Wind Whistler was a good character, and very influential to G4, she's highly intelligent, strategic, a logical thinker & seems like it's possible that she has autism(not entirely sure but might still be a possibility), kind of like Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash's mom Windy Whistles has a modified version of Wind Whistler's name, plus she's almost the exact same shade of blue, and all three of them are Pegasi, Wind Whistler will always be one of my favorite G1 Ponies.
I can only imagine how frustrated Wind Whistler feels having to explain herself every time she says something. I guess it’s not easy being the smartest pony.

Like, "Welcome to Hell, Megan!" and "It's all your fault, you k!lled them." cause she's smiling behind the girl's back as she looks like she's crying into her hands. That's all I needed to say. TH-cam can now purge the comments for the kiddies. LOL
This is how to write a smart character as well as a responsible one and kind one and the brave one and over all best character. All without being a Mary Sue.
the very first mlp rescue at midnight castle literally never stops. its like back then they had no budget for screen time. they wouldnt even hold on a frame or stretch animation. they just packed everything they could into 25 minutes.

It's a catch-22 because yes, a lot of 80s toons were corny and marred with animation errors galore, but they also had some massive cojones when it came to scaring kids. Animators used to have a lot more faith in kids and what they're able to handle.
One of the many things I love about Wind Whistler is her singing voice. You could tell most of the cast were rather shaky with the singing, but with her it's apparent that her VA actually did have some pretty solid singing chops.
To me she gives off a vibe of wise motherly figure who would guide the others. Maybe like an Optimus Prime or Celestia of sorts. I'm just thinking of possible ideas if someone were to write a au fanfic
I have long admired Wind Whistler for her intelligence and compassion. That said, Crunch the Rockdog really bugs me as an episode given how late it came in the series and now often we see Wind Whistler openly express herself before that point.
@@jacobjcb8883 That's a possible explanation alright, it goes against actual character development though. More than anything, I put it down to the largely inconsistent nature of the writing back then.
