Awesome bag limit catch and especially for sharing where you catch them from 👏. I visits my friend in Tampa pretty often and we tried multiple but never had any luck finding fishing spots for mangrove snapper. This is very helpful 👍.
I'm glad you found it useful. You'll find mangrove snappers at pretty every bridge around tampa bay with good tidal flow. The trick is getting them to bite. The right bait is the key! Good luck!
Do you mind saying what bridge that you were fishing, I understand if you don’t want to tell the location, also what did you use for bait and did you free line them or Carolina rig, knocker rig?
This was at tom stuart causeway. I used pilchard with knocker rig, 3/8 to 1/2 oz, depending on the tide.
Looks like fun, I subbed to see more. I've fished here a few times with decent luck but never with greenback. Did you have to chum them up at all?
Thanks for the support. It really helps out my new channel. I've used greenback and pinfish at that location in the past and they both worked great. I didn't need to chum them at all.
Tampa Bay bridge it's one great place to fish for mangrove snapper!
Yes, most bridges with good current flow around the tampa bay area will hold snappers!

It's Tom Stuart Causeway. You won't find snappers there this time of the year, still a bit cold. It's better to go to Fort Desoto where the water is warmer. Good luck!
