Sean, I just thought you should know that I'm the founder and president of your fan club in South Africa. I'm working on more members, but we have to start somewhere 😉 Love your music, and the integrity and passion that shines through so brightly 🙏
Love this cover. Great harmonica played with energy and in tune. Sean is intensely focused on the song as always, but look at him dance in this performance! With his kitchen as stage I half expected the blender to take the spice rack for a spin, and the plates and cups to start a line dance, the clattering dishes a substitute for applause. Good morning Sean! And thanks.
Awesome! I had to think about that reply for a second. At first I thought, a fan since ‘52… hey wait, I’m not that old! But you mean the song. Gotcha. 😂
hi sean. i mean you probably know your skill with music but let me tell you it's more special then many others out there. unique.. i really enjoy it here in old dang Switzerland, knowing i probably never will see you play.. just thank you for dooing it and let us be part of it.. if you ever happen to read that: where did u get that jacket/shirt you are wearing in the video, i'll follow your trail? and you ever heard of a thing called Terva? it's booze out of lappland made of Pine tar, old sami tradition. you ever wanna head out to scandinavias wild, hit me up i got a cabin in the woods there .cheers
Awesome cover of this classic. What a great voice, very cool and proper harp, minimalism at its best. The unassuming venue is the icing of this delicious cake.
@@seanrowemusic , since this comment, I got sick, got better, and listened to this specific song about... say, 15 times? No other cover appealed to me that much. Of course, I follow your channel as well.
Sean, EVERY time I either watch or listen to you I FEEL like it’s just you and me. May God make that happen some day, until then I’ll just praise you to everyone. Man, would my wife and I love to have you in our kitchen, she’d cook you a fabulous vegan meal. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey... cool version. I love the way the guitar/harmonica combo give sense of motion/engine.... Gotta love that cooker !!! Dont see 'em that size over here !!!
Kind of want to hear you cover some Crash Test Dummies. (Now that's got me wondering... I know one of their former members, Benjamin Darvill has a solo act called Son of Dave now where he uses loops, shaker percussion, and harmonica, and Wikipedia says he played harp with them, but I don't remember any harmonica in their songs.) You doing any shows in the Albany area? I haven't seen you play live since you played Landis.
Ever since I first saw you live in Chapel Hill, I've admired the percussion you manage to work into your solo guitar performances. We were a tiny crowd years ago at the Cat's Cradle, but I imagine now you'd draw a great crowd if you ever make it back.
Awesome cover and expertly done. The harmonic sections are really clean and sharp. Love you vocal tone color. I really dig you music and style. Your foraging ventures are another cool part of you. Wondering how old your kids are at this point. I remember a really sweet song about one of them when they were born.
Love incorporating the harmonica. Great song, great take. I borrowed the idea from you but use your intro as the outro also and fade. Only problem is you made me hungry performing in the kitchen. Think I'll grill a steak. Keep on keepin on brother.
What a sad pathetic song. It is beautiful at the same time. If a man can easily be taken by another woman, he isn't worth having. No woman should ever be so desperate that she is begging a home wrecker to leave her man alone. Sad sad sad.
Aw so sorry you don’t like it. I’d love to be your monkey though. Thanks for letting me know what I should play. I was completely lost before but now I can see where my true strengths are. You’re the best!😌
Dear sweet baby Jesus. Holy shit man. I swear you can do no wrong when it comes to music. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bad song by you.
Well, thank God there wasn’t TH-cam when I first started out as a teenager. You would’ve found a plethora of bad music.😂
Everything Sean does is excellent. That big, beautiful voice makes me feel better about the world.
well, i'm actually not so good at most things but music and foraging, i can do those well haha.
Dang!! SR strikes again. This may be my favorite version of Jolene!
I agree.. most Sean Roew covers are better than the original to me.. I like his spin on it. Try Layla from Eric Clapton!
that harmonica though! Damn that sound gets right into my soul. Bravo my brother.
you got it my friend! thanks for commenting!
Absolutely phenomenal rendition of Dolly’s signature song!!! You rocked it! ❤️

Julius....I'm in!!

Thanks for that Lazarica! Yeah, that's my intent when i cover something. I try to take it somewhere different but keeping the same spirit in a way ;D
Oh hell yeah! Bad ass version of an incredible song!
Mr Sean, you have that voice that pierces my heart like a tornado. My goodness... 💔
aw thank you for saying that ;D
This is awesome, I literally clicked out of a different song mid stream when I saw a new cover from Sean Rowe.
I do appreciate that man!

Great song, great version (as always)!

Wow, thanks! Yeah i remember the CC ;D and i still love tiny crowds!

Unbelievable ❤
So good !
Great cover. To hear such a great songwriter like Sean do covers is pretty cool
Thank you Ryan!
Awesome!
I'd like to know how he gets that sound and production quality of an acoustic guitar and stand up mic. Amazing really.
A lot of trial and error and a few happy accidents!😉
Amazing! I really like how you adapted the song to your voice and style! What a Unique Performance! Thank You!
Thank you so much Kosin!
Clearly partly inspired by the White Stripes cover :) Awesome performance.
Always a treat. Thank you.
My pleasure 💗
Nailed it 👍
Amazing Sean, thanks for posting these!!
Love it!
Génial et quelle voix
Love it Sean!
Instead of the super high note in Jolene I like what you did.it gave the song a unique feel.awesome job man😊🤘

Sean, that's a great cover. You did a great job with this song. When you going to do "Closing Time" by Leonard Cohen? lol
Thanks bro! I've never tried that Cohen cover before but it's a great one.
Like this 👌

Hey Dano thanks! yeah my boy is 11 now. Wrote little man and follow your trail for him ;D
❤❤❤
The best, as usual
Muito Top!!!!!
what a presence. Hey, what's with the guitar mods?
That's an epiphone, electric bridge pickup in the sound hole and i use heavy gauge electric flatwound strings ;D
Love incorporating the harmonica. Great song, great take. I borrowed the idea from you but use your intro as the outro also and fade. Only problem is you made me hungry performing in the kitchen. Think I'll grill a steak. Keep on keepin on brother.
Ha ha, thank you Tony! That’s actually a minor A harmonica. Harder to find those ones but they are fun to play!
😊
You are the coolest sexy man! God bless you
wow, i will keep that complement Anne ;D Thank you!!
Great cover... seriously tho, how do you rock that harmonica without getting beard hair stuck in it? 😅
Fuck sake Luke, that thing actually gets me every time. But, i gotta take one for the team ya know?
Gary Allan??? Maybelline too.
What a sad pathetic song. It is beautiful at the same time. If a man can easily be taken by another woman, he isn't worth having. No woman should ever be so desperate that she is begging a home wrecker to leave her man alone. Sad sad sad.
Should’ve changed the lyrics a bit to make it not gay
Other than that very very cool cover
I refuse to change any pronouns in cover songs! Happy to represent the gay version.
Stick to songs about ya kids and sad war vets buddy, this screams guy bar
Aw so sorry you don’t like it. I’d love to be your monkey though. Thanks for letting me know what I should play. I was completely lost before but now I can see where my true strengths are. You’re the best!😌
