Originally, the Ghost was supposed to be a very uncaring, bored and flippant character
siva being on nessus has massive lore implications, considering the fact that it is basically a vex-infested asteroid, it's impossible to think that the vex wouldn't try to control it, and while the vex are already powerful enough without siva, they could also steal it from humanity forever.
also, it's crazy how early destiny was more like a fusion between futuristic sci-fi and medieval fantasy, im honestly kinda sad they walked away from that as it was one of the few things that truly made destiny different from halo, now the only "fantasy" things in destiny are almost exclusive to the hive. this "magician", if he or she still exists in the lore, probably now has a very different lore than originally planned.
Worth noting that SIVA is still on Nessus, just not the haywire corrupted version that was present in RoI (Which was specifically a hacked, fucked up version. It's meant to just, like, build houses). Also the Vex don't really need SIVA - their construction capabilities are seemingly just as capable as it on their own. All it would really do for them is be hard to control.
@@XogoWasTaken The vex might learn the algorithm using which SIVA functions seeing as SIVA is based on the tiny living beings in Vex radiolaria. They might be able to make all SIVA go rogue and wipe us out. Who knows how much more is hiding on Sol planets unaccounted for?
Yeah the original aesthetic between sci-fi and medieval is what I preferred too, wish they'd lean back into that

correction: Galaxy Pools was found by a hacker flying out of bound during a time we had a rise of cheaters in destiny. Froggy in his friends took it upon themselves to find a legit way to reach Galaxy Pools without cheats.

@@streamhiro77Yeah and it was almost a year before a legit way was found. I remember seeing AZ-1s post on raid secrets and being blown away. Huge props to Mads (the Sparrow flying expert) and Froggy and Co for all working together to get there. Even the new easy skimmer method found by someone else is amazing. Haven't been there myself and probably won't ever unless someone invites me.
I'm a mod on twitch. One of the other mods used to work at Bungie on the Strikes team. He used to get mad at the "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" from the Exo Stranger. He used to tell us she did have time and there was a reason it was cut from the game.

It's a volunteer thing. Kind of. The streamer picks someone to moderate chat. Usually someone they trust that isn't a troll. Bigger Streamers sometimes pay. I was asked, I chose not to
seeing the pink placeholder icon with the "prismatic" shader name... LOL TFS all makes sense now
You missed sparrow crafting. On the original Destiny companion app you could view your sparrow collection and under each sparrow it would have the text: “Crafted=X”
Xur also sold sparrow drives so maybe at one point it was intended to put together your own sparrow.
I miss the stances that our characters had in the menu from destiny 1 they just looked really nice.
The blue VoG gear IS in Destiny 1, Age of Triumph brought it back in the game with ornaments, you can select one of two ornamentations or stick with the default.

11:52 Still wish they had Pete Stacker AKA Captain Keyes voicing ghost, I always appreciated that through line of Bungie cast members through out their games, and I think from the small amount of lines we heard he gave a unique take on Ghost
I would LOVE to see that original fantasy version of Destiny, maybe following a lot of thematic elements from our Destiny but more grounded and acting as a more traditional fantasy. I have an itch to write that now

i think they should make a joint game where they un sunset every dlc and make it purchase able content where they add things for each of the old dlcs ( discounted for people who bought them originally) and aswell as add back all original raids like they are doing already. aswell as a replay system where we can replay current destiny 2 and old destiny 1 campaigns
It would have been nice if they used the Galaxy pools area as a place like the lighthouse when you go flawless but for finishing the Dares of eternity where you could collect your loot.
Following the final shape gameplay reveal trailer, that prismatic shader might be coming back or may be the new effect in transcendence
I’ve never played d1, but i’ve looked at all kinds of stuff for years now. Never knew about half of these. Quite interesting
One thing I miss is weapons that had changeable scopes; really cool detail that was a great part of the game
The galaxy pool area might have been a boss arena as part of the tease of the black ship attack like we would have warped there in a vision from the traveler fight a tormentor or some early concept of it and boom tease the up coming black fleet. It may have been kept just as a "we dont know when but we are going to use this area somehow " and it just never came to but is still kept just in case cause its like you said a really great set piece area
Just watching the 2013 E3 reveal trailer shows so much of what could have been.
And then we had to pay $160 for a fraction of what it once was
All things considered, what we have now is better then what we could have had, the game has had ups and downs, but people fantasize what could have been too much

I love how they wanted to add a locking in mechanic to make you more powerful to adding prismatic which is just a fluid everything class

I've just now made the connection that Savathun, the "Witch Queen", did a very similar thing to the "Witch" in that old opening cutscene - appearing to humans before the Traveler shows up and indicating it's imminent arrival. I wonder if that was meant to be her, even back then.

