I have rode and camped on about every trail and ancient road I could find in the mountains of my area and I did a lot of it on a Honda 185 with a 90T sprocket on the rear. A smaller bike gives u a lot more control and the low speed, high tork will climb a tree if it gets traction. Thanks for the footage, it brings back a lot of great memories..
Mad props to you guys for making your way through this one! Trails like this where people barely know about them and they are seldom ridden are my favorite, but they need to be ridden occasionally to stay open so I (among many others I'm sure) appreciate you guys toughing it out. You had a great riding buddy to be with, and I'm glad you both turned out alright. Your videos are great and very well made! Keep it up!
Thanks!! It was a gnarly experience, but I really like the challenge of it too. If enough people like us keep riding it, then it will remain a great, but remote trail system!
absolutely amazed at the terrain, the trails and your riding skills, I have never seen anything like that. Super jealous of you guys out west, I'm stuck in Buffalo .......maybe someday, until then. Go Bills...
Although I've never been in your exact position, this reminded me of other times that I've been out of luck, out of skill, out of energy, and out of daylight. You guys got yourself into some good ol fashioned trouble. Made for an interesting watch. Cheers
First of all, you two are freaking BADASSES! Also, your riding partner is a rock star. What a great attitude under crazy dangerous circumstances! Can't wait till Episode 3.
If you’ve been outback in the PNW. You know just how brutal that high country can be ! Hell of a story to look at and laugh at one day boys 💪🏻 what’s up from Baker Washington!
I stumbled upon your channel and wow! Sketchy is an understatement. Still watching episode 2 and its epic! Great video and wicked scenery!!! Too bad you could not enjoy the landscape. Wicked content! 👍👍
Thanks for the video. Man - This trail and trails like it need a work crew of volunteers - before they disappear. Literally a crew walking in, with brushers, chainsaws, rock bars and some tread tools. It's important for the crew to be on foot so they can brush the entire trail. When you ride in with tools you tend to only stop at the worst areas.
Yeah it was all entirely downhill from there. I was totally gassed, but we had to keep moving. I'm gonna start packing those energy gels that endurance athletes eat in case this stuff happens again.
This seems like an adventure from my seat here at the computer. In real-life your situation at the end of this episode is very serious. You have put yourselves in what could easily be a life-threatening situation. I appreciate you and your friend's calm demeanor during all of this. That is helping you manage tremendously. But man! There were some poor decisions made to get you where you are at. Can't wait to see how you get out of this mess. Thanks for sharing this. Hopefully it will help others avoid such a situation.
Yeah it was very real. Though give us a bit of credit- I studied the trail on a map and had my GPS. We ultimately reached a fork in the trail off camera between E-2 and E3 where it was unmarked. I pulled out my gps and it placed us on the "popular route" out of the mountain instead of the quickest. That caused us to take the right path instead of the left. That essentially sent us down the start of a new trail at 9:30 at night. In everything I studied, there was never a mention of this fork in the trail. Also, we never expected it to be anything other than a single trail that went from point to point.
You’ll remember that trip for the rest of your life. Some of my best memories will be getting stranded in the middle of the national forest with my boys and making it out.
Great viewing! We've all had those rides where you're so fatigued you feel like you'll never get out. Never been stuck out all night myself thank goodness. Looking forward to part 3 for sure 🤙
It feels like you have to will your body to keep pushing forward! Its so rough. I'm glad you never had to do it. Its not fun lol. Part 3 is coming soon!
What a video and what a trail, just at the first few minutes of this Episode but good lord! LOL so glad you guys made it out of there though! It’s been said already but you guys made a good pair to get through that adventure!
Man what an awesome series. I have a 22 fe501 also, and I went ahead bought a second wheel set, one has dual sport knobbies and the other has an irc ve33s and a gummy front as well. The tires make such a big difference when taking a big bike like these through tight singletrack. Definitely helps tone down the struggle lol
Definitely sections of it had me thinking the same thing lol. By the time night was falling, my body was just about ready to give out. It felt like I had to force myself to just keep going. I don't think I could have asked for a better riding partner in that moment. His attitude was amazing the whole time.
