That comment about the art being just good in comparison to the other art really struck a chord with me! I often buy art but now I’m wondering if I should be more selective. Thanks for the perspective! And thank for having a crack team of thrifters on speed dial ❤❤
Nice video! I also love that you are honest about your finds. I’ve seen others that I wonder if they plant finds in the stores to look like they always are successful. As a fellow reseller I know the good sourcing days are so fun and energizing, but there are days that are so frustrating and draining when nothing presents itself. My friends all think it’s fun shopping all the time, I wish they could see the bad days too to appreciate this is a “real” job 😊. Vlogmas-you are a brave soul to attempt it!
Love your stalker mode of checking other sellers sold!!! YES YES YES to vlogmas!!!!!!!!!!!! TFS❤🎉. Glad you got those bags of smalls. Should go back for all the art - two framed paintings and calendar art - soo 🔥🔥🔥
I have always wondered where you were from. Michigan makes total sense. We visited M Island. Very fun. Ideas: more home/room tours. How to style vignettes. Cleaning everything beyond brass. Taxes for Etsy sellers, how to get organized. Branding. Shipping. Viewer Q & A of your choice.
Hi! I love the vlogmas idea! I would definitely watch every day. Some video topics could be: things you’ve thrifted for your son, the 5 thrifted items around your house that you’ve had the longest, your favorite lipsticks (you always have such a nice color!), and any items you’ve regretted buying for resale and what you did with them (like redonate or post somewhere for free?). Anyway, I’ll watch whatever you put out and am excited to see what you come up with
I didn’t know the tip about searching Etsy shops for previous sold items by the sellers. I was limited to looking at feedback items! This is great to know!
Andi🌞 I would like a vlog on how you have so much energy? What type of coffee do you drink? I also would like a vlog on one day you buy every thing you normally wouldn't. I also have another idea what about only buying certain items on certain days leading up to Christmas🎄. Example: Monday's you're only allowed to buy wood you can't buy brass.Tuesday's you can buy only candles. Wednesday you can buy only art. You get the idea. I love everything you do I have no idea why. I think it is you remind me of the sister I didn't have. I am a very fast talker also & I've been in love with junking/ Thrifting since I was 4 years old. Unfortunately my mother was a dumpster diver even though she had money. I remember as a kid being so embarrassed. But the times have changed since then... Or not? Whatever you do Andi it's going to be a success! Love ya...💟😊🙏 Oh BTW that tray that you passed on was Korean. I have no idea what it said.
I visited Het Loo, William & Mary's castle in North Holland. She collected those tiny blue and white figures like the ones in your bag! Also the floral prints with the months are from Colonial Williamsburg.
Rustolem makes a stain pen that I use a lot for small nicks on wood pieces, like the little nick on the butterfly tray. I prefer the stain to a marker because I think it blends in nicely. The Old American shade is the most versatile IMHO. Always fun seeing what you find! I’m eager for your take on emerging trends.
Vlogmas ideas - how you schedule your days/weeks to do reselling and a regular job AND you mentioned working on a trend spotting report for one of your marketing clients I would love to know tips and tricks for trend forecasting - resources etc. love your TH-cam videos!
I’m so glad you rescued the worm !! An imperfectly perfect, whimsical , “just because”purchase. Christmas vlogs- maybe some festive table settings using thrifted items ? Thanks Andi . Even with minimal haul, your vids are fun and educational.
That butterfly tray is korean! The letters on the tray with the butterflies are Korean characteritics. It does not say anything in phrases, just bunch of korean letters and words. Love your videos as always!!!
I'm unsure if you've ever done so before, but as someone who is just getting started selling homewares, I would LOVE to see your packing/shipping process for larger decor/paintings and any tips you have for that! I've sold vintage clothing for years but that's quite easy to mail in comparison and I'm floundering!
I love the artwork and the wood bowls. 10.00 for that mushroom is sad. I collect puzzle boxes and put gifts inside. I choose carefully, who gets them. My daughter hates them, so did my mom.
Andi, I actually love that you had a video that didn't produce a huge haul because that's often what I experience here in the Bay Area. I can relate! Thank you for the time you put into these videos. Much appreciated! ~ Kris
@@AllPutTogether I'm from Québec and I went ti see in your etsy shop if you were selling any of the blue & white pottery, I would love to get the little sitting horse, I made a similar one 30yrs ago it would mean a lot to get that one, I've never seen anything like it 💙
Hi Andy u r hilarious ! Pls do a vlogmas about the vintage clothes u have & how you wear them & why you choose to buy the particular item. I am curious because one of the sweaters on your videos looked like a vintage MISSONI …
I’m curious about what percentage of your online listing prices goes to the shipping costs? Maybe you have addressed that in another video that I haven’t seen yet - I know you are really open and honest with your reselling advice. Also, what margins to you generally look for when purchasing for reselling? 2x or 3x or more than purchase price?