I think that they should allow Loot sharing in the way Division 2 does where you have to be with them when it drops and have a few hours to trade before it's locked to you. Like say you get the roll that you're mate wants and they have one you want so you trade the drops.
man , i reinstalled destiny 2 & hundreds of women flooded my dms, they said "wow, do you main solar titan??" at first i was afraid (i do not talk to women) Then, I began to understand this is the power of destiny 2, the game. This is what Bungie has been working towards all these years

During destiny 1 I was obsessed with cut content, going back and watching the early gameplay reveals and seeing the differences was so cool. If this video would have came out 5-7 years ago I would’ve been an estatic teen lol
There is a blue ornament set for the VOG armor in d1. Just like the wrath of the machine armor sets, it got two sets of ornaments for age of triumph. One being the brand new ornament set and another being a blue version og the original vog set. Its most likely a reference to that set in the api that never got released.
It’s crazy seeing all these old pictures and all the rumors surrounding them and going “I remember that!!!! That’s what happened?!?!”
In final shapes trialer, the one with the gameplay reveal, we hear what i think is a unfamiliar voice, maybe that is the return of the Traveler witch
I bet you the magician was the witness. It’s been one of those only constants through most of development history, and it makes sense it would have a name like that that was cut for something more intimidating
I honestly think after the final shape bungie should just reboot and remake destiny 1 following these cut ideas. That way they can a more consistent story that they actually wanted to make, making everything more original.

imo while most of these ideas would sound cool in the current game they definitely got placed in better positions that they fit better in than they would have been before, like most of these id personally love to see integrated into what we currently have one way or another, for example the exo stranger assistant thing could be changed to this: when the exo stranger first awoke in the last city she was recruited by this exo as an assistant who taught her things and gave her information in exchange for her working for him but after a while he let her go her way back to the last city(that boss of the exo stranger could have been an old friend of zavala that zavala entrusted the exo stranger to) and it would def add just one more npc to the roster
mashing crota and oryx in one massive raid with more encounters would be badass
Agreed, hoping the witness raid will have 7+ encounters that aren't jumping puzzles
All of the raid sparrows had that overdrive function but it still would have been cool to get an exotic one...
The unused blue VoG armor was used actually, albeit they were made into the second set of ornaments for the Age of Triumph VoG armor
*here's a seriously huge amount of info i really really hope unknown player sees, as its more content to dive into and leads to more things*
theres 1 thing that hasnt been mentioned, and i urge people to try and find it, a clip that originally debuted on MoreConsole's channel where a viewer sent in a video where a fallen dreg ran away from the player called the guardian 'the darkness' and saying 'run away, the darkness is here' and pointing at you. (dregs run and take cover when you kill the captain, because they share the halo ai of elites and grunts).
this video (lost in years of content, potentially unlisted too) proves that destiny's base story was set to expose the traveller as evil. which actually lines up with a lot of early days scrapped content and writings.
there's even another MoreConsole video that exposes a forum that got a site shut down and cease and desist from bungie because they had leaked content on it that someone on the dev team exposed anonymously. which contained writings from Joseph Staten shortly before Staten left bungie for Bioware and pinched a bunch of the Dev team with him. (this is also why Bioware had an issue with mass effect 3's ending, as half the Bioware team left to join bungie). the contents of this forum sheds light on the fact that the traveller was originally a being that travelled between realities, absorbing worship from civilisations, then once they can't worship it anymore, or doubt starts happening, it leaves. the traveller was evil. this also leads into how how Rasputin shot the traveller down, as the traveller went through enough alternative realities that it eventually encountered Rasputin not knowing what he's capable of, and after Rasputin saw what happened to the fallen (he deduced that servitors were the fallen equivalent of our ghosts) he prevented the traveller from leaving. the traveller didn't stay to defend humanity like everyone thought, the traveller stayed because if it left, it couldn't make the trip to the next universe.
i dont know what happened to either of the videos containing this content, but they are very very deeply buried in the past, much of this was when youtube wasnt owned by google, and had its own inbox system, i used to talk with moreconsole regularly through it, but after a system called "google+" was implimented, many channels, including moreconsole, lost a lot of videos, followers/subs, etc. he even made a second channel called 'alanconsole' to have a new log in while he was being messed with by the system changes.
so far, the only way i can imagine getting these videos is to talk to him directly, a now almost impossible task unless you're a content creator yourself.

