This is one Of Joaquin phoenix's best roles. Such a deep character, throughout the movie.
It is a great role, but have you seen The Master? That's his best role so far. Highly recommend.

I love Jonny Greenwood's score. So beautiful, yet so full of pain.
The shots of him seeming exhausted is a nice detail. I also get that as someone with PTSD. Great film!
To anyone who hasn’t seen this film, I highly recommend it. It’s not that long, it’s like 1hr 29m. And it’s quite disturbing and graphic, but it’s a great movie. The score, the cinematography, the acting, the little background details. It’s incredible.

Joker may bring him to the Oscar, but Joker's Character is a comical Character. Caricature. Meanwhile, need a very deep soul and trauma (who Joaquin himself could easily understand and had) to play Joe. CFF could see it, and Oscar didn't. And my God, the cinematography ia stunning!
This idea that he finally breaks down when the child has to choose violence to protect themselves.

Unsettling how, as the veil falls, seems like this movie is subtly saying so many things about the elites. In the end, the real trauma is for the ones below.

Seriously, so much startling intimacy in this movie that you wouldn't expect based on the subject. Stunning.

Jonny Greenwood's music is the best part of this masterpiece, "Tree Strings" is an ode to death and existential emptiness, listening to it immediately brings tears to my eyes ... Great work!❤️

I think this movie is about people who have suffered. Joaquin’s character has seen the war and also had some problems with his father when he was young while the girl’s tragedy is clear. Such people somehow got connected but the are like not from our world, they seem not to be here at all. They’re different because they have lived through a lot. And this movie shows it in such a poetic way with such amazing moments like girl touching the window or Joaquin’s character looking a young girl who just want him to take a picture of them and sees them screaming. That’s all terrible but is shown in some extremely beautiful way here

This is more moving than the actual movie... awesome! 💙 How do you get such crisp clips of the films? Sometimes there are clips or scenes that I'd really like to save from certain movies for my own motivation or whatever, but now even Apple screen grab doesn't work even on an iPad for iTunes movies, much less a film method. Is there any really good method to save clips (even at a $ cost) out there you could recommend? I buy $30+ worth of iTunes shows and movies a week, and so often wish there was a way to capture a 5 second clip in a high resolution format. Anything you can recommend, I'd really appreciate.
....also interested in what options are out there... I've never seen anyone do this quality resolution either.

If you don't know what a jerk Joaquin is in real life, you could enjoy it just for the unusual story and quiet rage. Definitely. Having worked with him has ruined it for me, and the reason why I can't even bring myself to watch Joker.
