Could you please let me know how to turn on just IR ? Ive got that camera outside and I don't want that bright LED flashing on my yard but I can't find any settings just to use IR....
You need to set the sensitivity to high on SMD setting
I have these and the duos. They re both excellent at night when paired with led lights that have dawn to dusk low illumination and high illumination motion setting.

Hi Ben...started following your page...excellent and honest reviews thank you for that. You spoke highly of this camera and is why im looking at this particular review right now. I really like Dahua and the intrusion detection, lights/audio on this model are very impressive. Im a former network admin and run my own synology nas at home. I currently own an antiquated, wired Night-owl 2.0 dvr system using BNC connectors to 4 cameras for my home that i must replace asap. I was looking at wireless options, but it just seems like a bad idea... you agree? Ill bet yea...anyway your cctv knowledge is exceptional and would really appreciate your recommendation on a 4+ camera solution for my home. Ive seen literally dozens of ideas from raspberry pi to axis to dahua...and Im lost. Again...I have PCs and servers but from what i understand there are better SATAs/ HDDs designed for camera systems so they can handle the constant read/writing. So I will be doing all the installations myself and im trying to do this as inexpensively as possible with some of the superior ai and newer tech available...I know tall order right. If you can help me throw something (full nvr setup?) together Id really appreciate it. BTW...I made it to Freemantle/Perth in 81 aboard USN CV64...my favorite port of them all...nothin was better than being down under my brother! Thanks again 😊

Good review video... I have same issue with ghosting on all my dahua ip cams, is there anyway of getting rid of it, or do you know of a camera brand which doesn't have this issue.

hello, I want to install cameras and I have chosen two models HFW2849S-S-IL and HFW3849T1-AS-PV S4 and both cameras have a 2.8mm lens. can you explain to me which camera has a better picture at night and during the day? And also when the blue red ice light will not be used, as well as the alarm is it worth buying the expensive camera? thank you

I need the best security camera that will work on WiFi no Poe. It need to pick up from a long driveway 50 meters. Record on SIM card 24/7. Don’t need to converse with people just record car and license plate. Camera will be within 5 meters to WiFi. I have a very strong WiFi signal. I just want to install and forget it until needed. Need to be able to view over phone if needed. Money is no object. What do you recommend.