Dang, mate. I love me some offroading, but that's definitely the kind of trail where I'd leave the bike at the trailhead for some good oldfashioned bike&hike. Awesome to watch, but... Nope, definitely not in a "wanna do that, too" kind of way. You both have my utmost respect. Lovely videography, too - can't have been easy to document such a crazy adventure so diligently... Definitely following and checking out your previous vids when next I have some downtime at work!
So stoked you like the channel! It was definitely a tough thing to document, and I wish I spent more time trying lol. I hope you like the rest of my videos!
Holy cliffside diving Madjack. There was some scary moments on this trail for sure. The exposure was relentless. Oofta! No adventure is complete without the accidental horn push haha. You two have some balls! Looking forward to the next episode.
Idaho Viewers: Please keep trail names / coordinates out of the comments and if anyone wants information email me privately 🤙 NOTE: This is where things begin to go wrong in this trek through the mountains. It's not my best riding, and I think it really shows the effects of severe fatigue on your riding. There have only been a few moments in my life where I have felt as physically tired as I did by the end of this video and I think its a really good learning point for both me and the people viewing this video. Pack for the ride and for repairs, but also pack things like electrolytes or food items to give some quick energy. That has definitely been one of my takeaways from this experience.
I do a fair amount a big rides in ID and raced MTB, I learned early on...always throw a handful of energy gels in bottom of pack, they'll keep ya moving and keep your brain functioning...nothing worse than tired, discouraged and low on blood sugar. Looking forward to next video!!
@@motominded5275 Since it was obvious that you guys were going to spend the night, I would have been scouting a place to camp close to the river. Who knows, maybe you could have caught a fish to eat. It is easy for me sitting in my nice chair with the A/C running to say what I would have done, LOL, but I have went camping before, and had to find a place to camp just before dark. Nice video, and as a person that has ridden some nasty deer trails, I feel your pain. The thing with my deer trails though is that they were not MILES long with dozens of trees to get around. I want to see part 3 BAD!!!
Thats GENUIS. I desperately needed that stuff. Something, ANYTHING to bring a bit more energy back. By the end of the trail it was like I was just fighting my body from collapsing.
Part 3 is on the way! Yeah we could have picked some really nice spots by the river and made a go at some trout. I think we had just kept holding onto hope that we would make it out..
Was gonna say pack a ton of food when you ride. You never know. I always pack at least 2000 calories with me because I’m always alone. Protein bars beef jerky, clif bars. Stuff like that.
Wow! Incredible. You guys are way more adventurous than I. That’s one gnarly trail!! When you have to start cutting logs and dragging bikes over rocks and from the edge of the abyss it sucks all the fun out of it for me. Beautiful country though. You guys rock but your crazy! 😜
Yeah it was a super sketchy region, but such a great experience!! The irony is that you're right in how beautiful of an area it is, and yet we couldn't enjoy it as much as we wanted to since we were always trying to keep pushing forward lol. Still such a cool ride 🤟🏼
Another great video! A lot of guys my age (56) give your generation a hard time for being pussies - but you two give this old soldier hope for the future! Riding that trail took balls and a real sense of adventure, good job! 👍
Yeah it was nerve racking, but you just gotta mentally walk yourself trough it. It kinda helped to just begin accepting our fate before it was totally dark. It was clear we were in for a cold night..
Oh dude he is the MAN. Throughout all of it he kept morale up and kept being a problem solver. I'm hoping to feature him on more rides on the channel soon.
@@madjack_757 you should, a couple times you could tell that you were almost done with it lol and there he comes with his good attitude! lol he was on it!
I can’t believe you don’t use onX and off line maps with all the back country you do. You would have never been in this situation because you would have known exactly where you were. But hey, it’s all part of the fun and experience that you will never forget when you look back on it. I’ve had my mishaps in the mountains in MT but before all the apps But it did make me buy a gps right away. Keep up the good videos!
