I got smashed by this 2 months ago in the monthly, I can confirm its super sweet but explaining the combo takes almost as long as the games do, super sweet video as always
@@fpawluszmtg yeah 😂 it’s really intense, especially if you have removal and you’re trying to figure out if you can break it up half way through or not😂
@@IPlayMagic Were you able to figure it out on the fly?! If so then kudos to you, my friend! I had to read through the loop like 15 times before I finally understood how it worked. And I still made mistakes!
@@fpawluszmtg no I wasn’t, I got destroyed by it and when it got to the point of being super complicated I just asked my opponent if there was ever any way out of it and he said no and then explained why. The infinitely recurring loop of the karmic guides / shifter is pretty straightforward to understand once you’ve seen it once but all of the other parts and triggers/ responses are still a total blur in my mind 😂
@@IPlayMagic It is a lot... Took me a while to comprehend all the priority holding spots, but once you go through the loop a couple of times it makes sense. I had to actually go through it physically, though. Reading it wasn't enough for me to fully understand what was actually going on.
@@MrCrazycarlwinter Mask is not as close to gg against Oath decks for me to want to include it. I'd rather have Tsabo's, which is much better there while having value against Landstill and other control decks. I do think I'd run a Sphere of Law, which doubles as Burn and Gobs hate, and it's quite strong against both.
Shapeshifter is bugged specifically alongside Phyrexian Devourer, which makes it impossible to play FEB variants. But fortunately it doesn't affect this deck at all!
That was going to be the plan. My opponent simply figured out that they wouldn't win from there with me at 11 and their only card in hand being an Incinerate.
Right, but that's kind of what I'm looking for since I don't really care that much about my creatures dying. Also it only prevents damage to me, so the Bombardment kill wouldn't be affected.
Black definitely is because being able to Survival for a 1 mana sac outlet is very good, and Therapy is a great enabler for your "B Plan" of putting a Symbiotic Wurm into play. Whether Blue is is one of the many things that I want to test and explore about this deck.
I have other sac outlets... Which are better, and tutorable. Therapy seems like the worst "enabler" by a considerable amount. As I said multiple times during the video, I am not familiar enough with the deck to know whether you can do stuff like sideboard the 2nd Goblin Bombardment and other things like that, what I know is that I don't really want to go below 23 creatures in a Survival deck with no cantrips.
51:00 you instant concede in front of a main deck physician furnace... then u proceed to side and you don't side in uktabi and naturalize. Anyone can explain please? Am going to shoot my self otherwise. I have head hache since I saw this
premodern is so much fun! thanks for another video!
Yes it is!
I was never so excited to register a deck for MOS as this deck once I discovered that Volrath’s Shapeshifter worked in the combo.
It certainly was a really exciting piece of news!
Against landstill the uktabi is very good for answering the furnace.
100%, it was just a complete oversight

Never has a deck tech in the beginning been so necessary xD

Been playing this and Coco Ichi a bunch. Very fun. I think I prefer Coco Ichi but Pattern is a blast too!
I don't even know what Coco Ichi is, but it is even as half as fun as this one then I'm in!
58:00 you get specter and dark rit and withered and you don't side in stp... you keep cabal therapy vs a bottomless pit. Please I need helpv
If you're looking for a Rectorable Oath hoser, perhaps Ivory Mask?
Lanny suggested that, but it simply doesn't do enough unfortunately...
@@fpawluszmtggood against burn as well, though!

I've always heard Shapeshifter is bugged on Magic Online, does it not happen to effect this combo? was that info just wrong?
Shapeshifter is bugged specifically alongside Phyrexian Devourer, which makes it impossible to play FEB variants. But fortunately it doesn't affect this deck at all!
At the end of match 2 you would bring akroma right? You cant instant win from this spot.
That was going to be the plan. My opponent simply figured out that they wouldn't win from there with me at 11 and their only card in hand being an Incinerate.
Amazing deck, thanks for the show
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Sphere of law only reduces damage to YOU, it reduced all red damage goblin bombardment would be turned off.

Is Phage the Untouchable too cute as a SB card?
I don't think it really solves any problems the deck has, and this deck doesn't want to be casting Shapeshifter if it can avoid it.

🙏
Can pandemonium go in this deck?
Yes, and it normally does! It combos with saproling burst to have a pure enchantment based win.
Let’s go!
Fuck yeah!
Is black necessary? Is blue necessary?
Black is absolutely necessary.

Este mazo es una locura, papá!
omg dude YOU NEED THERAPY TO SACRIFICE CREATURES AND YOU KEEP SIDEBOARDING THEM OUT!

It's called "making a mistake", I tend to do that quite often :P
@@fpawluszmtg i don't play mtgo, is there a timer for the sb? That's why you rush for the sb plan each time
@@issmoul931 There's a 3 minute timer, which is often enough. I do cut all the time that I spend thinking, for the purpose of the video.