Galaxy pools is one if the most famous, mysterious and coolest locations in Destiny 2.
It's a pain in the ass to reach, tedious and takes a long time but it's still cool nonetheless
there is a leaked internal alpha version of the game that has just been found and hasn’t been opened yet. imagine the cut stuff from an internal 2012 build!!
Do you have a source for this? There’s a video that was uploaded/found a while ago of destiny 1 in development. Just of lots of clips of different things they were working on at the time. This came from an ex dev I believe on their portfolio.
Can’t help but feel like that’s what you’re referring too. Haven’t seen or heard anything to do with a leaked internal alpha build being a thing and it only just being found.

Man this makes me sad! So many cool things that I wish would come to Destiny 2 and even so many good things from D1 that I wish all of the content would come back with greatly expanded areas.

The Magician might've been referencing the Speaker using tarot cards as a metaphor fwiw, the meanings associated with The Magician as a tarot card reflect both of the ways the Speaker presented himself. In D1 he presented himself as speaking for the traveler as though he was guided by its will, and in D2 before Ghaul kills him he admits to being a fraud and both of these sides of him coincide pretty well with the upright and reversed positions of The Magician pretty well
What about oryxs basketball court? Did any body ever figure out what that was for? I also remember there was some sort of secret in the subway map in crucible that I dont think anybody discovered.
Imagine what we could have had if Bungie hadn't gotten greedy and removed 90% of the game to sell back to us later. Not to mention the game was so fragmented at that point that even after $160 we didn't get the full game back

Pretty sure it was the Activision higher ups that rejected the original story and forced the dev team to scramble to piece content together.
the fact nobody realized anything mentioned in this video is sad, it was so obvious to me and my friends 😢 especially when d2 came out and they just scrapped load zones that were in the files of Destiny 1 for IO in D2 and we have confirmation now because you can open the map files for Destiny 1 in blender and see all the cut content, including the pyramid loads and scrapped strikes on mars that became d2 io strikes, it was so obvious they reskinned venus and mars into nessus and io
To correct some errors in the video: The vex void was based in the pyramidion area of Mars. The D1 pyramidion has different geometry to the D2 version, as the D1 version was a raid. The pyramidion area connected through the cabal base (Giants scar in D2) to the door in the rubicon wastes in D1 Mars. This is known as the files for the pyramidion and adjacent areas were found in D1. The leaked vex cinematic re-used for season of the Undying was originally intended for the vex void, and the older version of the video is inside the martian pyramidion.
Curse of Osiris was made exclusively for D2 and is not cut content.
The Pyramidian itself via the files also places it under the map and its insanely huge compared to the rest of the map. Surprised this video didn't mention the cut D2 Shard area of which some files remain in the game and it was somehow linked to the unnamed "Galaxy Pools" area.

The fantasy element would have been pretty cool. Even if it’s like in another galaxy for future content
I feel like the Prodigal armour design has been the default titan armour design since the very beginning of Destiny 1. Bungie always used it for D1 Titan demos for whatever reason.

I would LOVE to see the foundries take their place. Like have a Hakke and Veist and Suros vendors in the tower, simply the system so you progres them by defeating targets with their guns.

King's Fall actually never had Harrowed armor. There were harrowed weapons, and Bungie added Age of Triumph ornaments that gave the sets a black color and blue glow, along just generally being WAY cooler than the base sets, but no harrowed armor. That image also isn't official. It's fan-made.

I definitely think it was wack to not have trading. Theres so many times during which i want to be able to gift my stuff to someone.
Im still upset they canned the whole siva thing in d2, like i wish we saw it still around out there it was on board every exodus ship, even if it’s in a lesser degree than the plague lands, the stuff is everywhere on many ships, and heck we finally i think got acknowledgment of it again with lightfall through the logs i think
Like they just kinda wrote out siva, when it could be an interesting plot point to see enemies getting ahold of it or heck us using it would be super dope outside of the outbreak

They definitely need to do a destiny 3. I think this game needs a good loot reset so when they make new guns there not all pretty much useless
