    Thanks for your video.
    Another advantage of Dahua is that you can see the motion and intelligent events directly on the playback bar, it seems strange but Hikvision doesn't show the events remotely, they are only seen locally on your monitor.
    With Dahua you can remotely configure any parameter with any connection, Hikvision often has big problems under the same conditions.
    As a Hikvision installer, I have been writing to him for years to improve the remote use of the IVMS system

      Yes, we have migrated to Dahua and the hardware is better, in our opinion.

    I want to use Hikvision camera with Dahua XVR. Since its not ip camera i am talking about, will there be any video quality issue with the dahua xvr and Hikvision cam?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Shouldn’t be as long as the XVR specs satisfy camera. If it’s AHD camera you need AHD XVR. It doesn’t matter the brand.

    SmartPSS crashes all the time when you use a 4K monitor and turn on Windows scaling. Works great at 1080p with no scaling, but it's completely unreliable at 4K. IMHO, Dahua needs to completely rewrite it from the ground up to support Windows scaling and GPU decoding of the streams.

      What model NVR and what FPS are you running?

      @@WentworthCCTV I have a Dahua DHI-NVR5232-4KS2 with 14 cameras, three 4MP, two 4MP PTZ's, seven 6MP, one 8MP, and a 3MP. Some cameras are 15fps, a few are 20fps. Bitrates are between 2048 and 6144bps. Everything is on a dedicated gigabit network with gigabit POE switches. The NVR is running the 4.0 firmware.

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BSD2000 yeah that recorder is supposed to handle 320 Mbps, but it doesn’t. I’ve never gotten close to that…I’m sure you already do but I would make sure everything is H.265 and I usually do 10 fps. Remember it’s a $400-$500 NVR. It can only process so much!

    • @BSD2000

      @@WentworthCCTV Well, for me, SmartPSS is a bigger problem than my NVR since it crashes on my PC with a 4K monitor with scaling turned on (200%). Works fine on 1080P monitors without scaling. I have a Intel 9900K w/32GB of RAM, a RTX 2080 Super and LG 4K monitor - plenty of processing power. If I drop the scaling down to 100%, it doesn't crash so it's strictly a coding problem. For a 'professional' security company to not address the instability of their client software is astonishing to me. I've had Hikvision in the past and never had a crash with their Windows client. Even older/cheaper 'XMEye' based cameras and NVR clients don't have this issue.

    hi may i ask did hikvision fix their issues such as bugs and lack during playback

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Firmware upgrades have helped. I have found now with the IP cameras offering micro SD onboard storage, it is better to eliminate the NVR all together and just network the camera. You can connect it to Hik-Connect just like and DVR or NVR and those issues are non existent.

    How do you get all those remote cameras into iVMS. This is like some kind of top secret trade secret. I can’t find info on it anywhere. I want to be able to monitor 8 cameras in 4 different locations from iVMS. How is this done?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You connect them to Hik-Connect by serial number then log into Hik-Connect with IVMS. It’s actually easy.

    What internet connection is at each site? Was some of the delay on the HIKVision partly due to a slower internet connection at that sight?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both sites had a gig. We have installed 100’s of Hikvision systems and it’s the encoding and IVMS. Some of the lagging was due to IVMS being connected to Chinese servers we know now. But Dahua is faster across the board. I am not a Hikvision hater, We are gold level Hikvision dealers.
