Great video, thanks for explaining so well. I love the way you call the machine "she", I do that all the time 😂. That's a lovely design, must look for it. 😊

Hi Courtney, Thank you for the wonderful demonstration on cutting wood. I most definitely give it a try and I will be attending the Allbrands online show this Thursday.
See you tomorrow. - Courtney
Hi Courtney I would love ❤ for you make a tutorial of how to make words in the balsa wood and resizing the cut file ❤ thanks Courtney ❤
I used wood veneer to make my bookmarks. Thank you for a great video ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching. -Courtney
Love balsa wood. With your design you could cut it out of card stock, remove the bookmark hole as long as it can be removed then duplicate the design 4 times and then weld all four sections together glue the two open sides together and make a candle holder. You would use a battery-operated candle to fit in the center of the candle holder. Seems to me there might be a video on how to do just that here on TH-cam somewhere. Love the feather bookmark as well. It looks really cool. You did a great job of demonstrating. I think I will be making one. Thank you.
The possibilities really are endless. - Courtney
Thank you Courtney for another great show. My husband could not believe that the scanNcut could cut wood, because he is a wood worker himself.
I am still waiting for a you tube on Rhinestones.I have the kit but not have opened it yet.
Rhinestone video in the works. - Courtney
@@allbrands1976 Thank you, Coutney, Can't wait to do this.
Oh cool! I have Balsa Wood that I bought from Cricut, but then found out my Cricut Explore Air 2 cutting machine won't cut out any wood, & that I would have to buy an Cricut Maker instead..But Thankfully I don't need to upgrade because you just showed me that my ScanN'Cut SDX125 will cut it out! I am so happy I have this cutting machine!!! 😊
So many possibility on the ScanNCut thats one of the main things I love about it. Any crazy ideas I come up with it can do. - Courtney
Ooh this is great! I wonder if having a separate blade such as the deep cut blade or just a spare blade for the auto blade holder to use for cutting balsa wood and tougher materials would be a good idea as I’m guessing it may blunt the blade faster and then your paper and card may not be cut as well. I guess it would depend on how much you are cutting out. I would love to get some of this wood and try it out 😊
I keep a separate black auto blade for things like this. - Courtney
I haven't bought my Scan and cut yet but I'm about to.
2 questions:
1. Will my pre-purchased Cricut Mats work in the machine?
2. When doing wood, could I use the BACK side of a brother mat and tape it down?
Hi Courtney, I've been having problems cutting wood with the machine i have the sdx220D. I find it comes out rough or on the last layer cut the whole mat moves! I would appreciate if you could give advice or have more videos for wood. 😊
Another awesome tutorial/video👏👏. Question🧐. Live show @ 3pm… central time?
Hi Michelle. It's 3:30pm cst. - Courtney
Hi! Love your channel and all the knowledge you share! I have 2 mm balsa wood and cannot cut it out good. Is 2 mm to thick? I use an auto blade only dedicated to this. One out of 10 times it cut my shape somewhat ok but it’s been a struggle. Any tips? Thanks once again 🤗
I second this, I'm having trouble cutting balsa wood as well.
can you paint the wood before you cut it or does the wood come in different colors thanks?
Thank you so much for this tutorial I think I will get this machine can you please tell me wich model you using in this tutorial thanks❤ do you think the 125 will cut also this material
Hi I'm using the SDX325. It can be found on our website Allbrands.com- Courtney
I must have missed it. How many passes were required to cut all the way thru?
Hi Courtney, do you know what thickness your balsa wood is? Ive been trying to cut a 2mm balsa wood peice with my sdx1000 with no luck. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
Can you show how to cut wood Xmas ornaments
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching - Courtney
Great demonstration but it didnt work for me unfortunately. I used 3mm Balsa flex wood. The same bookmark as in demo turned out in bits. :{
Where do you buy your balsam wood.
I purchased this one from Hobby Lobby but did not like the quality. - Courtney
Can I use the deep blade instead?
If you are using a CM model use the deep cut blade. You will have to use balsa wood thats thinner than 3mm. - Courtney
Whaaaaaat?????????
