    I had a home full of Eastlake Victorian, and Oriental Victorian furniture. It was so easy to take care of...Everything was on wheels, a n d the spoon carving was not so intricate that I couldn't get into the crevices.I also had the furniture in the same lovely pink color...it was original in the livingroom
    Miss all of that...the house burned 4 years ago, on June 16th....It so nice to see a house like this again ❤️

    So nice to see that they didn't paint all that beautiful woodwork! I can only imagine how much work and research and time went into restoring this masterpiece of architecture!

    OMG amazing Victorian house! It is so beautiful and so glad to see that the architecture inside and outside is all original. These Victorian houses will never be built again let alone the craftsmanship and detail used to construct them. These Victorians must be preserved for future generations to see and enjoy. Sadly, most of the time these houses are torn down to make room for parking lots or ugly square commercial buildings. Yes, I know it's called "progress".
    I was fortunate enough to buy a small Victorian cottage in 2004 for $40,000. It was in shambles and costs more to restore it than what I paid for LOL 😄. It's ok, I got myself a little piece of history but I wonder once I die, will my house be torn down by future generations? Sigh, I was born in the wrong era.😔😔

    The red velvet chaise lounge in between the stained glass panels was my very favorite. Do you have ghosts?

      Maybe..... The previous owner swore up and down there were. As the Auctioneer, I had to spend several nights onsite at the house and got the Heebie-jeebies hearing things and having the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Still it was a beautiful house!

    You know at time stamp 3:55, I guess that's the nursery but what do you call the little nook with the baby buggy in it? I watched another video and they had that but they didn't know what it was. I knew it had significance. I didn't see any pocket doors - weren't there pocket doors?!

    • @Littlebullauction
      @Littlebullauction  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning and thanks for checking out this home we had the privilege of selling twice in Fort Scott Kansas. That little nook is the Turret and/or the second story of the tower section. This home finally made its way onto the Historical Society which gives it some level of protection to remain in all its glory. This home had several pocket doors, but they were all on the main floor separating the dining room and parlor and the entry way to the rest of the home. • @Littlebullauction
      @Littlebullauction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This home was built in the 1800's with wood, brick and stone. Quality craftmanship that has been loved and cared for throughout the years.

      @@Littlebullauction When it was loud, it was too loud, and when it was quiet, it was too quiet. It was annoying and distracting that the volume kept going up and down. If the volume had remained consistent at a level somewhere between the loudest parts and the softest parts, it would have been fine.
