Id reccomend if you don’t want to be pudgy - and understandably so - to lean bulk for a good year or so. Climb your weight slowly and methodically so you can build muscle and not look and feel like shit doing it.

I’m training my back, not my forearms. My back is far stronger than my forearms for obvious reasons, so I’d be limiting my back output because my grip would give out before the target musculature. If you want to train your forearms, do them separately.
