- What if Fire Red and Leaf Green had an Arbitrary Code Execution glitch that was even easier to use than Emerald? Well... wonder no longer! I'm gonna use it to speedrun the God of all Squirtle.

Welcome back, and another amazing video! 🥳🎉
Fantastic content man. In the past I had done some limited RNG manips in Emerald with the initial seed but I always wanted to find unique competitive and shiny Pokémon. After watching your videos a few times I was able to create a decamark and use arbitrary code execution and RNG manipulation to obtain a perfect shiny Latios and a nearly perfect shiny Bedlum after only a couple hours of work. Will be targeting many more pokemon soon. It may seem complicated at first but this is absolutely achievable for anyone!

The Crobat ACE has more codes right now, so it's the more powerful of the two. But Sleipnir has been adding more codes by request.

If personal bias was set aside in terms of what the community as a whole deem ''legal'' or ''Poke-ethics,'' this could potentially shake up SR strats if further explored for optimized runs. Potential is there.

Thinking out loud here, if you take the ACE code to change TID and SID, then use it to match a predetermined egg received and checked from the daycare, you could theoretically have a relatively simple setup to hatch any shiny in the FRLG games without requiring the use of emulators to reproduce 🤔 Might try that out and see and report back as the current method is so complicated to execute 😅
Yeah this would work. You'd just have to know the PID of the Egg.

For anyone who trys this on a german copy, instead of "wandering" the right word is "LATSCH".
Italian should be "CRUDELE"
Spanish should be "RIDíCULO"
French should be "NOMADE"
I’ve used these codes to get all starters just fine. However using the codes to get Birth Island and Navel Rock tickets have given me interesting results. You’re supposed to talk to the old man below the PC in Viridian city to give you the tickets right after you execute. However my guy turned into a slot machine for birth island code, and became mute for Naval Rock code. Is there data I need to clear somewhere before trying new codes? Also the make starters reappear code worked but gave me a bad egg.
is it possible you did the wrong version of the codes? Fire Red 1.0 and 1.1 have different codes in some cases. Could also just be a typo? Very interesting behavior either way. Are you on cartridge? can you extract your save? I could take a look.
I’m on a leaf green cartridge. I’ll have to look into extracting my cartridge. I’m pretty sure I’ll need to buy tools for it. I found Merp’s warp instead which works for getting there without the tickets. I tried multiple times so I’m fairly sure it’s not a typo. I was thinking it could be wrong version too but the starter codes worked fine

When I duplicate EV/IVs, everything goes well, but when I put my seventh letter and place Mr. Mime in Box 3, it gives me a bad egg. I'm using a French cartridge; is the technique different?

i have just done the set up and my Mr.Mine it was a different name(EEDLE ARM) to yours in the video. my last save is before the double battle so i can reset, when you end the double battle does the Mr.Mine not get more EV's from the Ninetails and Rapidash? just want to be sure i have the 0351 (?) before i save again and enter box codes
He does gain EVs from the Ninetales\Rapidash but merrp said Speed\SpD EVs shouldn't matter as long as they aren't too high, in the video description.
"Note that I gave Mimien 81 HP and 3 Attack EVs before recording; it needs to have these specific EVs (or any other combination that matches one of these: pastebin.com/pDXf5rGD ). Other EVs don't matter as long as it has less than 32 Speed EVs."
However, if you're not getting the same name on the corrupted Mr. Mime that would indicate the EVs are probably not 81 HP/ 3 ATK and its a different glitch species.
Which slot should it be written in i saw on your discord you mentioned it should be on slot 2 but the video pretty sure you say 7th slot

The 7th Mail Slot is the glitched mail slot that shows ??? ??? ???. As there are normally only 6.
Just redone it a couple of time to 100% make sure i was putting wandering in the 2nd word slot. And both times still getting the decemark called EEDLE ARM. I dont think i messed up the EVs though i did exactly as you did in the video. 1x caterpie and 3x duduos and bought 8x HP UP’s from the dept store. But im guessing ive messed them up somehow though if im getting EEDLE ARM

I can’t download seed assistant because I’m using a mac, so I’m trying to see which seeds I’m hitting by comparing them to the google doc chart. However the seed I’m trying to hit has a different time on the doc compared to the 10 lines
I've seen people successfully use WineHQ to run Windows Apps on Mac. Really quite difficult to do anything in FRLG w/o Seed Assistant.
Unfortunately, compiling homebrew apps for Mac is a really big pain in the ass.

