The Pelicans were JUST getting attention nationally too, going into a brutal stretch to end the season. This sucks.
They got extra large attention from Stephen A Smith too.
Well they got attention now; weather they want it or not
@@Skipppp8705brother u cant even spell whether right so u can sit this one out piggy
this happens every season istg
only a bone bruise lessgo
Hyperextended knee shit makes me cringe so hard. Blood, vomit, etc. doesn't phase me. But seeing someone's knee bend the wrong way gets me every time.
cool
Bruh said blood doesn't phase him. U ain't even seen people be completely blown off from motorcycle crashes or workplace accidents blowing out a limb. Some ppl never seen the world
@@raymondqiu8202what are you even talking about?
@@pandoman2547brother is acting like people getting their limbs blown off is a part of everyday conversation
@@sebastiang.3730 no it's not, but he was talking about a knee bending backwards makes him cringe when that's nothing compared to many worse injuries he hasn't seen
Damn man this sucks smh.
Great break down Doc!
That frontal plane was hard to watch! 😮🤦🏾♂️
I would love to watch games with Brian... he seems like he'd be super chill and knowledgable about a lot of stuff.
Man would be writing his script and analysis in the stands if someone has an injury 😂
No shit Sherlock
Prayers man..., BI and the pels deserve a healthy run
he’s a millionaire he’ll be okay
stop praying for millionaire’s
"Deserving" has Nothing to do with Anything.
He can play or he Can't. This is Not charity game.
@@obe124 man you are one poor bitter dude, hope you have better days coming too
@obe124 are you angry because someone is worried about an injured human?
That sucks man that really sucks. It’s just hard to watch honestly any injury I almost feel that athletes pain myself. A guy playing his sport not suspecting anything and then boom his body gives out or some trauma occurs and in the blink of an eye his career or even life can be irrecoverably altered.
The average NBA career is very short and these guys all know why. That said, his life will be fine. He has tens of millions of dollars, and $36mil more coming to him next season, even if this was a career ending injury. I'm much more concerned about your average person having trouble paying rent😂
@@veganpotterthevegan facts bro these people are too parasocial, ingram is a millionaire he’ll be fine
@@veganpottertheveganyall make it all about the money bro that’s not everything. these people have a passion for the sport and being unexpectedly taken away from that can suck. “He’s got millions he’ll be fine” is a stupid ass sentence
@sideactivist I'm not. These guys still retire and have a leg up just by being former NBA players. You won't find any ex-NBA players without plenty of friends unless they don't want them
@sideactivist you should definitely stick to being an activist on the side. I can imagine you have trouble comprehending conversation. So do you automatically think someone is just fine because they're active in the NBA then?🤡
Amazing video. This is top tier stuff. Great work! Loved the illustrations
I always love and hate your videos. I love them, because they're so damn interesting, but it always means, that somebody got hurt. Thanks for your content! Please keep making it!
I love your channel.
Doc, love ur urgency when posting, more power!
Bone bruise for brandon. Praise the LORD! As a pels fan im so grateful that it wasnt worse
I had one but I slipped on black ice and my did a split and my knee cap on my left knee slammed right into the other patch of ice
Took weeks to stop being sore
DAMN, the first second got me looking away from the screen already, I wasn't ready to see that 😖😖
Thank you
Prayers
Is the recovery time for PCL comparable or the same as an ACL? As always excellent work Doc, I’ve had multiple knee surgeries and you’d have my complete confidence if you operated on me. Hoping for the best diagnosis for B.I.
See you next season BI.
Poor guy hope he recovers fast and it’s not seriously 🙏🙏🙏
He was diagnosed with only a bone contusion, very blessed
I did one of these playing basketball myself and the pain was immense. There was tears.
@brian Sutterer MD: I know some folks are researching into it, but just from the eye test: today’s player moves more dynamically, explosively, and in space. Do you think that has an effect on some of the wear and tear injuries (or freak injuries) we see over an 82 game season compared to the past?
