most small enemies.

Best Legion Arm for me was maxed out Puppet String, the grab and jump attack count as heavy stagger attacks which can white bar enemies and bosses really fast. Another good Legion Arm is maxed out Ageis (the shield) at max level the guard and counter blast count as heavy staggers as well. And yes Puppet Master was a pain before the patch, but it only took me 7 tries. Game is super fun, but once you realize what is going on in the story it might annoy you. still 10/10 for me.
puppet string fully upgraded is the best legion arm in the game, it’s tier 3 ability or the charge does so much damage and you’re able to do it 3 - 4 times depending on p organ allocation

Puppet ripper is phenomenal, the game gets so much easier thanks to the heavy attack as well as the fact it can hit through SOLID WALLS (hint hint, lots of things this helps with)

the biggest tip is to abuse dodge to the right and try to get behind enemies, if you get good at timing your strafes around the target, their combos can't handle it.

I finished the game the 9/26 and at that point the game was out for 7 days the archivement for finishing the game the best ending Rise of P was a diamond one in xbox and had a .56% now a week and a half after it stands at 2.21% thats the amount of people that finish this Game. Is insane. So keep trying my friend this game is really really hard
I’ve found that fully charged heavies are usually the best at stance breaking. That goes for souls games and this game.

Lol. Puppet string fully upgraded makes the Elites easy. Especially if you use the right counter element. Puppets need electricity, tentacle monsters fire and humans weak to acid. Aegis arm upgraded is the most powerful arm. It makes almost invincible.
Also used the trident carried me the whole way through the game and the 2 dragon katana for the faster enemies. But the reach and power of the trident is just too good 💯
Im glad this is the follow up last time I watched your last lies of P vid I was stuck on the archbishop by this upload I beat the game. It really is easy compared to the likes of sekiro or DS3 I think the perfect phrase I heard to deceive this game is a flawed masterpiece. I’d also put this is game above demon souls but that’s just my opinion and the hint of the wizard of oz as dlc sounds really cool.
Doing new game+ you can now read the boss puppets are saying. It's clear and we can actually Hear what Romeo is saying. That fight in new game+ is more depressing knowing the full Story.
The ONLY thing they really needed to do it make the parry window bigger bc it’s very small seeing as how the game is VERY reliant on it
You gotta hold down the button a bit to parry easier. And you dont really have to focus on parrying, like he is wrongly doing, you can do a mix of both or even dodge only.

Half way through (I think) pretty much at the same bit you are at. This game gave me Tourette’s syndrome- never have a ever shouted “Get fucked!” As much as I have when I kill a boss. Both love and hate this game at the same time. It’s brilliant

You'd probably have an easier time if you actually use the parts and amulets you pick up. Also not going into the boss fights lacking pulse cells, ect. helps... Aegis is definitely best for blocking while being able to light hit so if you have a parry issue it works awesome. Good vids man
If u abuse the krat police baton handle shit is insane fable art lets u basically 10x ur damage and one shot most enemies and usually stagger a boss after 2
I don’t blame him for breaking his controller on the king of puppets boss fight, that took me 50+ attempts and around 4-5 hours to beat and he’s mentally draining and he ain’t even the hardest of the hardest of bosses
It's a little cheat but the zombie dudes and the puppets are not friendly to each other so you can make them fight each other
I beat the clown in 45 seconds lol. Only boss I had to fight more than 5 times was the damn swamp monster
