This is so awesome. The Atari 2600 is one of the systems I collect. My dad had one in the 70s it's the first game system I ever played back in the early 80s. I still have his console and all the games he had. Plus about 100 more now haha.
Wow, Mike. You have an awesome collection of retro games. I also have my original Atari, but I don't have anywhere near the number of carts you have. That is incredible.
@@JesterTester it's just one of those things where that was the first console I ever played so I started buying up games because I had a lot of nostalgia for the system. I had a couple big Atari scores at thrift stores and flea markets. I got a milk crate with an Atari, controllers, and a bunch of games that were completely covered in dirt and dust from sitting in someone's garage for decades, 25 bucks. I took everything home and cleaned it all up and it all worked great. So I kept all the games I didn't have and sold the remaining few games and the system for 100 bucks haha.
@Arcade Talk & Star Wars Reviews Oh, I did also. The funny part is that my Mom played it even more than I did. She still to this day is great on Pacman. Even the arcade version.
Ouch, Kayleigh, thanks for reminding me how much of an old man I am. 😂 Seriously, it's great you were able to experience the Atari. It definitely is the beginning star of home video game consoles. Thanks for watching as always.
@@outruntheneonsun lol, I am sorry I didn't mean to insult anyone. I absolutely love Asteroids, Pacman even though it is so different than the arcade. But my most favorite games on the Atari 2600 has to be Pitfall and Adventure. Still play them today. 🕹❤
My favorite one was the et one. I didn't grow up with the atari but I got one many years later in the 90's. This is how you do commercials! It's funny what nostalgia will do to you though. As commercials age along with yourself, you appreciate them as it takes you back to a different time. You can almost instantly recall where you were and what age. Not always but when it does, it's something special. Great vid brother! 👊🔥
Thanks for watching and supporting as always, buddy. I definitely remember the ET commercial. I also vividly remember getting the game for Christmas. Great memories......horrible game.😂👍
This is so awesome!! I just finished editing my next video about 80s commercials hahaha and I had no idea you were doing this! Awesome brother…thanks for posting these…I’m surprised at how good the quality is though!
Hey, thanks, Dan. That's funny. We had the same idea. We'll they do say "Great minds think alike." 😜😂 As far as the quality, it was a bit difficult to stabilize some of the old VCR footage, and some of it is still pretty bad. But, my editing software has video enhancement software, which did help a bit. Thanks for supporting as always brother.👊
@@outruntheneonsun No, they are sourced from the internet. Even though I do have hundreds of VHS tapes in storage, probably with gold on them from back in the day. I just couldn't get to them now. Mabe some day.👍
Brings back memories for sure!!

I have not heard that Atari 2600 pac-man sounds forever. Neat to hear it again.
It definitely was different sounding. I actually loved the version. I know it was love hate with many people.
@@JesterTester I loved playing it. I spent a lot of hours on it.

@@JesterTester That's cool she still likes Pac-Man. Great game that has held up after all these years.
Such a blast from the past. Awesome to see these.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember Atari commercials very well. Funny how some things stick in your head.
Great to see these. They are definitely way before my time, but I have played many of them with my dads Atari.❤

Wait…this hits a little close to home. You are loved Kayleigh so I’m just kidding but what games were your favorite or stood out to you?

@@JesterTester (the more I comment the better for you vid!) so wait, these are your copies of the commercials from your own VHS?

I remember many of them. Especially the I'm a Toys R Us kid. Like it was yesterday.
