This was a tough day for me as a 10 year old in Boston. I had been a huge Cowboys fan since about 79 cause of my grandfather but was also a Pats fans cause it's my local team etc. And at this time the Cowboys were on the decline and the Pats on the upswing. So this was a tough day for me :) As tough as it gets for a 10 year old NFL fanatic !! Though I haven't had any devotion to the Cowboys in over 35 years - the era from 79 to 85 for me were my glory days of being a Cowboy fan and it was the best of times !! Even though it was all heartbreak cause I was too young for Super Bowl 12 :( All I had was year after year misery comes January:(
Two teams coming off polar opposite games in week 12 The Patriots had scored 50 points in a road win. The Cowboys were the first team in 1984 to lose to 0-11 Buffalo.
The Internet is soooo tired of you old Dinosaurs btching about everything New. Geeez. Newsflash Gramps, Nothing stays the same, people change, prices go up. It's how life works. Dinosaurs like you, who watched foot in the 50's and 60's were saying the same dumb things about the game during this era that you are droning on about now. Cowboy fans from the 90's are now Doing it about these Cowboys.
a must watch when these two battled. I noticed a lot of double teams on Randy, as usual. Both White and Hannah the absolute best at their positions throughout their careers. RESPECT
Ray Berry was way ahead of the curve teaching the defense to grab and punch at that ball on every play. In this one respect, the 84 patriots look like a team from the 2020s. Tony Eason would have done a little better in this game, and for his career, if they put him in the shotgun. He spent half the game dropping back and the other half getting sacked. (He led the league in sacks taken this year with 59.) Tony Franklin, the OG barefoot kicker. In high school, he was too poor to get a kicking shoe so he went barefoot, and it worked anyway. Inspired a whole gang of wacky goofballs to freeze off their toes, not the least of which was straight-leg, barefoot MVP Mark Moseley - a triple oddity.
Doug Donley/Craig James two very talented young players in this game whose careers were cut short due to injury. Donley with torn hamstrings and James with chronic shoulder issues
10 sacks by the Dallas D was awesome but what the hell is with the clock management at the end of the game and who the hell was calling the plays that was awful!
2 best Uniforms/logo in the NFL
No - the two best are the Patriots and the BUCCANEERS.
the mean looking cardinal beats all others.

Dick Enberg and Merlin Olson were the best. I watched that game which is a staple on Thanksgiving.

Patriots first Thanksgiving Day game
You have quite the variety! Thank you!

Excellent game to watch today (Sunday) instead of the current NFL.
100% agreed...This was my thanksgiving day game today.
Currently the National Anthem is racist. Hard hits are illegal, and commercials featuring tranny’s. Watching the NFL now a days is a real joy.

Before Adam Vinatieri, there was Rafael Septien.
Randy White had a big game.
A beast !!
Look like he got owned by John Hannah
Had three sacks vs Hannah. John Hannah got owned.
@@Brody-cx5vl Wow speak of probably the 2 meanest dudes to ever play football. Randy White and John Hannah !!

Love those old Patriots uniforms
Pat Patriot and the three point stance on the helmets.
And here we are, 40 years later.... legend has it, they're still on the field.
@2:17:01 Future 90s pro bowl offensive lineman, Mark Tuinei, sacking Tony Eason when he still played on the DL.

The Patriots always seem to lose to the Cowboys.
Except from 2000 to 2020 ?
@@SoundOfWhiteNoise1 He's talking about real football, not modern flag football.