Yeah I use Garmin to navigate in the backcountry, but the issue in this scenario is the fateful flaw that happened right after the end of this video. We reached an unmarked split in the trail and my gps put us on the “popular” route instead of the quickest one. The route it put us on sent us back into the mountains instead of out of the trail. By the time we realized the mistake, it was too late.. I’m stoked you’re liking the channel man 🤟🏼🤟🏼
I have been riding in the Sawtooths for about 2 years with my family, every bike from my little brothers Honda 50, to our friends Husky 300 2 stroke. We have almost gotten stuck overnight on the trail countless times. Idaho single track is so unforgiving and barely gets ridden and maintained all the way through. The terrain is rocky with thick brush and plants over the trail so you can't see the rocks poking out in some spots. Speaking of that I had to push my little sisters 110 out of a trail that we were miles into already because of rocks like that, she had a cracked case and was leaking oil. Othertimes the trail is full of downed trees that you can't get around so you need to bushwack a new trail. Othertimes your on a 7 inch wide trail with a cliff off to your side. So for anyone thinking that this is easier than it looks, its not, especially when your tired and feel like your just trying to survive. Also, Madjack, is this a 501 or a 701 that your riding, becasue it sounds like a big CC four stroke husky. Either bike would be impressive to ride on that kind of terrain.
Thanks so much for making this comment. People who ride in Idaho understand that our wilderness is the real deal and isn't something to scoff at. I think people who ride out here consistently have stories like you and I do. I'm glad you and your family have made it out safe during your rides I'm riding a 2022 FE501S and yeah she is a beast to manhandle on these trails. Huge power, heavy bike, and takes really methodical clutch and throttle work in these tight trails. Though, a lot of times it comes across as "sloppy" when I am trying to man handle the bike.
@@madjack_757 Yeah, I ride a 2021 Honda 250F, which is one of the most underpowered and heavy 250s ever made, in my opinion. It weighs 265 wet, and Google says your bike weighs 253 wet, while being twice my engine displacement, which is crazy. Sometimes I will ride my dads Honda 300L and that thing weighs roughly 330 pounds with all the rally upgrades we have done to it. It is also very underpowered and heavy and wide, like a mini KLR. I started riding under 2 years ago and the 250 is my first bike and its a blessing and curse. It's a blessing becasue its usually the hardest bike to get through the hard enduro out of any group I ride in and it forces me to be a very technical rider and use the clutch to my advantage. But its a curse becasue I have gotten so good on it that I am always wanting to ride someone else's more powerful bike. So I'm hoping to get a Shirco, Beta, or a Husky as my hard enduro bike soon.
Been on a few adventures like that, glad it turned out ok. I always carry things to eat but, the good old Payday candy bars are my favorite, they are great for a boost. Great video.
Yeah a candy bar would have been so nice. Its so valuable in moments like that to have quick energy when you need it.. I'm stoked you liked the video 🤟🏼
Gnarly! I don't think you could have had a better partner to ride with, he stayed positive even in hairy situations, that's a good man to ride with any day!
Thanks! I'm working on getting that last episode out soon. Thats why I got my 501! I wanted a bike to split the difference between ADV riding ability and having half a chance to be able to ride gnarly stuff like this too.
A good friend of mine and I rode that trail literally the week after you did. Thank you so much for all the cutting you did. I’m sorry you took a wrong turn at the fork. Thankfully we had On X and we went left where you went right. Anyways I’m glad you made it out safely. Hit me up if you wanna go ride again:) P.S. since the log bike lift challenge day I generally always pack a saw now.
Of course! I hope it helped some bit. Yeah my garmin sent us on the "popular" route instead of the quickest way.. Really a rough turn of events to have it send us back into the mountains at dark.. I'm glad we made it out safe too. It was a really valuable experience to learn from for me. That day where we rucked our bikes over the logs was BRUTAL hahahaha. I'm right there with you . Gotta gotta have that saw now. I'm currently working on some video projects out east with some clients, but when I get back I'll let you know if I am headed back out! I'm hoping the smoke clears soon too.. I heard its a mess out there with the fires right now.
I got a Rekluse clutch and found that to be vastly helpful. If you don't have one, I believe it would have been instrumental in helping you from stalling, and extending battery life.
