Although Destiny has its ups and downs, the truth is that it's one of the longest-running and most-successful gaming franchises of all time. And when a game sees that level of success, you can bet that other people are going to take notice of it and try to copy it. In this video I investigated a bunch of games that copied Destiny 2. Some of them are super obvious clones, while the inspiration in others is more subtle. When you look at them side-by-side though, it's clear that some elements from each of these games was originally taken from Destiny. I hope you enjoy the video, it's a bit different than my usual stuff so if you thought it was a nice change of pace leave a like.

Well I just found out about you and I have the lens of fate emblem and my name Shadow on destiny2 was UnknownShdow before but got rid of the Unknown part but any ways I was wondering why I kept getting shot by my teammates in pvp whole game now i know why. and I now know why streamers get so piss when teammates keep shooting them, Its super annoying.

Not funny. I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrible attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I can't believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny i genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. Did you get to play D2 in year 1? The vanilla d2 campaign was the red war, it has the cabal destroy the tower from destiny 1. We don’t reclaim it but we have to fight through it. That’s what was showed and what was copied in that clip

Love Shadow's content, have been watching for so long. This guy got me back to destiny so many times, you don't get as much credit as you deserve
You having fun? Wait until you actually complete everything bud. And watch everything you just said fade away. Every season is legit 10 minutes of new gameplay once a week. Sometimes no mission at all, just a mission that leads to a cutscene. More broken guns that people with money get instant access to. And let's not forget every season you have to grind the same activities again just to reach the level required for the new shit, just to play the new shit basically until there's something new again. And the process continues. I really don't get how that's fun? You can chalk it up to me playing too fast, but I really didn't. I played about as hard as I play crash bandicoot while stoned. And my warlock has nothing to do, my hunter has nothing to do, and my titan is unloved because I said Fuck this game after playing through the same game again with fists instead of a stab or bitch slap. And y'all are excited for a linear destiny? Okay 🤣😭 they just cut away most of destinys content tropes to make a more affordable DLC. Now they don't have to make a map with multiple zones. They just make one giant zone that ends at the witnesses tower. And the campaign is as they stated "having to come back and try again to see how much farther you can make it, until you can reach the tower" that just explained the entire DLC. Mini dark souls with one bonfire at the very start of the map. Oh yeah, sounds like a legendary conclusion to the light and dark saga. 3 dudes in rainbow colors doing the griddy and getting clapped 20 feet from spawn so they go back to orbit and farm old content to get stronger and come back to make it to the next biome. They said "campaign? What campaign? We're making a mini map with no point at all besides the one thing we're gonna make impossible to reach until you farm more old content to grow stronger like Goki when he faced vegina

I can’t ever tell that I’m watching an ad till I’m half way through it and at that point, I’m already invested in what you’re talking about. When you mentioned war thunder, I actually thought you were comparing the two. And in the end mentioning the reloading to then bring up the action of moving to the next video explaining what you mentioned. Dude, you’ve cracked the code. I’m impressed. Your content isn’t only I formative, interesting and enjoyable to watch. It’s also well written, performed well and the visuals are relevant to what you’re talking about so it keeps the viewer engaged. A lot of TH-camrs can learn a lot from watching your videos.

Yeah lucky I'm sure final shape is gonna be great but honestly I'm very skeptical about the new episodic content design. The layout chart from bungee it seems way too much like seasonal content. The problem is not seasonal content the problem is people shouldn't pay 40 to a $100 for an expansion when the majority of the seasonal content is focused on 6 year old destinations! Example look at the witch Queen the throne world or Neptune or Europa for expansions like beyond light light fall The majority of the content was focused on 6 year old destinations and was rarely focused on new destinations!
The final shape destination whatever it's gonna be it should focus on that destination the seasonal content or episode a content it should feel like an actual DLC new experience!
I already Promise myself if it's not gonna focus on seasonal content I'm not gonna waste a penny I'll buy the final shape but I'm not gonna f****** buy the DLc's or whatever you want to call it episode content. I miss old bungie when they care about quality and not quantity. Even when Nathan Fallon left bungee he even said something in an interview that's similar to what I say that bungie was not the same that they used to care about the community but now they only care about filling up their wallets! It's funny, because the Shadowgun mobile game series has been successful longer than Destiny really has. Was one of the earliest popular shooters for Android/iOS.
Sadly, Destiny armor and weapons haven't looked good in a long time, and have never been as detailed as the stuff we're seeing now from Korea and the like. Makes me wish Bungie switched up their art director, who has probably been hard at work on Marathon in recent years instead.

