We should all take note of how supportive Jeremy’s wife is of his hunting. That makes a big difference! We better get on those honey doos when the weather tells us to boys. I know that I could sure do a little better with that.

The wife can defiantly make it easier or harder on going hunting.

Thanks Jeremy! I really needed that. I kinda have gotten consumed with other things and basically fell back into my old rut. What I mean by that is,not really valuing my hunting time. I still have the drive to go but I'm not paying attention to the weather, not being prepared or leaving myself enough time. So what ends up happening is I just continuously educate the deer and lessening my chances of harvesting a mature animal. Well as time goes by any animal by later in the season. How many other Hunters I wonder fall into the same bad habits? Where ya love hunting but fall short of making the it important enough to actually be successful. I can only hunt limited ground as well so I'm already making a not so good situation worse. Thanks to this video I'm gonna make a promise to myself to turn this around and try my hardest to be successful. There's good deer to be had,I just have to dedicate myself and really want it.

I'm glad I found your channel. I might be 50 years old, but you can always learn something new from other hunters. I'm an all-day hunter. Getting in 1 hour before shooting light and start packing up at the end of shooting light. In my area all my deer have been taken between 11am and 2pm. I still hunt in a dog zone so I already know that when those dog runners leave out for lunch and everything gets still, those deer will start moving around.

I agree 100%. One thing ive noticed this year. Ive been running 5 cell cams. One in ohio and 4 in nc on 3 different places. When the deer move they almost always move on every camera. When they dont then none of them have deer. Most times it does happen when the peak move times but not always. What is really strange though is so far there have been many days like the past two where the weather has been cold and not too windy with good bara and not one deer moving during the day and only a couple at night when it should be perfect. More study on these patterns is required.

Great informative video for those who don’t know. My dad has always lived and breathed the moon phase and solunar tables. I don’t look at them a whole lot simply because I’ve got a family and just can’t pick and choose my days. I just go when I can and make the best of being out there. But if I can line all three of those up, I’m definitely gonna be in the woods!

Spot on info for the 3 factors. Here in NE Iowa I don't go to the woods till after the 21st of Oct. and then I wait till the 1st cold NW wind/front to come down before going. For me that is when the Big Boys get up on their feet moving and searching
Prior to that it is just 2.5yr olds or under with a couple 3.5yr olds also bumping does around. The big boys know when and who "Does", that come into heat 1st. Or i think they do anyways. Usually see them close to the bigger older does checking the wind/ground scent behind them. Your videos are top notch, keep up the excellent work!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOUR FAMILY AND YOURSELF!!!

I routinely check lunar position prior to each hunt. Sometimes the midday movement is best. Good information keep the videos coming love watching them.

Jeremy thanks a million for the free education! Teaching myself how to hunt at 37. I work days, my wife works nights, and we have 2 young boys. If you only had a morning or evening on a weekend, would you scout your way in? I usually get a chunk of time in the morning or evening a couple times a week but the 2 days are never back to back or close. It’s usually a week day to scout like Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, but then I don’t get to hunt until the weekend and it seems the sign is cold or not the same by the weekend. Would you just scout your way in on the weekend day you hunt in my situation? Thanks in advance!

What App do you recommend to follow that’s easy to use reference the moon because I have never used anything relating to the moon. Thank you for the great content. Out of the 3 factors, which one is the least important? If I can only get two - which two are the best? Thanks again

I don't see where one is least important, example late season after the rut a good cold front and the move time is right before dark. It can produce a mature deer on a good food source.

You're saying, if Moon rise 7am to 9am or setting 3pm to 5pm, good time to hunt ? Just wanted to be sure I understand. I understand other ² factors. Thanks for sharing Sir.

How do you know the major and minor of each day? Is there a app?

So with these major and minor moon phases. Are you saying be in the woods when they occur within legal shooting hours? What have you seen to produce most movement, a minor or major phase? I also use HuntStand and have never paid that benefit of it any attention. Thanks for the information and suggestions. Great channel!

Yes wildlife tend to get frisky around those times. Like he said sometimes it’s not an exact science they might show up 15 -30 minutes “late” or “early” around those peak times. But if they’re in the area you’re hunting you have a good wind direct and like he said you have the weather with a full rut going on your odds of seeing him go way up as long the wind stays in your favor. (I’ll also add food to the equation for late season hunts ie food plots when all the acorns turn sour.)

I don't think one is better than the other. The key is which one fall in the morning or evening time slot for the majority of the time. I have seen midday produce on either one too.

When you scout in season do you have a preference on having a weapon with you? Great videos

A lot of time I don't care a weapon, because it's hard to get good footage scouting.

So when the moon is still visible early morning and when the moon is visible in the evening it's a good time to hunt? 🤔 I think I'm confusing myself with this. Haha

When it just come up and when it set is the minor time generaly one hour before and one hour after them time periods. When the moon is at 12 o'clock in the sky that is major time period.

Find you a moon chart and start keeping up with when you see deer.
