You should adjust your microphone settings. There is a background hum at a harsh frequency which makes it difficult to watch the video. Fixing this issue would greatly improve the quality of your content for all.
If you modify all the transports you would have essentially armed gunships. Increasing lethality in a defensive sense. However personally TIE Defenders and or a cheaper alternative such as the Pirate creation called the TIE Clutch would be an interesting defense fighter, since it still remains lethal but significantly cheaper than a Defender. Probably costing around 65->80 Credits. Due to its shielding and ion cannon.
Similar to the Star Wing? An assault shuttle rather than a simple shuttle! I believe modified starfighters are commonly referred to as “uglies” but the TIE wing is an interesting concept. I remember reading about them in the Rogue Squadron series
