I totally agree and feel for these athletes. We covet them during the Olympics but then they get ignored, little sponsorship and have to pay their own way. We treat these athletes horribly compared to footballers etc

How can athletes be expected to make ends meet with such a paltry sum? The IOC must ensure athletes receive more benefits, considering the Olympics rely entirely on their participation.
Athletes banding together to set up their own leagues so they get a fair split of commercial revenue would be monumental
