The hooded guy was Desaad, servant to Darkseid. He’s best known for his torture methods renowned galaxy wide, and personally I think Joss Whedon swapped Steppenwolfs original design with Desaads vfx model. They look very similar and I wouldn’t be surprised

“Hallelujah” is honestly the perfect way to describe how we all felt after seeing the SnyderCut was announced FINALLY! So the song was very fitting. Especially with how triumphant it kinda felt.

The last line and song choice is a homage to fans and for the Snyder cut movement. Also, it's the favourite song of zack and his daughter who passed away.

You know, it really amazes me how this snyder cut became reality. To see the backlash of Batman v Superman and people coming around to it. They're accepting Snyder's vision and the style and wanting it back. In the town that Hollywood is, it's just nice to see something good and earnest like this come out of it.

The Darkside we see in the beginning is Uxas, aka Darkside before he became one of the New Gods
Darkseid popping up in the beginning was insane but I think he might be a cliffhanger to the sequel film. I'm glad we're getting more Flash and Cyborg scenes. And we'll finally get Iris West in the DCEU. I hope the same actress that plays Iris in JL will be in The Flash movie.
The Darkseid that pops up in the beggining is the younger version of himself. Whedon rehashed the invasion scene (the lanterns, gods, Amazon's, etc) to have Steppenwolf invade. Zacksynder originally had the young Darkseid invade which is what you see before you in the beggining and later in the trailer. This was supposed to originally be a 5 arc plan with MoS, BvS, JL1, JL2, and JL3. JL1 would have them loose and JL2 would have the world become that Nightmare vision from BvS.
As much as I like Clemons as an actress, I hope they don’t bring her back as Iris. Mainly because I want ginger Wally West with the iconic red hair. I’m also tired of race changing long established characters.

Darkseid is in the flashback scene when he fought the united armies of Atlantis, Themiscyra, men, Gods and Green Lantern. In the cinematic cut it was Steppenwolf instead.
It is 4 one hour episodes, but it will be viewable as a 4 hour movie too.

Suppose to be 4 One-hour episodes (mini-series) and i wasn't a 'Snyder Cut' person, but am glad he gets to show his version and my dissapointment in joss cut was backstory and scenes in the original trailer cut, and no time for Cavill to cut his stache. The song did remind me of Watchman, that was my only gripe.

I hope people actually judge this film fairly. Justice League was horrible but it's still built on Snyder's foundation. Even if it is a completely different movie, it's as if we're ignoring Snyder's entire film career. He's an amazing visual story teller but he's a director that's way too into himself. The fact that he's going to have a 4 hour cut, when he is constantly criticized for making his movies WAY too long, already tells you a lot. I personally believe someone else should have been directing these films with Snyder serving as a visual supervisor. Snyder's take on every member of the League is so far from anything they resemble in the comics.
Justice League was never too soon. Everyone knows DC and their characters. You don't have to introduce them in a bunch of rushed solo movies like marvel did. That's the difference between them, or rather one of many.

Song choice I feel like it's a moment of accomplishment throughout the years of persistence and wanting Zack's version of JL regardless of all the nay sayer's and various so called sources shutting down the hope that his vision doesn't even exist. So happy for Zack and his team well as everyone else who wanted Zack's cut.

The JL wasn't rushed ..It was just structured uniquely ,
The Aquaman movie came after, so imagine an Aquaman first getting the throne of being King after all that experience he had working with a team and fight big villains. People were just to MARVELIZED to see it except any shared universe diversity .
I love your videos and usually I don't post comments, but I'll try to give you context for those who don't understand why this will be a completly new movie.
Zack Snyder is really a special director, he always tries to takes care to respect the original material, his 4h full version of Watchmen is excellent while for the movie version he was "forced" to cut scenes from all sides so that the movie wouldn't be too long for the cinema.
And that's pretty much exactly what happened with Justice League.
He had started to make his film the way he wanted at first, but he had to give up half way because his daughter, born from his first marriage, committed suicide.
So, another director (Joss Whedon) started to finish the film, and he threw away almost everything Zack Snyder did and wanted to do with his reshoot, and complete narrative arcs were shot but were thrown away to shorten the movie.
And the result is not so good..., a LOT of scenes were cut in passing so that the film wouldn't be too long in the cinema.
The cinema version lasts 2 hours, whereas this version will last 4 hours and will really stick to what Snyder wanted at the beginning.
I Don't know if he's joking or not, but he said we see only 5% of his vision of the movie.
That's why so many people are in a hurry to see the movie, because it's going to be completely new, different and reworked.
And why the Alleluja music? Because it was the favorite song of his deceased daughter...