Never say never. It's a story I still want to tell, I just don't feel confident in my ability to tell it yet.
I'd like to make it an AbsolBlogs style movie, but at the same time teach people about Colo's RNG... but thats proven difficult given the length of the VODs.
Colo also got new RNG tools in the last year, so there's that to consider as well.

Duping, yes. You can use the mail glitch for some cool stuff in RS. You can also corrupt map tiles to reach inaccessible areas.
However an ACE level glitch in RS requires Emerald to handle all the setup
At 21:29 the site says to use "button=start," does this mean to press and hold start on the charizard screen after the intro cutscene, and if not what does that mean, because the seeds excel sheet says to use Start as well. Thanks in advance.

similar to using e shark code to teleport to a different seed and frame in emerald? how would u use the code for frlg? it askes to select a location as well but i just wanna jump to a certain seed and frame (hunting suicune)
We don't have that code for FRLG Grab ACE yet, Sleipnir would need to develop it.
It does exist for the Crobat glitch move ACE, but you must set that up with Emerald. eSharks FRLG codes are only for Crobat ACE right now.
This is still a relatively early implementation. its only been a few months.

You have to also pick a location with the Crobat ACE because it happens inside a battle, instead of just out in the world like Emerald. Just changing the RNG state in the middle of a battle would actually make it harder to hit your target.
FRLG also doesn't have broken seeding, so it's possible to just RNG whatever frame you might want without ACE codes. Just a matter of hunting for the right seed timing.

No, but there actually is a way to change MIMIEN into a Mr Mime again.
There's been talk of making an AR code for box that disables the glitch and Dex limit checks. But for the time being if you wanna use ACE on Emerald and Box you need to only use the Eggs. 40e9 won't go into Box.

@@RohanSivam Oh i just realized you were asking about Colosseum and Gen 4 Pal Park, not Pokemon Box. Idk why I thought you meant Pokemon Box.
You actually should be able to trade with Colosseum no problem, as long as the glitch guy is in the PC. Not sure about Pal Park though. You'd have to try it, and definitely don't look at his summary.
10:27 is Hideki a refrence, because I only know of the Black Belt Hideki in ORAS because of how notorious it is
That's just the name of the trainer, maybe it is the same guy since RSE/FRLG take place during the same time.

Before I executed "wandering" in the mail slot with Mr. Mine in box 3 slot 1, there was a bad egg in box 3 slot 1. After the "wandering" mail (i just moved the bad egg over a slot), I had the Mr. Mime you did. Am I okay to back up my save and delete the bad egg in PKHEX or will that mess up my save?
@@Niculous yeah you can delete the bad egg.
Very important to make sure Mr. Mime is already in Box 3 Slot 1 before you type any words into the mail. And then remove the mail from your Pokemon before moving him again to avoid bad eggs
I'm still having issues getting the codes to actually execute and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I made sure to follow everything step by step to my knowledge and was careful with inputting the codes but neither the TID/SID nor the starter one is working. I checked my TID and it was my original one, and I caught and checked a new pokemon and it still had the old TID.

Yep! Exact same setup I did here, but instead of changing SID and respawning starters, you'd enter the "unlock X island" codes

I'm slightly confused. At 21:42 you say that the first input is a press and hold of the A button, but the seed shown at 21:31 says it is a start press. Was this a mistake, or am I misunderstanding that?
Both buttons will give you different seeds. You can hold either A or START depending on what the Ten Lines tells you.

They do, but Rapidash and Ninetales give SpDef and Speed which don't disrupt the corruption.

Wait, why do you need an Everstone? Couldnt you just cancel Abra's evolution with the B button?
When I did a few test runs before making this actual attempt, not using the Everstone was insanely slow. Having to cancel the Evo screen from 16-30 is brutal.
I'm surprised it's slower than catching the extra Pokémon! That makes sense though, I don't remember how long the evolution cancel takes, to be fair.
@@BBSplat it's probably comparable to be honest. Especially with how poorly I routed both the Pokemon capturing, and the levelling process in general.
The real answer is just to raise Mr. Mime immediately like the Any% runners do.
But I opted to use the EV spread that was more universal since it, works on FR & LG in all non-japanese versions for the video.