I’ve always had a hard time finding goodies thrifting in the Portland area. I have a sister who lives there. First time watching one of your videos. 🙂 You came up in suggested. I like your taste in art! On another topic, your hair is amazing. ☺️
Vlogmas Idea - pls show the art you’ve kept for your home and any story behind the pieces💐 Thoroughly enjoyed all of the fascinating info you shared today, and thank you for showing this realistic shop. Sorry it wasn’t profitable though. Looove the worm adventure🤍💙🤍
I enjoy your videos. Always a little jealous of your thrifting finds. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the thrift shopping is definitely not as great, especially Goodwill. Thank you for your instructions about cleaning brass! I would like to see more tips on cleaning/refurbishing items for resale. I have a space in a vintage shop and am sometimes amazed that some vendors leave items dusty and yuck! Thank you.
I sold a single of those botanical prints. The person wanted it for a birthday month. I think they were popular in the 70s. P.s. The inchworm is darling!
I’d like for you to talk a bit about how you ended up in the Portland area. How did you met your Brit & does your little one speak with a British accent? 😊
It is a catterpillar❤So funny listening to a steamy novel😂😂😂. Just a thought Andy if you space the art in the gallery wall behind you, it will look more amazing and classy. Fantastic blue and white figurines😊
I appreciate that you don't always find good stuff and you're honest about it. I like seeing the process and reality of reselling - the good, the bad and the chipped;) Vlogmas Ides: Show us your thrifting "death pile" (if you have one); a day in your life (sped up, not necessarily with commentary); your holiday decor (time lapse from start to finish); wrapping Christmas gifts; holiday outfit GRWM.
Vlogmas idea: top 3 or top 5 spots you like to grab a bite or grab coffee while thrifting in Portland with your girlfriends. Thinking of a girls trip next year.
A vlogmas topic could be vintage finds for a boy's stocking! I have three boys who are "grown up" now and it has always been challenging to find surprises for them at Christmas.
Hi Andi, love all your videos, it doesn't matter that you didn't find much. Vlogmas ideas: favourite brass items you kept, what other types of things you are collecting, your bucket list.
I would love to see a home tour I'd your closet and your whole house . Lol. Watching you helps me relax. I know it's weird. I now want to find vintage hard goods. I have a Mercari store with mainly shoes and clothes but I want to find items and art!! Ok bye
One of my biggest faults as a reseller is sometimes getting in the mode of sourcing for the sake of sourcing instead of passing up on things. It’s tough because I love the sourcing part of this. 😊
The worm is awesome. He will be a reminder that you don’t have to be perfect to be irresistible. What are you going to do with the worm? Be the coolest mom on the block.
Vlogmas video ideas - combination videos of 'Personal Top 10 that you own' combined with 'Top 10 of Sourced to sell' on different subjects eg Art, although I would certainly watch Top 20 of anyone's Personal vintage Christmas collection! Wrapping awkward objects and courier and why eg. large paintings. Themes - miniatures, your Religious collection, boxes, decorating your Christmas booth, favourite animals, snippets of repairing items, from your picking trip with friends ...... favourite things which others bought, favourite things bought throughout the year or 'Ever' , a few family recipes ?!
Hi Andy, I will buy the lot of Blue and white porcelain items if you decide to sell them. Let me know! Thanks. And yes please do Vlogmas! I and others would love that! But not at the cost of your health, I know it must be incredibly time consuming and difficult. I would watch any content. You are the best!
Vlogmas ideas: show your rooms decorated for Christmas; favorite holiday foods; highlights of fun holiday outings; share your favorite holiday decorations from your own collection; booth tours at both places you have booths; holiday traditions from your husband; favorite holiday gifts from the past.
Our thrift shops are so awful. It kills me to see all of what you leave behind because we would never find anything near as exciting as even one of those souvenirs.
My grandma always had a little yellow and green worm in the plant pot above her kitchen window. I want a little green and yellow worm but can’t find one. Boohoo.
Vlogmas: Would you buy an item you absolutely love even after being warned it's haunted, possessed, cursed etc.? Many dealers making big bucks overcharging for "haunted dolls".
Senior days in my local GWs are packed. Makes for stressful shopping and the cashiers get backed up and the inventory gets picked over. Never a convenient shopping experience but I go because I get the senior discount. So right there with you Andi, I understood what you meant in the video.
I love the inchworm! There were so many other cute items in that bag! You should have got the sunflower picture, I thought it was super cool.
I know! I had regrets once I watched the footage back.
That comment about the art being just good in comparison to the other art really struck a chord with me! I often buy art but now I’m wondering if I should be more selective. Thanks for the perspective! And thank for having a crack team of thrifters on speed dial ❤❤