This trailer has grown on me. I HATED the music choice the first time I watched it. It just felt so self-indulgent, like this was some blessing being bestowed upon us. I'm fine with the actual imagery being presented. Hopefully the Darkseid CGI is far from done.

BVS Ultimate edition was waaaay better than BVS Theatrical cut. And that was both by Snyder. So this gives me hope for SnyderCut Justice League cuz there's no studio or Wheadon interference.
Well it looks like Supergirl because the leg is exposed. Superman has always worn tights he’s never had an exposed leg suit. So everyone believes that is Supergirl. I think that may be Bruce looking up information on Kryptonians while trying to figure out how to resurrect Clark but then again maybe not because I also heard Snyder didn’t have them resurrecting Clark the way Whedon did cause at the end of BVS we already saw Clark showing signs of life when his Aura raised the dirt. Also that is Iris West that Barry saved.
Snyder confirmed it's Superman. The leg isn't exposed. The blue is just very pale because it's a hologram. Just like the cape and boots look more pale.

"Hallelujah" is actually gonna be in the movie. It's gonna play when Batman is banging Martha Kent in the batwing hovering over Metropolis. The whole scene is gonna be intercut with Superman's resurrection and as Bruce busts a nut, Clark comes back to life which symbolizes the conception and birth of life AND Bruce rising again as Batman since up to this point he had an issue getting his bat up.

That hologram was superman, dude. Its mentioned long time ago before the movie scenes cut off. It was not even girl legs. Just rewatch man of steel would you. And check the legs. It is the same suit. Abd the cape in the hologram is flowing up by the wind. Thats too obvious way to show its superman.
At first glance, the Hallelujah track seems like a nod to how much fans have been begging for this movie, but there's actually a much sweeter, more tear-jerking layer underneath that.
Apparently, this version of "Hallelujah" was Snyder's daughter's favorite song, and he wanted to use it in the trailer here to honor her memory.

This is a 4 hour movie. Split into four parts, and that gives me a lot of hope for them being able to tell a bigger story.

Thank you for contributing your negative thoughts and sharing your expertise on these characters. I'm pretty sure there is only one interpretation to these characters. They have always been the same in the comic books right?
From darkness to light have these characters evolve, yet you still can only grasp misery. Scratch the surface and you will see the journey of these characters. Superman from being uncertain, torn between his acts and it's consequences, handling the double life and the political pressure from the media & government. Doubting if there is any good and will humanity accepts him...to start believing gradually, inspiring Batman & Wonder Woman to be better. Sacrificing himself and proving he is more human to begin with. In his death the world realise what he stands for.
Batman lost his ways. Became what he was fighting against. Lost the trust and believe in being good. Murdering people. He become Joe Chill himself trying to kill Clark Kent with that spear and let another Martha die in the alley... Superman showed him that there is still faith in humanity. The fight is not over. Batman came out of darkness and vows to do things right. That is what Superman did.
You are forcing your limited expectations on others. Just like the general people, critics & reviewers going into the cinema thinking they are going to get a fun, superficial, one dimensional comic book movie. This is not that.

@@the_crypter 1.33:1 is 4:3, but many news outlets definitely said 1.66:1 after Fandome.... however... the movie was mostly shot in 1.43:1/Imax. Snyder himself said this in a JusticeCon Interview. Our one guarantee is that we definitely won't get as wide of a look as the original release.

I will reserve judgement. I am not a fan of the filmmaker, I was meh on Man of Steel and actively loathed BvS so I was never a SnyderCut fan to begin with. And the Trilogy he talked about at least seemed rather meh, kind of like a space based X Men movie, and not the good kind.
But I am happy for fans who wanted to see this version.
