As a lifelong Colorado driver, the correct answer is to get into the left lane if you can when someone is merging onto the highway. If you can't, then you should slow down to let them in, but things are getting crazy out here for sure. 😬

I said so you’re going to tell me who has had family in the San Luis Valley since Colorado first became a state that I’m pronouncing it incorrectly as compared to you who has never lived there. If you’re an old timer then I-25 is actually the Valley Hwy! Also, some other words that you need to know how to pronounce are Arapahoe, Ouray, Olathe, and Arvada.

The merging thing is real. I never met a group of people who are so unwilling to merge that they rather get in the lane they need to be in 3 miles ahead of time and all wait in that line Infront of the traffic light even though there is space on the other 2 lanes. It's mind-blowing. Hell I see people yield on merging lanes DESIGNED so you can speed up and merge.

As a native, no. You maintain speed and they merge around you. They're merging, their problem is absolutely correct.

denver is not Colorado! It's more like little California. IOt's even full of California expats.
The merging thing is real. I never met a group of people who are so unwilling to merge that they rather get in the lane they need to be in 3 miles ahead of time and all wait in that line Infront of the traffic light even though there is space on the other 2 lanes. It's mind-blowing. Hell I see people yield on merging lanes DESIGNED so you can speed up and merge.