I’m actually really considering one too. I am installing the rekluse slave cylinder soon and probably a full kit if I can afford it on my next clutch rebuild.
I've never ridden anything nearly this gnarly, but I definitely know that feeling of wondering if I was past the point of no return, being totally gassed and just hoping that the way forward will be easier than backtracking over the tough terrain. Great video, new subscriber and looking forward to the next episode!
Thats exactly where our head was at. We just kept thinking the end of the trail would be around the next bend.. I'm stoked you liked the video! I'm hoping to get the final part out soon!
Man how do you think I felt!! Hahahaha that was such a sketchy moment. Its like the dirt just crumbled beneath the front wheel. Coulda gone a whole lot worse!!
Man i was literally talking out loud watch the rock! As you slapped it and took a spill! You definitely lucked out. I'd invest in a ratchet towing system incase that happens when you're alone so you won't get stuck and always bring camping gear and Garmin! You never know! Still if im ever out that way I'd love to ride my billy goat tw through these trails! Did you guys underestimate the length of trail? Take a wrong turn? Now I'm going to watch part 3 maybe that will answer my questions 😅
Definitely take a look at part three! All your questions will be answered 🤟🏻 I agree with you though. A towing rope would have been HUGE out there and I wish I brought one. I think there were a lot of times where he and I simply just got lucky. At a minimum I think I should have had my bivy too. I can survive without the tent but my bivy makes such a difference.
I had no spare fuel but I have a pretty great oversized tank that lets me go over 100 miles easily. For carter we had a couple liters of extra premix in his pack 🤟🏻
Lmfao I had to head right to work on a project on the east coast right after this pretty much lol. I am giving it alot of love when I get home in a couple days!!
Super awesome video miss doing shit like that when I was a young buck. We only had 2 strokes back then if you was lucky enough to have a 4 stroke it wasn't no electric start lol. But yeah I just new in video one your battery was going to crap out you shut it down way to much. I learned the hard way when I got my first electric start. Lol keep up the good work nice videos and talking letting people know how hard beautiful and dangerous it can be out there.best to have someone with you and yes definitely a big caliber gun.
I'm stoked you liked the videos! What bike did you ride when you were younger? I used to build old YZs. I had a 1974 yz125 and 1979 YZ250. Yeah.. my battery ultimately went out because I was running my baja designs headlight, charging my camera gear, and powering my gps all while going SLOW on the bike. I should have thought of it being an issue.. It really can be some unforgiving country out there.. I am so glad I had my friend there with me. Yeah soon I want to upgrade to a 10mm or 357 magnum!! Any suggestions?
I posted my comment only half way into the vid without even seeing the really insane stuff u ppl pulled off. I will admit that this is one of the most amazing vids I have ever seen on youtube. Both ur attitudes were amazing in the face of adversity and u teamed brilliantly. U took massive risks and u know that but glad u both came out of it (ps: pls don't push ur luck for views..never worth it).
Thanks! The views are a benefit to the adventures I would have wanted to have even if the channel didn't exist. Though, this experience really made me take a step back from single track for a while. I didn't touch my bike for two weeks after it happened. It was just too nerve wracking.. I really do think we made a great team and I really really valued carter's ability to keep morale up. I started to lose steam, but he never lost his temper.
@@madjack_757 - yip I picked that up too, Carter seems like the kinda person who can take a massive amount of pressure and just brush it off with positivity and humour (real tough guy...but hey his riding outfit says it all - legend). I have a 701 and also enjoy single track. I did something dumb last year just as winter seemed to vanish: rented a van in March and aimed at a tough trail in the mountains that I really love. Days were still short and up there the ice was still very present cos u know how nothing dries up in the shade. No mobile reception. Even came across my first wolf (20m from me). Got to a point where I could not turn back and by the grace of G found traction with my big girl just barely in time to make it out of there (risked freezing to death should anything have gone seriously wrong). I am 51 this year so one would expect wisdom! We need to find that balance between fun and death. I have a pic of that day and you have a great vid to show ur grandchildren. U were brave and immensely skilled. Thanks for sharing your journey bud.
