That's kind of the joke in this series.
In the animated show there is no one more dangerous and powerful than MMH, yet somehow he is always gone from the big fight or somehow weakened/nerfed to keep the episodes longer than 2 minutes run time.
In this series it is because he is extremely lazy and apathetic.

he was either a really big threat to get Martian man hunter to use his powers and not be useless or martian man hunter really didn't like him
if I remember right, in the actual series he blew MM away with psychic powers and that basically established that he was a threat when he didn't want his world discovered. Also, I find it slightly strange that if this is true, the justice league basically annihilated a time line by defeating the kid who could reshape a tragedy into a paradise.

What's up with the dialogues speed in this one? Some of the lines sound like they are on fast-forwards, while others are unnaturalyl slow.
I had to re-watch multiple sections just to understand the dialogues (or have a chance to read the subtitles)