as someone who actually played a lot of voidcrew I can tell you it is so far removed from what destiny is it's not even close. Void Crew has more in common with games like barotrauma and sea of thieves then it. me and my friends got together to play and it's actually a really fun cooperative game. If anything it's extremely unique since I can't firmly say I've ever played a game like it or with the same quality as it. Highly recommend giving it a try! but only with friends since it's heavily focused on cooperation.
I somehow have the source code for the shadowgun legends game......... i make small things in unity so imagine my shock to see the game listed as an asset bundle that was in my library............

The best part is, I'd support practically all of these, as Destiny has lost a LOT of good will with its executives ignoring the devs, laying off the devs and important staff for having ideas that would improve the game in the year dedicated to quality of life improvements, and mismanaging what should've been an okay expansion.

well, to be fair, if you look at other games you will also find the exact rarity system, the exact same weapon types etc. these are just basic mechanics that you find all over games. its like saying ark somehow copied minecrafts survival mechanics, or AC odyssey having the same rarity system as diablo 4.
Shadowgun Legends started as a gears of war version for mobiles, but started to take elements from Halo, that's why have those similar elements

i played shadowgun and never even noticed the correlation until this video
before coming to Destiny 2 back in 2017-18 i played the shit out of shadowgun legends. the best legendary(golden item) pistol back then was Mother's Promise and man o man everyone's wish was to get that from Voltaic Fist, such a great so called strike in destiny language that was.
I remember playing Shadowgun Legends when I wanted to play a game where I could roleplay MasterChief since I don’t have an X-box or any Halo game. It’s fun! I should play it again some time!

Straight up copies for sure, but let's not forget the Titan void shield throw that's exactly like Captain America, the Hammer titan that is exactly like Thor, Stormcallers that are Sith Lords, Hunters running around like Gambit(arc strider), and all of the other little details Bungie's stolen from comics, movies, and other games.
Maybe they just robbed the content vault where Bungie stored all that content their players paid for but were denied.

Similar to the Roblox Destiny, There also exists a Minecraft Server that has recreated many aspects of Destiny 2, like, Strikes, (an early access) crucible, fishing, multiple D2 destinations including Titan, Io, Nessus, and The EDZ, many exotics from both D1 and D2, and actual constant updates

I get most of these but same rarity colors, calling players guardians, and an air vent that just so happens to look ever so slightly similar to the one in the first mission of destiny are some of the biggest stretches somebody could take.
To Be fair, destiny has been around for 10 years now, and has an exceptionally unique artstyle. That hasn t really been done in history so far. So it was only a matter of time until the art style got used across artistic industries. Saying Luna Abyss copied destiny is a little bit like Saying World of Warcraft copied lord of the Rings.
Yea even just watching sci-fi from the 80s and 90s you can see elements that Bungie copied. I've seen an air duct with light shining through the fan dozens of times.
shadowgun legends was such a great game, shame that is kinda forgotten by the devs with one of the 4 planets of the game still locked... well at least it was locked a few years ago when i played for the last time. the game just doesn't get any content anymore, which is sad, because it's a really fun game to play the arenas with the giant boss were the best multiplayer experience that i had in a mobile game

Easy. Take Dr off resilience leave flinch resist then their mainly class based. Build res to flinch less and titan barricade recovery heal sooner and rift cd mobility jump strafe and hunter cdr. Just nerf resilience and if titans need the defense add it to the class not builds.