@@nandossauce Wow!! That must've been cool, but a bit sketchy to see the wolf.. I would have gotten a bit nervous to see one. I agree, we gotta find that balance. I am really glad you and your 701 made it out! What mountains were you riding in? Yeah I was blown away by how carter could take any situation and make a joke out of it. It was amazing hahahahahaha.
@@madjack_757 - I am in the North of Italy (Mount Penice specifically which is not that high compared to the Alps that are snowy till July) and the last thing I was expecting to see was a wolf so trust me I was sh*tting myself (here we are not even allowed to carry) and for me there was not an option to turn back since the single track was tight and iced. It came walking towards me and I thought I was dealing with a sheep dog and then as I clicked that it was not a sheep dog but that I was the sheep fortunatelly it just changed direction and jumped into a bush and disappeared. Passing near that bush was a mind f*ck of note...believe me. I later bumped into a woodcutter and asked him if I was dreaming and he told me "no actually there are quite a few here!!". I got home and did some google checks and it appears there are indeed many...I learnt something that day ;-) .

Although I've never been in your exact position, this reminded me of other times that I've been out of luck, out of skill, out of energy, and out of daylight. You guys got yourself into some good ol fashioned trouble. Made for an interesting watch. Cheers
Just started watching your content and it’s awesome
Thanks so much!!
Your channel has become our new favorite. Absolutely amazing what y’all did. Can’t wait to see the rest of the series.
Thanks so much!!! I'm glad you guys like it. I feel pretty grateful that we made it out!!
Holy Crud - you guys may be a little crazy !!!! Looking forward to Episode 3
Great tracks.
Keep riding safe. Enjoyed the video
Got to give these two credit, the effort to concentrate and stay upright alone was a workout. Well done, exceptional country too
Thanks so much!! It was a really gnarly experience. Lots to learn from with this one, but it was a beautiful place to get lost in 🤟🏻
First of all, you two are freaking BADASSES! Also, your riding partner is a rock star. What a great attitude under crazy dangerous circumstances! Can't wait till Episode 3.
Thanks! Hes had such a great attitude when it came to dealing with challenges. Super stoked to have him as a friend!!
Upgrades for the 501. Rekluse and a 525 cheater for the rear. Gnarly run dudes! Kudos!
Thanks for the advice! Next paycheck is going into building out the husky!!
If you’ve been outback in the PNW. You know just how brutal that high country can be ! Hell of a story to look at and laugh at one day boys 💪🏻 what’s up from Baker Washington!
🤟🏼🤟🏼
Muy bueno el vídeo, como siempre. Gracias
I stumbled upon your channel and wow! Sketchy is an understatement. Still watching episode 2 and its epic! Great video and wicked scenery!!! Too bad you could not enjoy the landscape. Wicked content! 👍👍
Thanks so much! I'm glad you like the channel!! Maybe I will have to go back and see the area again sometime.
Stoked you liked it! Yeah, a crew really needs to check out this area. It would probably be like a 3 day project, but much needed.
gnarly When you said "I'm dog tired" I was like this is not going to end well. You HAVE to stop and recuperate or shit happens.
Yeah it was all entirely downhill from there. I was totally gassed, but we had to keep moving. I'm gonna start packing those energy gels that endurance athletes eat in case this stuff happens again.
Ok, going to part 3. I have changed 3 t shirts, still have three more, hope them will be enough for part 3...😮
Amazing series!
😂🤟🏼
Part 3 is one of my favorites outta the whole mini series!
your blessed with a good friend Carter ha gas a good attitude and great skills as well as you Jack
Thank you so much!! I feel very lucky :)
No doubt.. So many lessons learned and its a hell of a story to tell. I'm sure your sons will remember those stories too!
Its a gnarly one!! I'm really glad we made it out too..
That looks more like a game trail than a single track. I feel your exhaustion. That riding partner of yours was amazing.
It was a gnarly one... I'm stoked to get the 3rd episode out soon!
Wow, that looked absolutely exhausting!
Camera man never dies.
