John Turturro is one of those underrated actors who makes every project he is associated with better. I love him. "Unstrung Heroes" is one of my favorite movies.
My mom grew up with John Turturro's family (they were her neighbors on the lower east side for many years) and as a family we've followed John's acting career for many years. He's incredibly talented and has an amazing character range he can pull off! Excited to see where he goes from here. His cousins and siblings are all wonderful actors as well!
John Turturro was easily one of the best aspects of The Batman, which says a lot considering the whole film was terrific! By far the superior interpretation of Carmine Falcone.

You must must see him in Severance. He absolutely owns the screen for the last three episodes of season 1. so incredibly moving. A great show that builds in tension and suspense, worth watching for turturros performance alone. i cannot recommend it enough.
It's amazing how in that clip Turturro is able to make a simple recollection seem menacing. Like, why do I feel scared just watching this guy relate an anecdote?

Luckily I went down the list of Coen Bros movies and discovered Barton Fink a few years ago. John’s performance was a tour de force ! Too bad it flopped at the box office, but they loved it at Cannes and gave him the Best Actor award.
Ever since first seeing him in "Barton Fink" I have adored the performances of the wonderfully talented John Turturro. And he comes across a as a very sweet, humble, friendly & nice chap.

He absolutely NAILED the Falcone role, excellent performance! Falcone and the Penguin were my 2 favorites performances of the film, but all the actors were REALLY fanstastic in it!

Though I think it will go to Hugh Jackman, in light of his past experience in musical theater. He was great in that clip. I’m a Batman fan, but what makes a good comic book movie for fans is not always what makes a good movie objectively. But that was objectively terrific.
To know how awesome this man is makes it just that much harder to remember his performance in Transformers :D But hey, everybody needs a paycheck now and then, he is still amazing
I love how like kinda quiet and soft his demeanor and way of speaking is in it, it’s more intimidating than the loud over-the-top caricature of a mob guy that gets cliched and done to death

It's funny because the Batman Animated Series (that was meant for children!) was drenched in film noir yet the movies barely tapped into that.

It's also worth noting that he's played by an actor who's actually of Italian heritage. The previous Falcones were played by Anglo actors.
