I don't think I've been able to beat Fer yet. He's been one of the most consistent players in the MOS circuit, top 8ing challenges and winning showdowns left and right!

Mmm idk, I think I definitely needed more pressure, since my opponent was slowly getting out of their mana issues and I needed to put on pressure. If i could have plowed + Call I think that buys me enough time, but yeah, the fact my opp had the Nantuko was quite brutal :S
The card is definitely better than meets the eye! I personally wouldn't main deck it cause there are already so many great cards you want to make room for, but if you manage to find room for it it does sound good!

I imagined the match up could be challenging against elves as StP, Armageddon and sometimes even cataclism are not that good here. Despite this match though, how do you feel about this match up? Yeah, I think it's just quite a bad matchup, since our only catch-up mechanism against go-wide strategies is Cataclysm, and as we saw it's not particularly strong against them. It is spectacular against Goblins, and so is Oath, which are the reason why I think that matchup is much better. All in all if I wanted to be better against these decks I think it's fairly easy to rework the mana to splash red for Pyroclasms instead of Mages, or Fire/Ice. It's a "choose what you want to beat" kind of situation, as I said at the end.
To be fair, depending on the list I don't entirely dislike Library against Burn, since the impactful cards are so impactful once you find them. But without enough shuffle effects it definitely gets much worse (and I am bringing GAS in its place, so that's also a thing)
It really is! One of my favorite things that makes Premodern so enjoyable is that the best cards in the format are very skill intensive. Fer could have made infinite mistakes while handling Survival, but he played it right and was rewarded!

Zuran Orb in the main has been preforming well for me. It’s very versatile.