That best case 1-2 weeks seems like a real rosy outlook.
Bone contusion, reavaliation in 2 weeks, knowing Pelicans, this can mean out until playoffs, or career ending injury
Praying for 2-weeks injury timetable
Happened to me going for loose ball never got it checked out it felt weak and hard to control it while walking for awhile I was back in 2 weeks playing pain free🎉
Same thing with me, Going on a fast break and slowstepping. It felt unstable for about a week and then I was back to playing in two weekends
I know it may not be as popular, but could you react and explain the injuries suffered by austin forkner in supercross? He wrecked bad a couple weeks ago and would love to hear your thoughts on how the medical crew handled the situation
You knocked it out of the park he is getting reevaluated in two weeks but when I originally saw it I said hyperextension but the way he was holding the bottom of the knee I was worried and thought it could be a meniscus tear and that our (pelicans) season was over with a no playoff season or a first round playoff series 4 games to 0 exit
Magic fan here hoping it’s only the bone bruise/strained ligaments side of the spectrum and a quick recovery for BI
I did this trying to run down a snowy slope after popping off an innertube sled. That body weight tips forward, and just keeps tipping..
yep, bone bruise. Probably what I had; sore as heck for almost a month
That looked seriously bad. Looks like he'll be done for the season. Hoping for a quick recovery. It'll be a miracle if hes back for playoffs
You should do a video of Kevin Huerters injury
Damn... 😔
Hyper extended my knee once when a player tripped right into my knee. It was the most painful injury I had. Took me months to be able to run again
Looks like what happened to paul George a few seasons ago when he fell on lu dort
Not only was it last season, it was exactly 1 year ago on 3/21/23, that’s crazy
@@qj6982that’s an omen considering PG wasn’t able to return that year
This man helped me make the necessary decision to help my fantasy NBA team
bless ingram, hope a fast recover
As soon as I heard Microfracture the first name that came to mind being a Suns fan was Amare Stoudamire. He was freakishly athletic and had some monstrous dunks. He was out for a long time to clean debris from his knees and never played the same. He was still good but he lost a lot of that explosiveness he had. He just got inducted into the Suns Ring of Honor. Hope Ingram recovers, he's a damn good player.
Medicine going to be better today than when stack got injured
Informative video explaining that Ingram could be out for a few weeks or the whole season. Id still say it’s hard to tell from this play it’s a 50/50.
He will be re evaluated in two weeks no structural damage
What treatments have him get that he can back to the court so quick😮I suffered from the same injury one year ago and this shit still bother me now😢
Ouchie
He grabs the front of his knee. From your description, that sounds like bone bruising or fracture on the front, right? If it was one of the ligaments, wouldn’t you expect the pain to be in the back? Realize it could be a combination of the two. Anyway, I feel like this is an important diagnostic clue (although I’m not a doctor!)
i doubt this would be a bone bruise
@@sethc2241that’s exactly what it was diagnosed as .. dude knew what he was talking about
@@Gspmitch guess it was, looked more soft tissue damage to me
Dang I was right y’all! Flock up!
@@sethc2241Well I guess I’d make a better doctor than you then 😉
I hyperextended my knee during a soccer game trying to come to a quick stop. I screamed because I felt a weird spasm down to my toes and my leg was numb for a minute. After getting to the bench I felt fine and went back into the game a couple minutes later.
Hey Doc, it was just found out that Andy Murray ruptured his CFL. I don’t think I’ve seen you cover this type of injury before. Do you think a deeper delve is warranted?
Man, I wish refs would call carrying. I just don’t understand how that wasn’t called here.
Damn. Pels are elite when healthy, the health just never lasts long. Shake back B.I.
It feels like there has to be something going on at smoothie king arena for them to be getting hurt this much.
@@thezackast2752 the game was played in orlando...