Omg the bad days are so draining!! This time of year is so tricky because there is so much Xmas in the stores!!
Love your stalker mode of checking other sellers sold!!! YES YES YES to vlogmas!!!!!!!!!!!! TFS❤🎉. Glad you got those bags of smalls. Should go back for all the art - two framed paintings and calendar art - soo 🔥🔥🔥
I totally regret those calendar prints looking back!
Omg I love that wooden castle. I wish I saw this sooner so I could’ve purchased it. This is now on my list of vintage treasures I hope to get one day
I really appreciate you adding what sold. That is incredibly interesting to me. Thank you!

I’d love you to do a packing and shipping day vlog. Like awkward to ship items I’m afraid to list!
And a booth fluff day vlog!
Plan to film a bulky shipping tutorial this week!
Thanks you so much for explaining the ‘vlogmas’ interest. You are so honest!
I loved the little worm. I think it's a fun thing to decorate with. You could use the other items in the bag for your mystery grab bags.

That tray! And the side table.

I would like to see a collection a day of all the things you collect. Your brass collection, art, trinkets.
For vlogmas: a video about your absolute favorite things that you have found and sold. Not based on ROI, per se, just things you really admired.
Mistake not picking up the Sept-Dec framed art : ( Also, the Fung paintings!
And the $20 table
Def regret the table!
I’m so glad you rescued the worm !! An imperfectly perfect, whimsical , “just because”purchase. Christmas vlogs- maybe some festive table settings using thrifted items ? Thanks Andi . Even with minimal haul, your vids are fun and educational.
Great idea!!

That butterfly tray is korean! The letters on the tray with the butterflies are Korean characteritics. It does not say anything in phrases, just bunch of korean letters and words. Love your videos as always!!!
I thought that was the case but google could not make sense of the characters! 🤦♀️Thx for watching!!
I love anything blue and white. I would love to get any of them!!!
I would like a video on what is in your purse for everyday use. 😆 I'm curious!!
OMG I love these videos too!!
Vlogmas : like to see your booth when you refresh it. 😊

That Lippie color looks Fab on your skin tone. You look very pretty in this video. Great finds as well! Loved the ceramic animals.
Aww thank you!!

On the list!
Vlogmas: What’s your favorite vintage holiday item and where did you find it?
I 100% love that you have a re-seller group you can get advice from ❤ I would have bought the bag of blue and white for sure!

I ve always been drawn to vintage things.

Dressing your booth! You have such style and I struggle with styling my booth. I'd love to hear about your thought process.
Wow they have amazing paintings! Wish I were there
Super curious to see your holiday decorations if you do decorate.
I sold a single of those botanical prints. The person wanted it for a birthday month. I think they were popular in the 70s. P.s. The inchworm is darling!

I’d like for you to talk a bit about how you ended up in the Portland area. How did you met your Brit & does your little one speak with a British accent? 😊
Ok!! ☺️
Would love to see a video of any buyer remorse items and seller remorse items.
It is a catterpillar❤So funny listening to a steamy novel😂😂😂. Just a thought Andy if you space the art in the gallery wall behind you, it will look more amazing and classy. Fantastic blue and white figurines😊
Vlogmas: Holiday decorate with me thriftmas style! 🎄
Vlogmas: What are the best tools to use to research your finds (art, pottery, etc) that are not signed or just have initials on them?
Thank you for explaining why creators do Vlogmas. I always wondered xx
I want that little blue and white windmill! Is it available?
I will be selling a set of them all soon!

Fabrik. I can’t remember the name of the yellow pattern you picked up.
Yes!! Thank you! Totally blanked. ☺️
Love the worm
The art is probably from a furniture showroom, they look like a mass produced ‘original’ based on the tag on the back
yes, it kinda had that vibe.
A vlogmas topic could be vintage finds for a boy's stocking! I have three boys who are "grown up" now and it has always been challenging to find surprises for them at Christmas.
The stoneware underplate at 7:38 is Fabrik from Seattle.
BTW, Home Goods , etc sold a lot of those glass knots.
You should get the flower month prints, classic traditional and vintage.
Should get the original art, too!
For the Vlogmas, how about personal things that you like to collect i.e. the wicker animals, etc.
Yes! Added to the list!
Looks like Forest Grove Goodwill, the first one you went to.
Show us how to pack a framed art piece for shipping.
Oh I would have bought that bag of the Delft minis!
Your hair looks so healthy and shiny! 😊
Thx!

If you don't like being around old people, don't shop on seinor day. Sorta childish to age shame and complain like that.
