oh, if only being excited for G6 was that easy... G5 was a nightmare through and through. what started off with a promising movie almost immediately went off the rails, crashed and burned beyond redemption. if Hasbro really wants G6 to have even the tiniest chance at being something watchable, they really need to get their shit together. but ever since that Cocks creep took over as CEO, i've basically lost all hope.

How would you feel about Hasbro NOT making a TV show but an online, frequently-updating, open-world rpg with gacha mechanics for ponies? Maybe like Genshin Impact (if you’ve heard of it), but combat is purely optional to advance (friendship power!!!)

Twisentry never got hate from one group it was more like a combination of things and mini groups that all added up to a large portion of the fandom disliking the ship and Flash himself. Obviously yes there were the self inserters/self shippers that hated him but there were also people that didn't mind Twilight in a relationship with someone but preferred her with a different character, then there were the people that wanted Twi to be gay, and then theres also the people that just don't like flash sentry or find him boring or just don't like equestria girls period and hate him simply because hes apart of EG The actual reason FiM got popular was because cartoons were not in a pretty spot in the early 2010s and it came out at the right time. Cartoon network was killing all their action cartoons and Nick was doing the same to anything that wasn't spongebob but then here comes MLP an actual half decent cartoon that defied all expectations and people who weren't even really fans of the show got into it just cause it was popular. Everyone just assumed it was going to be another mediocre commercial but it caught everyone by surprise. The original bronies from 4chan (who most see as the people who popularized the show but whether or not this is true is debatable) very much are not the "break away from masculine norms" type at least not in the way MLP would imply and the brony stereotypes most definitely originated from that crowd (especially the racism) and it doesn't help MLP statistically has some of the most adult content of any franchise on the internet thats just a fact

I know you went with some evidence for Zipp and Pipp being twins, but I am still hesitant to believe it. I'm older than my younger sister by nearly exactly two years, and we were often the same height as kids, she's actually taller than me now. There's also the comic arc "sister switch", there's a picture of Zipp holding Pipp, the way a slightly older sister would hold the younger one. I would know, we have very similar pictures of me and my sister from when she was a baby. This was still a very interesting video, I had never thought about the way twins were represented in the franchise and how poorly understood they are! I hope you get some good pony twin representation in the future!

6:16 I wonder The ponies in Ponyville had no idea what a Unicorn is either, but the castle had information on them and even a map to Unicornia. And Spike also remembers Unicorns from 1000 years ago It's possible that back in the day Ponyville had contact with the pegasi as well (I've also always wondered what Ponyville's Celebration castle was supposed to be celebrating. Happiness or Friendship maybe?)

I feel like the genuine best thing to do would be to continue with a new cast... like those dudes in the freidnship academy or whatever? They were nice. Or Luster Dawn, or something. I hate the idea of killing off all the g4.

One major problem I found going from G4 -> G5 wasn’t the story it was the animation and character design of Zipp Storm. When it came to how it was animated I found the movie to be ok, but when they went to the 2d animation it was like they wanted me to hate it even more. But regardless of both the 2d and 3d I’ve always hated the look of zipp storm. She has always looked weird to me which sucks when she is also one of the main characters, and all the other main characters look perfectly fine.

“He’s like Grogu.” Well that’s just an insult to Grogu. At least Grogu’s actually cute, which I can’t say for Sparky.

Make me sad that mlp tale have 1 season I just wish they have more they are awesome series

I love G2 because the ponies look so pretty! I really want to get Silver Swirl because she is gorgeous but she is far too expensive in box for me to get 😢

This is the exact same experience that I had with this show I thought that I wouldn’t like it because most of the fantasy elements weren’t present, with the episode “up, up, and away” being the exception with the magical winged ponies appearing briefly But the fact that it’s just a simple slice of life show makes it really comforting to watch I still prefer mlp n friends because of my own personal biases but tales just has better writing

The reason G4 was so good is because one of the people that helped a lot was Lauren Faust, A FAN OF MLP! GET THE FANS, ASK THEIR OPINIONS AND YOULL GET SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE ACTAULKY WANT!

G6 NEEDS TO BE ITS OWN THING! EVERYONE AGREES!!! Ok. So I think that if you wanna bring people in with G4 nostalgia, make the original G4 toys everyone loves again! I’d buy them! But G6 needs to be a seperate thing with its own toys too. AND KEEP THE BRUSHABLES! Also I feel like a mlp ripoff Wild manes is more mlp than mlp. Also g5 wa s pretty good, keep all the big magic and lore to make your mark and the silly things to the tell your tale.