Based on the footage, it appears that the individual, who is heavyset with long limbs, may have experienced tearing of the PCL, significant bruising of the isquialtibial tendons and bone, and possibly a meniscal injury. Given the severity of these indications, it's unlikely that recovery will be resolved within a mere two weeks.
Magic fan here. Happy we won, disappointed BI got injured. Great player!
i read somewhere that worst case could be upto 12 month recovery time. Is that accurate?
similar injury to saddiq bey? torn acl?
That looks like that Bo Jackson
One of the pitfalls of playing a grueling 82 game season. Guys are dropping like flies.
Is this sarcasm?
@@CornellD.Cavendishnah, the season’s too long with the new style of bball
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
At this point i expect BI to he done for at least 3-4 weeks. I really hope it isn't an ACL tear he's just entering his prime.
When players go down without contact it's almost always a tear.
I Hope it's nothing serious
bye playoffs
@@karna6634he’s gonna be back by then but ok
@@FlamesAndWaves nope i doubt it
Pelicans bad luck with injuries is just wild
React to monk injury
Damn man hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks
They said he will be out for probably 2 weeks. Should be back for playoffs
He is done for the season what a shame
To me this injury looks like what Jaylon Smith did in his last game at Notre Dame, at the bowl game, which single handed scaring pro-ready guys out of playing in meaningless bowl games. But I think Smith’s knee went further into hyperextension than 40 degrees and maybe that’s why he ended up with severe internal damage and significant nerve damage as well.
Expect them to go 6-9 to finish the season... This will get interesting.
It’s that voodoo/hoodoo curse down in New Orleans… my Pels just can never be fully healthy. We can’t have anything man.
that's really unfortunate.
Bball gods really wants to challenge Zion.
Can you react to the recent Conor Mcgregor interview with Jake. It seems he is having possible withdrawals from cocaine. Others say could just be anxiety. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Prayers up! Need you by next week fantasy playoffs. 🥲
Is this similar to what happened to Giannis in their championship year?
reevaluated in 2 weeks, at least not OFS 🙏
MRI showed bone contusion in his knee.
These hyper extension injuries are becoming more common lately
"it's gotta be the shoes...."
Athletes are continuously pushing the boundaries on what defines athletism, becoming more and more explosive, and the human body can only take so much force.
😢. Shake back bigdawg
That’s a torn acl
hope he stays out this week to heal up
A quad tendon can be torn as he flexes his thighs and tries to keep the knee from bending all the way back! Sad. This happened to a soccer player I know.
what about joel embiid ?
He's done.
Just a bone contusion/brush. Thanks God
Noooo
Damn! There gos my fantasy playoffs!
Get well B.I
There goes the pels chances
People are watching the NBA right now?
Sengun, White, Embiid, DMitchell, Ben Simmons..... OK maybe not Ben Simmons....
And other players are going down before the playoffs....
The basketball gods are out for blood.... This is because of the no defence games....
Jesus christ, that's a nasty injury.
It looks bad like the boy might need crutches, a knee brace, and some doctors that know what they are doing. He's gonna be out for a while.
It’s just a bone contusion he’s out two weeks we good
ACL goes pop like the weazl...get better soon
Bo Jackson was almost bent in half with body weight to the left. His injured hip. Knee was in front of him.
Looks like Giannis’s injury a while back
Lack of leg muscle to stabilize the knees.
I was thinking the same and I’m a Pels fan
Not my boyfriend Brandon Xavier Ingram 😔
BI brittle boi
Wow this sucks for Ingram
Sure looked like an ACL. Something I know of first hand.
Pels are still cursed as the Clippers due to that rigged CP3 trade
For a doctor you sure have a lot of time.
What a weird comment lol how dare he have free time, worry about your own life
More efficient with his time than you, hater.
Hope it's serious. Ain't nobody wants to see the pelicans in the playoffs.
Bro imagine someone saying they hope you were seriously injured. The higher power got something special for people like yourself.
@@parisbarton4304 Yea, I can imagine that. Can you?