The deer trails.😂 A fun day out turned into a Red Bull competition, love it😅
😂🤟🏼
That big bike on those trails have to give you your props bro great video 😎💩👍
Man it beat me up so much hahahahaha! I'm stoked you liked the video!
absolutely amazing.
🤟🏻🤟🏻
Idaho Viewers: Please keep trail names / coordinates out of the comments and if anyone wants information email me privately 🤙
NOTE: This is where things begin to go wrong in this trek through the mountains.
Nothing like some balls deep trail blazing!
I just fell off a cliff 2 weeks ago this was hard to watch .Great riding guys.
I won't be following you through any single track, That's for sure!
Awesome video, I can't wait for part 3.
Hahahahaha! Episode 3 is comin soon!
I watched the video in awe! That trail looks depressing to me because I would turn back in the first few minutes!
Hahahahahaha! I am glad you liked the video!
Looks like you guys had an adventure! Hell Yeah!
It was a legendary trail!
That was Gnarly man glad you both made it out ok, what a adventure!!!🤘🤘
I'm stoked he and I made it out too!! Such a cool experience 🤟🏼
Man, what a ride and what a test! Thankfully we know you make it out or we wouldn't be seeing this! Haha! Can't wait for part 3!
Such a killer region to explore. I am super glad we made it out but we got lucky. Part 3 is on the way 🤟🏼
You were a great team. Dude was always stoked.
He always had an awesome attitude! He's the kinda guy you want when you're deep in the sh**
Those rock gardens are always unpredictable. You live to ride another day. Praise God!
They're little death traps! I feel fortunate we made it out.
Another great video! A lot of guys my age (56) give your generation a hard time for being pussies - but you two give this old soldier hope for the future! Riding that trail took balls and a real sense of adventure, good job! 👍
Thanks so much!! HA! I am glad I could give you some hope. I am 23 now and got a whole bunch more adventures ahead of me!
man you guys are strong i would have panic when i seen the sun on the hills going down that fast.
Yeah it was nerve racking, but you just gotta mentally walk yourself trough it. It kinda helped to just begin accepting our fate before it was totally dark. It was clear we were in for a cold night..
Awesome trail! I'll bet a trials bike would be the weapon of choice!
No doubt a trials bike would be right at home out there!!
you have an awesome friend who let's you set up camera to take shots while fixing falls! Nice vid, beautiful country!
He’s a great dude!! It’s an incredible region too🤟🏼
Damn man, you got a heck of a video series goin on here, and your buddy is something else, that guy has one seriously great positive attitude
I’m stoked you’re liking the channel man 🤟🏼🤟🏼
That is F:;? Ing crazy. I’ve been riding for over 50 years. You guys are fun to watch. Also. Them clutches?!!!
Yeah it was nuts hahaha and my clutch is still goin strong, but I am sure I ought to replace it just to be sure..
I'm glad you and your family have made it out safe during your rides
I'm riding a 2022 FE501S and yeah she is a beast to manhandle on these trails.
@j_mart_rising you ought to try this with my CRF250L that with accessories weighs just shy of 365 lbs.
@@pbear216 Oh no way that would have been borderline impossible!! Thats so heavy
@@pbear216 365? What in the world did you put on that thing?!
I totally agree. He kept up morale so well even in the face of some really sketchy moments..
This video series is gonna make your channel!!
I hope so!
Epic stuff fellas
🤟🏼🤟🏼
Killer video!
Man you guys are crazy imo to keep going. That ride is Not what ide call fun. Wow the scenery though is stunning
riding buddies are sometimes the best buddies..
definitely true
Epic ride! Keep them comming! I wish I had a second, lighter bike so I could do some enduro-adv stuff like that.
Your videos are next level now, it's really becoming something
Keep it up! ⚡
Thanks so much!!
Awesome video
I got a Rekluse clutch and found that to be vastly helpful. If you don't have one, I believe it would have been instrumental in helping you from stalling, and extending battery life.
