Ey Fran!
No jugaría Exploration, igual.
Gracias amigo!
Sick gameplay, personally wish Mox wasn't in the format just because I only play in paper and can't afford to drop $2400 on them and my LGS doesn't allow proxies lol
If you want to play this deck without Mox you can definitely do, and it'll just be a tier 2 deck as opposed to being tier S, which is honestly still pretty well above average!
@@fpawluszmtg i run all kind of whacky variations on reanimator mostly, right now I've got a UB version with standstill. Does it work? Who knows! But it sure would be funny to T1 reanimate an Akroma and drop a standstill and then say go. I'll find out this Friday lol
My experience is that Replenish has the upper hand by a significant amount, but it largely depends on the Replenish player's list (if they have 23 lands/less Frantic Search/no respect in the sideboard) and the Ponza player's draw (if they draw Library, how many LD spells they find).
@@cliffv3 Could be relevant against every deck, vs only relevant in the mirror. It's technically correct to do so, though obviously the margins you gain are minimal. I had it happen exactly once in something like 50+ matches.
The format is starting to get boring. Oath ponza is extremely powerful and denies creature based strategy. Same with Parallax Replenish. Unfortunately, we wont see an Oath ban because it is a staple
... Did you see that brand new BG Survival Rock deck that took up 3 of the top 8 slots (100% conversion rate)? I only beat the player in the finals because he made a misplay in the very crucial turn. That deck looks like a menace, and proof that there's still innovation to be made.
@@fpawluszmtg Phil was already getting some good results with it before this monthly and SurviRock was already a thing even before that. I dont think it is a menace considering it has no game against Parallax Replenish
@@kzelmer I don’t think it’s a menace either, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s just another deck is establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with. Fleshreaver deals the damage to its controler, so it also triggers the mantle, "negating" its downside.
it's like a perverted form of double strike which cloak benefits from.
It deals damage twice, so you gain life twice but you lose life once.
@@strangemolars yeah, we figured it out afterwards. And I love this interaction so much that I already built a deck around it 😅
