I’m confused. You’re saying you absolutely would not use this product because there are lots of other stronger formulations out there - then you go on to recommend using weaker products and building up to this product?? 🤔
'I' wouldn't use it because I can take stronger products. Others that want stronger things can work their way up by using something like Environ -> TO Retinal -> stronger things. Hope that makes sense.
It's a great question. Unfortunately there's no conversion chart, however, we can use some powers of deduction... Both will simply trigger the rar receptors. This means each individually can do it in isolation. Therefore there will be some level of granactive which triggers it the same amount as the retinaldehyde. So theoretically you could use more of one and less of the other to create the same amount of rar receptor agonisation. Exactly where those levels are though is very difficult to tell unfortunately.
I use this product and it’s awesome. It hasn’t caused any irritation and as well, while paying mind to any cognitive biases, I feel my skin is improving or has improved significantly in comparison to when I was inserting toners, other serums, etc….
You are saying "Absolutely NOT", because there are stronger products that you want to use, which is highly biased. It doesn't answer the question is the product good or bad, does it work or not. It almost every country stronger product than -AL is a prescription only. Very one sided video in my opinion.
It's not biased to say there's stronger products - we can literally measure strength by RARG agonisation. This means it has nothing to do with any opinion - it's literally an objective and quantitative measurement. It answer's the question of good vs. bad by showing you that there's no such thing - it is simply a spectrum of hitting the right receptor. It works - hence why I talked about the conversion process into retinoic acid and explained the exact enzymes that do the work. Yes, stronger than retinal is generally prescription only - I never said it wasn't. The education is about the biochemistry; not the ability to prescribe.
@Dr_Abs unfortunately, in many nations, tretinoin or good adaplene is not prescribed for anti-aging or hyperpigmentation, but only for severe acne. At least we can still buy retinal.
@MichelleBrown-st1og hi there, I belive Dr Abs has a link in the description of the video to buy a consultation with him, and he will send you the prescription. Also, there are many services like Curology which offer the same deal, although I am not sure if they are available in Europe too.
My routine is just Differin cream. Once a year I do some microneedling on myself if I can be bothered. The rest is carnivore diet, good sleep, physcially active multiple times a week, plenty of sunshine and enough social connections :)
i have rosacea... can you please do a video of the simple skin care for rosacea... i live in Colombia, can we do an appointment using zoom or it is imperative that it is in person?
Thank you for your video, detailed explanation. Could you use it if you have a rosacea? And what would you generally recommend for rosacea? Many thanks
I wouldn't advise it for rosacea. I treat that first. It's usually diet related in my opinion so I treat it with that first and then can do something like this after.
Hi question!! I use Tretinion 0.05%. I read online you shouldn't use tretinion around the eyes and neck because of sensitivity. I have used it around my eyes anyway, and have had no problems. But i've gotten irritation on my neck. For best results, should I continue using the tretinoin for my eyes, and a retinal product (like this one) for my neck, and work my way up until my neck can handle the tretinion? Love your channel btw!
I'm considering using this as an eye cream while using Tretinoin (which I can now tolerate) on the rest of my face. Do you think it would be irritating around the eyes? Thanks.
Hi! On that subject, do you have any advices on people suffering from hair loss like androgenic alopecia? (Diet changes, medication, topical, etc). Love your videos by the way!😄 Keep up the good work! 🙌
Hello Doctor, Andrea here from South Africa. I asked my Doctor to prescribe Tretinoin for me and he did. Since everyone is talking about the side effects it can have or the skin getting used to period, I was wondering if I could use my Retinaldehyde on the days that I don't use the Tretinoin, or is that not recommended or advised? I've been using the Retinaldehyde for 3 weeks with no side effects and don't want to waste it.
Hello, thank you for your professional video on this new product From your point of view for greater anti-aging effectiveness, it is better to apply this product (retinal: the ordinary) on bare skin (I think) and not apply anything on top even half an hour later? I want to use it optimally (I usually moisturize my skin the day after using tretinoin) I trust you thank you for perhaps taking the time to read me good week Jack
i have spend these days nip picking your videos and googling about you... before i get stalker status, can you just tell us WHO ARE YOU? what's qualification , affiliations etc? You jumped straight away creating content and I can not clarify what is your expertise in the "food chain" and how to confirm it. (I even considered to book a dmaned online consultation to ask WHO ARE YOU?) with respect to your work and your content keep it on steady and abudant, i presume other people maybe wondering cheers
It would be an essay if I wrote everything out lol. I don't spend much time on social media which is why there isn't a lot. I work with multiple companies, in research, in clinic, teaching at universities etc - lots of different things
dr abs plz sir reply what should i use for dehydrated face skin? i am trying rosehip seed oil but it's not helping, still i am using rosehip seed oil it did suit me. but it's not helping dehydrated face skin.
Oh joy, someone who actually describes the mechanism of conversion. Thank you!

It can be bought internationally and shipped
@Dr_Abs could you tell us where to buy internationally please? I've always wanted to try tretinoin but am unsure of where to start.

So is it good or not?
Hi! What is your opinion on castor oil and creams containing DHEA for skin care? Maybe you could cover them in your contant?
Should we use Tret or Adapolene on our necks or should we use Retinol?
There's no right or wrong answer that will be the same for everyone. Generally speaking you can work up to the strongest one you like.
You got a beautiful skin texture and healthy hues. Please do a vlog products show and tell rou routine 🙏 ✨️ ASAP

@@Dr_Absis Differin cream available over the counter in US? I have seen the gel, not sure if dosage form matters.

Tret is stronger so just use tiny amounts on the eyes and as they adapt start to use more
Hi doctor I have severe hair fall from ordinary which serum I can use for dandruff and hair fall
I'd say you probably need to address the diet before a topical product

Apply on bare skin in my opinion. Half hour later should be fine for something else I imagine.
Thank you for this. I use naturium retinal because my skin cannot handle tret. Is this a good option? Will retinal give the good results long term?
Like the no bs approach, just my 2 cents

Please advise this recommending Tretinoin and you using Differin 🙏🏾 ❤
Tret & retinal which is best for long term use
Long term, it won't make too much difference in my
Opinion
Hi doc
Plz do a review on medik8 retinaldehyde. Is it really worth the money?
how to store this product? do I need to refrigerated it?
Thoughts on Medik8 Crystal Retinal 1 for beginners?
Can you do a review on Granactive Retinoid?
Great idea, I'll add it to the list :)
Any other recommendation to start with? Environ is too expensive
I started with Geek&Gorgeous A-Game 5 (0,05% retinal) because it's affordable.
Can i use retinal on my whole body?
If money is not an issue 😂
@@ViruX93 theordinary is cheap
sick video!
Would you say this is ok to use on indian skin ?
Absolutely
@@Dr_Abs thank you !
Your POV does not make sense. Retinoic acid needs a prescription, retinol and retinal are OTC products.