I have almost NO hope for G6 AT ALL. why? because: 1) Hasbro literally outed themselves with G5 as one of the most disgustingly disrespectful, incompetent, braindead and hateful corporations in the business; 2) G5 left such a gigantic wound to the MLP name that it's gonna take a LOOOONG time - possibly even YEARS - for it to properly heal and recover. this is why I dropped MLP and moved on to manga and anime. because even with all of that medium's faults and problems, at least Japan has proven time and time again thar it actually CARES about its audience more than the corporate turds over at Hasbro. so no, I'm not looking forward to G6 at all, whenever it comes (unless some last-minute miracle happens).

I love Mane 6 but older generation 1-3 deserves to come back to G6

Here are my ideas for MLP G6: 1: Different body types, as well as some extra details like freckles. Unicorns would have lion-like tails, similar to how they are portrayed in medieval tapestries, which also extends to pegacorns/alicorns. Pegasi are fluffy and feathery, which also extends to pegacorns/alicorns. 2: The Original Six Ponies [Blue Belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Snuzzle, Minty, Blossom] as main characters, but in a way similar to FIM, where the characters have new designs and personalities. Blue Belle is a pegacorn, and her color scheme and cutie mark are similar to her G1 counterpart, but her mane and tail have a medium blue stipe. Blue Belle is the daughter of Queen Majesty and was sent to Ponyville to make new friends. She was accompanied by her dragon Sparks and her Fairy Tail bird Tricky Tails. She is a bookworm, constantly learning new magic, but is also rather shy. She is the current holder of the Rainbow Of Light. Butterscotch is a Flutter Pony, with her color scheme and cutie mark resembling her G1 counterpart. But Butterscotch is a tomboy, loving sports and always having a race with her friendly rivals Firefly and Whizzer. Butterscotch left Flutter Valley because she wanted more adventure but is on good terms with the other Flutter Ponies. Cotton Candy is a Pegasus, with dark pink and blue hair, white freckles on her face, and her cutie mark is based on G3 Cotton Candy's cutie mark. Cotton Candy is very playful and loves encouraging other ponies to have fun, but she's also a big eater, especially if it's flowers. She has a cafe that she runs with other ponies [such as Sweetberry, Pinkie Pie, Bumblesweet, etc...]. Snuzzle is an earth pony who is very kind and caring, always making sure everyone is okay, and tending to any injuries they have. Yet she isn't afraid to stand up to bullies and villains, which sometimes gets her into trouble. This also includes other animals. Snuzzle has a Fairy Tail bird named Tea Rose Tails. Minty is a mint green earth pony with a pink and light pink mane, blue gemstone eyes, and a cutie mark composed of four four-leaf clovers. She is very curious about the world, always wanting to learn, but is VERY clumsy, and sometimes has low self-esteem, but she can always be counted on to save the day and has a close bond with her friends. Minty is a descendant of Applejack The Great, a clumsy pony who rescued other ponies from an evil wizard, with them getting gemstone eyes as a result, yet she is very humble about this. Blossom is a unicorn with an identical design to her G1 counterpart, she is blind and relies on vibrations and auras to maneuver, but don't underestimate her! Blossom is a gardener who takes pride in all of her flowers and is VERY protective of them. She almost put Cotton Candy in a hibernation spell for eating one of her favorite flowers but realized how awful that would be and sincerely apologized. As a result, Cotton Candy has agreed not to eat any flowers that are a part of someone's garden. 3: Detailed worldbuilding. I think G6 should take inspiration from Teddy Ruxpin and Fraggle Rock when it comes to both worldbuilding and storytelling. Being able to be chill while occasionally getting dark can definitely help G6. Despite being a talking animatronic toy, Teddy Ruxpin's worldbuilding is AMAZING! I recommend watching the Come Dream With Me Tonight documentary series on Ken Forsee for the history of Teddy Ruxpin, the incredible worldbuilding behind him, and Ken Forsee's life. 4: More pony-like designs and traits. Real ponies are really cute, and I'd love to see G6 blend the G1, G3, and G2 designs together for a cute, cartoon-y design, while still being pony-like. 5: More non-pony species. I mentioned dragons and the Fairy Tail birds [which were originally from a failed toyline also by Hasbro], but I'd also like to see other fantasy creatures as well as the Pony Friends, a series of different animals made in G1. Kingsley The Lion, Creamsicle The Giraffe, and Cutesaurus The Dinosaur would be so fun to see again! 6: High-quality writing. Hire writers who care or at least respect the franchise's past and let them have more freedom than they had in G5.

MLP needs to return to it’s roots if it wants to survive the 2020s and remain relevant in the future. Collectibles are a great business and a huge opportunity door Hasbro is not paying attention too. The care bears are still relevant because they release new bears every year, and Ty’s Beanie Babies were a craze in their heyday. With special gimmicks and quirks. Hasbro could make loads of money by selling limited edition ponies and those ponies worth will go up by a ton once they are discontinued. While the core ponies and play sets can still be a secondary focus.