I’m actually really considering one too. I am installing the rekluse slave cylinder soon and probably a full kit if I can afford it on my next clutch rebuild.
awesome video man keep up the good work
Thanks so much 🤟🏼
I've never ridden anything nearly this gnarly, but I definitely know that feeling of wondering if I was past the point of no return, being totally gassed and just hoping that the way forward will be easier than backtracking over the tough terrain. Great video, new subscriber and looking forward to the next episode!
Thats exactly where our head was at. We just kept thinking the end of the trail would be around the next bend.. I'm stoked you liked the video! I'm hoping to get the final part out soon!
Pretty epic content dude.
Thanks!!
Your friend has no business being that cute tho… really enjoyed the vid you guys are crazy
lmfao hahahaha I'll let him know. I'm stoked you liked the video 🤟🏼
@@madjack_757definitely (: subbed for more madness to come haha
Thanks! More is on the way soon 🤙🏼
Holy crap man. Don’t think I’d enjoy doing that trail AT ALL with the Tenere!
Oh dude the t7 would be right at home out there hahahahaha
Hello from Siberia. Dude your videos are cool 💪🏻🤨👍🏻
Wow all the way from siberia!? Thats so cool! How is the riding out there?
Great videos! Please do another bdr soon!
Im in the planning process for one now!
Sick video I want to try this as well
those dark trees on sides looked like many Dark Vador waiting for your fall....
Nice Adventure
Thanks!!
When you dropped the bike and it was on the edge. My anxiety kicked in.
Man how do you think I felt!! Hahahaha that was such a sketchy moment. Its like the dirt just crumbled beneath the front wheel. Coulda gone a whole lot worse!!
I'll be Carter's wingman on any ride!
He's a great dude!! 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Need to know the name of the trail. So I don’t ever book a trip to ride it
Brilliant filming. Glad you made it out.
Hahahahaha! Thanks so much! I am glad we made it out too.
That trail would be fun as hell on a mountain bike
Man i was literally talking out loud watch the rock! As you slapped it and took a spill! You definitely lucked out. I'd invest in a ratchet towing system incase that happens when you're alone so you won't get stuck and always bring camping gear and Garmin! You never know! Still if im ever out that way I'd love to ride my billy goat tw through these trails! Did you guys underestimate the length of trail? Take a wrong turn? Now I'm going to watch part 3 maybe that will answer my questions 😅
Definitely take a look at part three! All your questions will be answered 🤟🏻
I agree with you though. A towing rope would have been HUGE out there and I wish I brought one. I think there were a lot of times where he and I simply just got lucky. At a minimum I think I should have had my bivy too. I can survive without the tent but my bivy makes such a difference.
Good thing first gear works😆sometimes better to take up hiking.
Honestly seems like a pretty light trail, my dad used to traverse one like this every day to school 😂
Lmfao hahahahaha
How much backup fuel did you guys have I don’t see any Jerry cans on your bikes
I had no spare fuel but I have a pretty great oversized tank that lets me go over 100 miles easily. For carter we had a couple liters of extra premix in his pack 🤟🏻
Hope you gave your bike some much needed TLC after this trip! I'll add this trail to my NOPE list, lol.
It would drive me nuts having to put that saw together every time I needed to cut something. So glad mines mounted and ready to roll.
Yeah it was frustrating.. We had a good deal goin tho- I packed it, he cut the logs 🤟🏼🤟🏼
We want part 3!
I’m like 99 percent done with it! Just needs some narrations 🤟🏼
Not human. Hats off from me.
HELL YEAH !!!
Damn Crazy guys😅
Reminds me of the last two rides I’ve done with my friends. We have terrible ideas and we hate ourselves.
hahahahahahaha
Hopefully you guys had a sat phone or some sort of emergency equipment. Going into the backwoods is fun and can be amazing, but when you're not prepared for the worst, it can lead to tragedies. Glad you guys are okay, but hopefully learn from this.
Yup I had a sat phone! I was in communication with the outside world the whole time. I use a garmin in reach.
20:14 What the heck is that nice bridge doing on a trail like this, ha! Seems out of place with the "down" keep of this trail. LOL
Remnants of the forest services work to initially build the trail long ago! I suppose its the one part that nature hasn't found a way to erode yet.
Hard enduro on a dual sport!
